BOUGHT AND INSTALLED windows 8 NEW ACER a few weeks ago and now have decided to return the ACER. What should I do to get windows 8 transferred to a new pc? can I "return" windows 8?
thxs for any help
You must first remove Windows 8 on the computer by restoring it to its factory State. This will allow you to transfer the license to another computer and reactivate over the telephone:
New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.
This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...
For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo
------------------
Continue to install 8 Windows on the new computer and reactivate by phone if necessary:
1. press the Windows key + X , and then click run, and then type: slui.exe 4
2. then press the ENTER"" key.
3. Select your "country" in the list.
4. choose the option "activate phone".
5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

Looks like you ended up with a corrupted sndvol32.exe on your computer. This requires usually restore it from your disk system recovery or a recovery hard disk volume. He will have to type a few commands in the command line. Follow the detailed tutorial here to solve the problem of the Windows Volume control program is not installed.
Some specific command line steps that require you to know exactly which drive is your recovery partition, then you won't be able to copy and paste the article orders, but the steps will get you to the solution. -

Don't get any sound on my external speakers. It tells me that I have "no audio device".
Check Device Manager to see if you need an updated sound card driver. Click Start and then right-click my computer, and then click Properties. Click on Device Manager. Look down the line of audio, video and game controllers, and see if there is a point of exclamation or question marks there. If there is, you will nee to download and install the drivers from Dell.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Toshiba
Windows Vista
No 'audio, video controller, game' on Device ManagerIt seems that your audio driver is corrupted or does not.
In this case, you need to reinstall your audio drivers...
If you have a drivers and utility of your computer CD that you insert and reinstall your audio drivers... Otherwise, you will need to download it from Toshiba Web site... Contact Toshiba for the same Support,
