I can blur part of an image in SG?

A common technique that I use to get the right "look", is to blur a part of an image, usually the background to give it a bit of depth of field in post. Now, I know that I could do it in AE, but it seems like a simple task and therefore directly related to the 'look' of the image, that I should be able to do all of SG by using all their lyers and masks.

Is this possible or do I head to feature request?

To blur a part of an image, you can use two custom looks: GaussianBlur and GaussianBlur (Range).

With GaussianBlur (Range), you can select a range of HLS, as a secondary antibody values, to isolate a part and with both you can use a mask.

To add a custom style, click on the plus sign, in the bottom of the layers panel.

  • I can blur a picture directly in FCPX edges?

I know that I can do in Photoshop and then load the photo in FCPX, but I was wondering if there is a way to do it directly in FCPX (in the sense that it can blur the edges of the dark background image)

The answer is definitely yes--but if or not it's better to do it in Photoshop depends a lot on your workflow.

You'll probably need to use two instances of the photo, on the other:

You can, for example, apply Gaussian blur of the picture from the bottom and apply it to a shape or draw the mask to the top, and control feathering

the mask to get a nice smooth transition from the Center targeted to the fuzzy edges:

Sometimes the only resizing is not the answer because the
the original size is different from the print size.

You may need to crop photos to the size you want
print to ensure that no clipping will occur. Cropping

at least you have control over it.

Windows Live Photo Gallery is a cropping tool.

  • by selecting a required part of the image in a batch

There is a picture of Apple on white canvas. I want the cultures in a way so that my new image contains only a required part (apple only). To explain it clearly, I drew a rectangle around Apple and grapes. I just want what's inside the rectangle. I can't give the height and width to cut because I want to run this script on a lot of images that have different forms (for example apples and grapes here). Do I have to check every pixel to change color (from white to colour) so that I can get the height and width of the real part of every image or there is a better way.

Just thinking about it with slight color differences. A layer of temperature setting can be added to turn the pure white bg, then use the trim command, the button remove the adjustment layer. who will do the trim of the cultures most close to the subject.

Do not apply the mask to the cropping effect. Remove the effect of cropping and apply the mask to the opacity.

  • Help: after changes, the content of part of an image touch tones in the other area of photography

    Hi all

It's a complicated thing, and it's really shake me up. I really hope someone can help.

I'm editing of hundreds of images (a time-lapse of a river movie) and from time to time a ship comes across the scene. When he picks up a certain proportion of the scene (about 1/10), the lighter tones in the image (especially the sky) change and are lighter. When the boat leaves the scene, these tones return to what they should be. All changes are exactly the same from one image to the image, it is only when a boat comes into shot there is a problem with discoloration unwanted tones. Changes include: all cursors Basic, tone curve, HSL for several shades, as well as added upper and radial filters.

I'm not quite sure, but I think that when a ship arrives in scene, other settings change as well (for example, I think maybe for clarity, but I've been focusing on easier to see in the key changes). No numbers change however.

When there is zero edits, then a boat entering the shot is without effect the best tones of the image (the sky). From what I can tell, if I it si je l' ai have edit anything which affects the tone of the sky (for example overall brightness, or graduated filter or the overall clarity), then a boat coming in shot causes the brighter tones of the sky to become best, even if no parameter digital don't alter. I have reproduced the issue by using the same set of images with unique global changes and just graduated filters. I thought it was a problem with global changes, with perhaps a parameter being calculated on the fly for each image, but I did a test with just a graduated filter as well. It has been fixed to not come by hence the boat is in the shot, it's just covered the sky and the problem yet has occurred.

A very interesting observation: if I clone or heal on the boat using the removal tool room in one of the frames problem, the lighter tones then go back to what they should be. When I delete the clone, distributed tones mean. If I change the opacity of the clone hiding in the boat, the tones go unhinged proportionally.

I am editing in Lightroom 5 on a Mac OSX 10.9.5, and the photos in question are raw, shot on a Nikon D3S files (locked in place, the camera movement is not a factor). As a film, a sudden change in tone is really obvious: the movie seems unacceptable flicker. It is essential that I have the necessary control to ensure increase smoothly to an image in the image, and I would have thought that now detail all of the same parameters would be all I need.

It really bites. I'm only enter these time-lapse movies, I used to shoot only stops, and I never noticed a problem like this when editing in LR or ACR in the past (Note: the problem persisted when I tried via Bridge and ACR). FYI: I am a very experienced editor, been using LR since the 1.x version and edit in photoshop since version 3 (not CS3, but version 3, altogether at the time!). Never been this frustrated.

It of a very weird question and cause me to spend hours of extra work to fix it (especially with the adjustment brush and it is very difficult to exactly match what the tones expected to look like).

Thanks in advance for any help, I really need.

