I can recover places.sqlite browsing history - wal?
My sessions and browsing history had been deleted by a registry tool. I used Recuva to find places.sqlite and sessionstore.bak but only found places.sqlite - wal that looks like it contains my ancient history. Is it possible that I can return the history of this file?
You may not use this file places.sqlite - wal (Write-Ahead Logging) to retrieve data.
Recovery places.sqlite can also not bring history if you have used this profile with Firefox.

How can I move my browser history of my old PC to my new PC?
I have an old XP machine and just built a new machine of windows 7. I need to move my story on the new PC information. I found the instructions to move my favorites, but not for moving my browsing history. I rely on my history to find a good number of the sites that I visit regularly rather than clogging up my system with more bookmarks and icons.
How can I record my story and get it on my new machine. I have and external HD and CD I can use for this.
You might also be able to tell Firefox Sync and synchronize two computers on the same account. Then the history (like bookmarks and addons) can be synced to the new system. Learn more here.

How can I clear the browser history
the browser history is cluttered with attempts to find mforation over several days. I want this clesr off.
Hello
There are two Add-ons you can use with Firefox Mobile to clear your history (Cleary and erase the historical Mobile).
If you press the menu button on the device and select Add-ons, you can search for and install an add-on. Then click on Preferences in the menu and scroll to the bottom to see the button clear history.
Here is an article with step by step and screenshots for tablets (the steps are the same for a mobile phone, except that the menu button that you use is the one on your phone).

How can I delete the browsing history but keep bank account numbers etc.
My financial institution recommends to delete my browsing history after that I have signed. I can do this without removing the bank account numbers etc. I don't understand the descriptions of cache, cookies, etc.
I guess you want to keep your cookies but not your history. You can select what is removed when you close Firefox in Options > privacy > select "use the custom settings for history". Once you have finished, click on 'Settings' in front "Clear history of Firefox closing" and uncheck the box 'Cookies' and 'Site Préférences'.

who can access my private browsing history?
I was on a web page and I've been on the incognito for some reason any and now I can't access it of course. So I was wondering who would also have access to this story, if I had access to the story that I would be able to access the web page, on which I was. If someone know about this, I would be grateful thanks.
If you have used navigation private and then closed this window or tab, these data are lost forever. There is no way to recover it.

How can I clear the browser history when you use the custom settings for history?
When my history option is set to "Use the custom settings for history", the options page has no link to "clear recent history". There was formerly a menu option, but that seems to be gone now with Firefox 29. Is my only option to access the dialog box, clear the history all to change the historical option to history to remember and then change it back? Is there another way to access the option erase history all?
I think you can get the menu bar by pressing the ALT key. If you want to return permanently, click View > toolbars and check menu bar.

How can I save my browser history, with dates and times included?
I need save my history of the browser with the date and hours included. I tried to do the backup, but it saves to a JSON file and I do not know how to open that. Copy and paste into Notepad do not record the dates and times.
Firefox is not a way to export the history to a text file. JSON in the bookmarkbackups folder backups store only bookmarks and not history.

So yes, an idea? You did to be sure to remove all the other files in places?
You can consult the database places.sqlite with this extension:
Try to use the SQLite Manager extension in Firefox to inspect the database places.sqlite file.

Thank you.
It's not bad.
These files are all in the same Firefox profile folder?
They have the name of places.sqlite or is there something added?
You only need one of them and this is the file that Firefox currently uses to store the history and bookmarks.
You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

Hello, I'm trying to transfer bookmarks from firefox 8 using the profile of appdata windows 7 for firefox. Everything I read says that there should be a places.sqlite in mozilla profile directory, but only records I see are "cache", "offlinecache", "startupcache" and the file "urlclassifier3.sqlite. I have bookmarks in my firefox application, so where is this info stored?
If you see "cache", "offlinecache" etc, then you are looking to the wrong directories. You're looking under AppData\local, but bookmarks are under AppData\Roaming. It is for me on Win Vista:
AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default -
I had to reinstall Windows. How can I find/see my browsing history?
Firefox constantly broke when he visited the sites (and Pale Moon, but not Chrome/Opera), so I took the decision to re - install Windows to a State of charge. Of course, I can now use Firefox again, but all my browsing history is passed. All the old Windows files and variables were stored in a Windows.old folder, but I can't yet find the story. Is it possible to re - install the story or at least see?
I know details that are stored in the places.sqlite file, which I have found, but I am at a loss of what to do next.
You can find the old profile in the folder windows.old and that switch to your new profile of recovery of data from an old profile
Since you have re-installed, it's a good time to make sure that you configure your computer to run solidly in the future:
- Install a Windows Update (including service packs, recommended updates, etc.). Run it a few times to make sure that you get all updates.
- Update your plugins https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/
- Install the latest graphics driver, update your drivers graphics to use hardware acceleration and WebGL
- Updated Firefox (version you are using is obsolete) Update Firefox to the latest version
- Make sure that you install an anti-virus, I suggest Microsoft Security Essentials, http://windows.microsoft.com/windows/security-essentials-download
