I can boot from micosd on 2 8 black?

Hello

I want to spend my recovery partition to a usb or microsd cable in order to free up space on my 2 8 black. I can do on my 8 GB microsd? I'll be able to boot from it in the future, or should it be on a USB?

I have not tried it myself, but I'm confident, you can:

  1. Copy or move the recovery on microSD 8 GB partition.
  2. Start from a microSD card.

Some manufacturers bundle same recovery exclusively on the microSD card for not not valuable internal storage of waste on this device.

To check the real start menu options:

  1. Stop your Miix2.
  2. Press flight + / power to access the start menu.

Alternatively, you can go a little further and MEM full backup storage (set partition layout, uefi, OS, data, recovery, all) using Macrium Reflect utility bootable. So it's a PE Win81 derivate touchscreen and mem drive are supported out of box. Easy. You should be > = 20 GB flashdrive or microSD to store the complete image.

    Hello

A friend told Tecra A10 and he said that he of a notebook of big business, it seems, he is very satisfied with this laptop. :)

I asked him about the startup eSATA option and he told me that it of not possible to start from eSATA, but you can boot from a USB storage device. I put t know why you want to start from eSATA, but if you want to boot from your external HARD drive you can connect via the USB port for example. It should work.

Furthermore, system dual-boot (for example, XP and Vista) is also possible and you n t need a external HARD drive or second for that.

  • Satellite A200 - I can boot from PCI express card?

    I have a laptop A200.

I recently bought a PCI expresscard HD. Many people have asked this question already on many sites and regarding several different brands and models of laptops. According to anadtech and other techys the only way to do an ExpressCard hd is updated the BIOS. During the installation of Windows it says that it canoe on the device because the BIOS is not able to boot from it.

Toshiba creates a new BIOS to allow starting the expresscard hd or not Toshiba have a laptop model that will allow already, as im thinking of buying a new laptop but only if this option is available.

There someone using windows vista/xp knows a way round.

    Hello

As far as I know it s not possible to boot from PCI express card on Satellite A200.
In addition these books where you can boot from this slot are not known to me. Only the options HDD, CD/DVD, USB and network, but all that s.

In addition, I put t know what you mean with PCI expresscard HD.
    Is what exactly?

  • Satellite L40-139 can boot from a USB device?

    Hello

I have a new L40-139. Looking through the BIOS I can't find an option to boot from a device USB like a USB HDD or USB flash drive. Could someone confirm if the L40-139 can boot from USB and is thus the configuration of the BIOS for this.

If she can not someone knows if there are plans for a BIOS update that would allow this?

I must admit that, although I love the L40, I am disappointed how to limit the BIOS is.

    Thank you

None of this is really a problem Windows/Microsoft.

A1: Ask Dell and/or consult the specifications of Dell web/FAQ pages.

A2: The BIOS is not related to the operating system you have.  Turn off the computer, turn on the computer and immediately start typing F2.

  • My iMac can boot from an external drive?

    Hello

I have an iMac 21.5 "Mid 2010 which starts to show its age with slowness. However, I plan to upgrade the Basic 4 GB of Ram either 8 GB or 16 GB of Ram, depending on price... and my main question.  I know that the Mac came initially with a 500 GB hard drive and I would also like to upgrade to an SSD because they make a world of difference from what I've heard, but I don't have the level of skill tech to do the steps together 20-30. I wonder, as I have a 1 TB USB SSD externally, if I could install a new version of Mac OS X on the SSD USB and then set it as my boot drive and just keep still plugged. Would this work or startup disk must be internal rather than external via USB?

Your iMac can be set to boot from an external drive. Just install OS X on the SSD and SSD drive as your boot disk in System-> startup disk Preferences.

    Hello

    Try to install MBR mode.

    1. first create the bootable operating system

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

    2. make sure that disable the "SecureBoot" in BIOS and also enable support "Roop". Probably, you will find them in the "Startup" tab If I remember correctly, "SecureBoot State" and "Boot Mode" are the parameters to change.

    3. turn on your laptop and press F12 during the logo Dell window appears and select your USB drive bootable

    4. He will lead the new copy of your new operating system.

  • G50-45 - it can boot from USB 3.0?

    Hello

I want to buy a compact USB to allow me to start my computer to Linux when necessary. Obviously, USB 3.0 will be faster, but I don't know if USB 3.0 is bootable with this laptop. I have version 1.07 of 'Insyde H20' BIOS (even if it also says Rev. 3.7 - don't know which version this is why he - 1.07/3.7?)

Anyway - does anyone know if it is bootable USB 3.0? Google no did not help me this time.

    Thank you.

USB 3 is backward compatible with USB 2, so everything that boots from USB should be good. I've not seen anyone suggesting the contrary, and my G580 USB boots all the time.

Check your BIOS make sure that USB boot is enabled, Secure Boot is disabled. Try to start (boot order ether), or manual selection of the startup list.

  • After a breakaway of electric failure does not start, or I can boot from the cd that the drivers won't load

I get the logo and the system beep.  Seems to hang for about 2 minutes then tricking black screen reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.  When I insert the dvd-rom supplied with the pc recovery, it takes about 4 minutes for so-called load windows and off to install windows for me.  No matter what I select, I'm only able to download the drivers that may be defective and then find and I can retry or cancel.  If I try again once I get the same cycle but I can't get into windows, nor can I access any of the disk recovery tools.  I can't enter the Bios or any other file.  I tried power market and stop and start cold without result.  The pc was in hibernation because of non-use, but had been shut down when the crash occurred.  It is on a surge protector.  I could really use some help and appreciate suggestions - I'm a little computer but certainly not a tech guru.   Thanks for any help.

    Hello

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

    ·         What exactly happens when you turn on the computer?

    ·         You get the error message?

If you are not able to boot in the BIOS there is a problem with the hardware. I suggest you contact the computer hardware manufacturing for this problem.

The partition should probably show with Fat32.
