  You have not been hacked.  Looks that you have installed the malware or adware programs on your hard drive, and it is at the origin of the result of your search be redirected to Yahoo.  You have two options to remove:

  • Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware for Mac.  It was developed by an employee trust and respected here.  It is a simple and non-intrusive program that removes malware known/adware from your hard drive.  That's all that.  It does nothing and is not take anything else.  Unlike the antiviruss protection programs, it does not work in the background of your computer, using the resources and also unlike anti-virus programs (which are not necessary on Macs), it is not actively prevent malware infections or adware.  Its only purpose is to remove them.
  • Restart your computer.  As of April 26, 2016, changes to the support article here-> stop the cAds in Safari - Apple charge El Capitan State removes adware when you connect, but only when connecting.  So, if you do not want to use Malwarebytes, it's another option for you.

  Download, install, update and perform complete system analysis with:

  • MalwareBytes (FREE)
  • SuperAntiSpyware (FREE)

  Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

  Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

  
  Change all of your passwords online.

  Do using something COMPLETELY new (not a derivative of your password (s)) current and strong (I recommend 15 + characters using a combination of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols).

  Come with a sentence or as much as you need and that it is a password change.  Examples:

  • I really hate the new passwords! --> Ir3allyHATEnewpwds!
  • You'll never guess this one--> U'lln3v3rgu3ssthis1

  Don't say not 100% will fix you, but it help you clean (in order - it will help to ensure that you are not infested/infected now * and * then it will change your passwords online, in case someone has and uses them to send and use your stuff 'in your name'.)

  "To continue or not to continue the reinstallation of the Toshibas enigma -" Toshiba bluetooth stack "-on a Windows 7 Pro upgrade Vista Pro.

  After a clean install, I lost my beautiful environment of Bluetooth on my laptop Sony vgn-bx51-vn in 2005 (a laptop that is like finding teeth of chicken on the Sony site).  I did a smart thing to keep the "Toshiba" Bluetooth file when I finally removed the windows.old folder after the re-installation.  Only smart because it allowed me to compare models with a pilot of 'original' newly downloaded and files utility (including msi files) Sony - the result was that there are a lot of files that is different.

  They newly installed drivers grumble horribly subject knowing incompatabilities with Win 7 (which is just a skin on top of Vista... or so I thought) and refuse to carry you.  They subsequently take you to Toshiba where you end by abandon the search for any useful help in spite of being a good faith user - no?

  Cut to the Chase.  Can someone please help to get the drivers/utilities on my Sony notebook by hook or crook.  NB. I hope just to aspire to the use of Bluetooth for something useful someday but am also irritated by the cul-de-sac which is software policy.