    Chas

PS. I'm happy to put in place a set of examples of raw files in this series on Dropbox, if someone wants to try to reproduce the problem.

Time lapse videos like this, you should avoid using one of the HDR-like adjustments. These are shadows, made prominent, white, black and clear. These effects affect different parts of the image according to the overall brightness of the image. Lightroom performs a comprehensive analysis to create on-the-fly masks that affect where the sliders affect the image. When a boat enters the picture, the overall brightness will probably down and Lightroom updates the balance when highlights may affect the image at a different point, which makes the effect of the stronger slider. You might try to use the tone on these images curve and use the graduated filter only with exposure setting (i.e. no clarity, shadows or highlights slider adjustments).

  • Lose a part of the image with the image (for plotter output) object help please... need to file for a job.

Hey guys I'm trying out a file I cut on a plotter. If I watch it 'tracks' mode everything looks good. All the lines are there. If I try and import it into the scalp, he gets all wacked. I had a problem like this once before and I used "expand" in artificial intelligence for him to correct. On this issue when I use 'develop' part of the image disappears (same part that cannot be sen in the tracer software). How can I fix it? "expand appearance" is grayed in HAVE with this file too. Man, I spent a lot of time to get this file done and now it does nothing for me. Thanks in advance.

  • Isolating and expanding the part of an image

I have CS4 and that you want to isolate a small part of an image and expand then superimposed on the original image with a border and an arrow pointing to the original location.

    Dave

    Hello

I've set up a quick tutorial showing how to get the result that tman posted. If I CS6, the process should be about the same.

Isolate / expansion of a portion of an image:

    (1) here is my original image:

    (2) use the Rectangle or the elliptical selection tool to draw a rectangle around the area you want to isolate and enlarge.

    3) press Control C to copy the selected area of the image and the Command V to paste. The section will be duplicated on a new layer, but it won't be easy because it sticks exactly in place.

    4) press the V key to select the move tool and reposition the isolated part where you want.

    (5) hit Command T to switch to Change Mode. Hold down the SHIFT key and drag one of the corners of the box to scale the image proportionally. Pressing enter will be out of the way of transformation and leave the image in place.

Adding a line to an object:

    (1) decisions that you have the correct layer selected (the one that contains the isolated image), click the icon below marked effects to open a launcher. Choose the race.

    (2) in the dialog box change options as desired, and then click OK.

    Create an arrow:

    (1) select the line tool, which can be hidden under the Rectangle tool.

    (2) at the top of the Photoshop window, there will be options to apply to the line that you draw. Choose a background and outline, and then click the gear icon to open the option of arrowheads . Select end and set your desired weight.

    (3) draw an arrow by clicking and dragging.

Note: where the CS4 interface seems very different for the arrow options, try using the directions in this link.

I hope this has been helpful and please let us know if you have trouble with these instructions. We are happy to help you!

  • I need to replace a color on my image with a specific part of the image color.  How do I?

I spent over 2 hours trying to figure out how to replace a color on a part of my image with a specific color indicated on another part of the image.  So far, I was able to go to "Replace color" on my version of Adobe Photoshop, but it seems that I can only change the hue and brightness of the color that it is currently.  I need to use a specific color, so this didn't help me.  Does anyone know how to complete the task that I refer to?

In addition, please keep in mind that I use Adobe Photoshop 6.0, not a fancy cs version or whatever it is.  So it's fairly old school...

Any help/comments are greatly appreciated!  Thank you.

    Hello

In fact, you can choose a specific color using the replace color function!

Go to Image > adjustments >, replace color

Select the color you want to replace. Then, click on the 'Result' box in the section of replacement (see below)

A color picker dialog box opens, where you can use the eyedropper tool to select a specific color in your image, or you can enter the specific RGB/CMYK values.

Please post again if you have any other questions - I use CS6, but as far as I know, this process works the same for PS 6.0.

    Good luck!

  • Levels, curves and exposure do not work on the parts of my image. Why?

I have an image that I made in 3ds Max 2013 using iRay. There is a visible horizon line present in the image I am trying to change. However, levels adjustment, curve or an exhibition does absolutely nothing for the part of the image that I'm trying to change. However, they work on the parts im not trying to change. I don't know that what explains very little, then here is a lower res version showing whats up. Try to change the levels on the layer of TV; Matt shadows and the horizon line remain the same, then the TV adjusts as expected.

    http://www.sendspace.com/file/u38sdr

    What happens here?

    Edit: Photoshop CS5 x 32 / x 64

There is no "mess."  The horizon on the ground have been reported as something superior perfectly transparent using any process used to create the image.  Either you need to return back to the original rendering process to change that, or you pouvez adjust as a layer mask...

Choose layer - layer mask - transparency.

Then you can do at the edge of the black mask - for example, with the tool burn shadows - the value to make them transparent.
