I bought a pack of Windows 7 OEM System Builder. But now I've lost my product key of the box, how can I recover it?

You can not

The key was on a COA sticker must be on a sticker that you * should * have stamped on the case of the machine.

If the OS is installed (properly with the key), you can read it using a tool such as Belarc Advisor - www.belarc.com

How to install windows 7 OEM System Builder Pack on my own hard drive?

    Hey rcseng.

You must perform a clean installation of Windows before installing the OEM System Builder Pack. Prior to this, download and install the preinstallation OEM (OPK) Kit which is included in the OEM System Builder Pack. You can also download the Microsoft Web site OEM preinstallation kit.

Here is the link to it:

Windows 7 OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK)

The Windows OEM preinstallation Kit (Windows OPK) is a set of tools and documentation that support automated installation and customization of the Windows operating system. The OPK is easy to install and use, and will save you time compared to a manual installation.

  • Windows XP Professional said that he has failed the Windows Genuine Advantage test. But I called the Windows Activation and the officer confirmed that my product key is genuine. How can I make Windows genuine?

I recently bought a copy of Windows XP Professional. I installed and activated Windows XP while I had an Internet connection. This went well. I then download Microsoft Security Essentials, who then informed me that my copy of Windows is maybe not authentic. Confused, I downloaded the WGA tool, who confirmed that my Windows XP was not authentic.

The Microsoft product activation call and reading my product to a CSR key, he confirmed that the key was official and I have to contact Technical Support. But Tech Support costs a bit of money, and I'm only 15 years to be honest (Yes, I have a bit of technical knowledge).
My question is this: is it possible that I can make genuine Windows? This problem is getting boring now. I tried to reinstall Windows XP and re - enter the product key (I tried an online activation and a phone).
    Thanks in advance.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Samsung: Press the F4 key to the Samsung logo when you turn first.

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

  • I bought Fireworks CS5 for Windows own some time ago, but now a MAC, can I get the program that my serial key appears as invalid

According to the title, in 2012, I bought Adobe Fireworks CS5 (version 11) to my Windows PC, I recently bought an iMac and after finding the download link on the Adobe Web site for older versions of the programs, it says my serial key is not valid.

Is that what I can do or I'll have to spend £280 again?

I look forward to hear your responses.

    Hi chewygmb1,

The serial number is platform specific. You cannot use a different platform. You have the version of the Fireworks window, so it can be installed on the windows machine. There is also no option to make an exchange of Windows platform to the Mac as CS5 is no longer supported because we went to the cloud. If you want to use the application on a Mac, then you can go for subscription of cloud.

  • OEM System Builder Pack

Recently, I bought a pack of e/bay Windows 7 OEM System Builder.  When I received the software, the package said that I had to use "OPK" to install the software.  I checked the support technique microsoft on the use of the OPK and it said that I needed to register as an organization using the OEM preinstallation kit.  As the product of the COA came with the software, can't I just install it on a clean hard drive with the provided product key?

It is activated if the product key has never been activated before.

  • Windows XP operating system does not accept the product key on the COA label

    Hi all

After moving to get my laptop fixed I decided it was for long a new copy of Windows XP.
After formatting the hard drive, I can't find my recovery cd!

So I decided to borrow my CD Windows XP Professional of brothers, which I'm sure that Service Pack 2 has built in.

When you try to use my product key on the COA label under the laptop he simply refuses to accept it. :(
Any ideas? I use the wrong version of windows?

The label says 'Windows XP Professional 1-2CPU'
Can I get the Toshiba recovery cd or that would be too expensive.

Any advice would be great, thank you very much.

    Jay.

    Hello

    > Can I get the Toshiba Recovery CD or who would be too expensive.
Yes, it is possible. You can order the recovery of the AEP CD in your country and it should be cheap

I m not 100% sure why the key to the COA label cannot be accepted. Maybe you laptop came with XP Home Edition only and that is why it does not work with XP PRO.

  • Issue of Windows 7 SP1 OEM System Builder Pack

I recently bought the Pack Windows 7 SP1 OEM System Builder and I don't know if I bought the right product. I had to replace my HARD drive (old one crashed) and I felt it was time to leave the world of XP. It will be installed on an existing computer that does not have to be sold. I don't want to open the software until I'm 100% sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

There's nothing wrong with using it, just that there are certain restrictions that apply. In view of this manufacturer of OEM licenses system will soon become only detail existing once stock option full version licenses have been exhausted, I'd say don't worry about this.

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

    Licensing FAQ:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/OEM/en/licensing/sblicensing/pages/licensing_faq.aspx

The main advantage with the retail license is the clause that allows the easy between future materials transfer if that's the case, but I wouldn't worry too much on this subject.

Since you have replaced the drive, it would have been a clean install anyway, even if Windows XP was still in use on the system.

If you are not comfortable with it, you can always go back and buy the full commercial license:

Where can I still get Windows 7?

Full version - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate - full version

Full version - Microsoft Windows 7 Professional

  • Upgrade in Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional by using the OEM System Builder Pack

I built a computer and initially installed Windows 7 Home Premium using an OEM System Builder Pack. Now, I want to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. I have a new OEM System Builder Pack for Windows 7 Professional. How can I do this without losing the files, data, documents, etc., and I can put this copy of Windows 7 Home Premium on another computer? It is a personal computer only. Thank you.

Unfortunately, you will need to do an install custom, which means that your applications and drivers will need to be reinstalled.

If you want to keep your personal files, you can use the custom installation of the configuration to do:

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.
