I can't do a conditional action with several decisions work

I use 6 Captivate:

Here is an example:

The slide contains 2 objects - one is a button and the other is a graphic, seller.

Entering the slide, a variable, v_button, is set to 0, and seller is hidden.

I enclose a conditional action for the button to allow the user to click several times to show or hide the image.

This conditional action works:

IF:

v_button is equal to 0

ACTIONS:

Show vendor

Assign the v_button with 1

ANOTHER THING:

Hide the seller

Assign the v_button with 0

-------------------------------------------------------------

This conditional action does not work:

Decision 1:

IF:

v_button is equal to 0

ACTIONS:

Show vendor

Assign the v_button with 1

Decision 2:

IF:

v_button is equal to 1

ACTIONS:

Hide the seller

Assign the v_button with 0

What I am doing wrong?  I need to use many decisions because my real case requires 3 decisions.

Thank you very much for your advice.  Never, I realized that I could layer smart buttons.  With your help, I solved the problem:

I created 4 smart buttons, with the 2 green smart buttons on top 2 Brown buttons and attached a standard action to each of them:

Button1On: (related to the Brown button 1)

Hide

Show

Audio triggered stop

Play the Audio

Button1Off: (attached to the green button 1)

Hide

Audio triggered stop

Button2On: (related to the Brown button 2)

Hide

Show

Audio triggered stop

Play the Audio

Button2Off: (attached to the green button 2)

Hide

Audio triggered stop

  • How can I add in conditional Actions?

    I have a page in my e-Learning courses, whenever the user can click on six images (in any order). Each image, they click on that their will be a separate page where it's going more in depth on the image. Is there a button to return back to the original slide. I managed to accomplish this manufacturing each gray Tower of image once it's been clicked on, but I also want that there is a button that appears ONLY after that that they clicked on all 6 images. I can't get this to work? Any ideas?

    You have enabled "Any of the true conditions" instead of "true conditions." All variables have the value 1, not only a 4. You need a combination AND as I explained in the blog post.

    More: Please group objects: all your text (purple, blue, yellow...) in a group, then you need only one statement of Hide, followed the show.

    Hide Gr_Text has all the... Text objects

    See the PurpleText

    See the PurpleInfo because I know not why, they are identified differently

    You use CP8, joint actions would be a better idea. It allows to save not only time, but also the file size.

  • Conditional display with several conditions of PL/SQL

    Hi guys,.

    I want my chart to conditionally display 2 points, 1. a selection list is not null (TO_CHAR(:P7_DB_LIST)! = TO_CHAR (666)) and 2. the maximum value in a query is above a certain amount such as 2000. The idea is that I currently have a graphical display in MB. 40 000 MB is not something big to see so after a certain point, I want to display a graph in GB instead. So I want 2 graph both depends on the LOV is not null, but who need the value of the query less than 2000 and the upper.

    I don't know if its possible to have two parolees working together in one conditional display of the APEX (PL/SQL Expression)?

    Mike,

    Laughing out loud! Welcome to PL/SQL ;)

    Packages are not very difficult to get, but perhaps we should start over with a stored function a package... Here's the gist:

    CREATE OR REPLACE
    FUNCTION size_is_valid (
       p_svc_app      IN VARCHAR2,
       p_svc_app_name IN VARCHAR2
    )

       RETURN BOOLEAN

    AS

       CURSOR max_size_cur
       IS
          SELECT max(size_mb) AS size_mb
          FROM [email protected]
          WHERE svc_app_name = size_is_valid.p_svc_app_name
             AND svc_name = size_is_valid.p_svc_app;

       l_max_size_rec MAX_SIZE_CUR%ROWTYPE;
       l_retval       BOOLEAN;

    BEGIN

       OPEN max_size_cur;
       FETCH max_size_cur INTO l_max_size_rec;
       CLOSE max_size_cur;

       l_retval := l_max_size_rec.size_mb > 500;

       RETURN l_retval;

    END size_is_valid;

    Then your new validation of test should be:

    BEGIN

       RETURN size_is_valid(:P7_DB_LIST, :P7_PROJ_LIST);

    END;

  • I can bring together two PDF files with several odd/even pages?

    I'm I scans a document which is double and my scanner will only do one side at a time.  So I find myself with two documents with 30 pages each.  One is the odd pages and the other is the pair.  Looking for a way to combine these two documents in one alone without having to manually rearrange the pages after combining them.  Help?

    You will need Adobe Acrobat Pro, or another PDF Editor that allows you to manually rearrange tiles. Pages of course will do that, because it is not a PDF Editor.

  • Setting a conditional Action for pre-test questions: skip content slides

    OK boys and girls, let's see if this is even possible in a course of SCO, or if this solution multi-SCO (which means I'm toast, because we do not have the multi-SCO aggregator)?

    I want to implement a prescriptive pre-test. In my ideal world, the answers to each individual question would either enable or disable the content related to the question slides. If the user passes the pre-test, they might opt to skip the prescriptive stuff and complete the course. If the user fails the pre-test, they should consult the active content.

    Is it still possible in a unique world of SCO?

    Justenuf

    Will try to explain how I would try to handle this use case, but I didn't try it!

    • For the first condition, you already have a system variable which can be used in conditional actions to check if the user has passed the pre-test. If you use ordinary question slides, cpQuizInfoPassFail will be set to 1 if it is adopted, the value 0 as var is full only after the last slide in the question. If you use slides before the test, you will need to create a variable user, which you can fill with a tip action, based on the value of cpQuizIntoPretestPointsscored or cpQuizInfoPretestScorePercentage.
    • To follow the questions they did correctly, you must create a variable user for each slide of the issue, default = 0. Based on the system variable cpQuizInfoLastSlidePointScored, which is completed after each slide of the question, you can switch the variable user of the slide of the previous to 1 question if this sys var is greater than 0. This can be done by an action at the entrance to each slide of the question. You will need such action on enter also immediately after the last question slide (maybe on a blade of results, where you can also put the appropriate button to switch the content slides, or offer the possibility to go back).
    • For each slide content you will need another (conditionala tip enter action. Condtion will check the value of cpQuizInfoPassFail (or the equivalent for the slides before the test) AND the value of the var related to this question slide. If both are positive, ignore the slide (go to the next slide), if not, just stay on the slide. That action will be the same for all the slides in content related to a question. But another question, you will need a duplicate, because another user variable will be there. If you use CP7, this is an excellent example for joint actions.

    Hope this helps a bit, sorry that I am so busy.

  • Help conditional Action.

    Ok.. so I found a video on creating a conditional action on ADOBE TV... Excellent. However when I get to the part where I apply it to a button I encounter THIS problem.

    wtf.jpg

    ADOBE TV video is on the left... my screen on the right. As you can see, it applys the conditional action to the button using the 'ACTION' of the object properties section, but when I look for the same 'ACTIONS' menu in my CP7, apparently does not exist.

    More Grrrrr...

    Same question: How can I request a conditional action to an object such as a button... If I insert an object "button... How I bind it to a text field?

    PS. I tried with just a 'button', but that didn't work either.

    You can find the settings for captions to show lower in the properties panel, under 'Options '. (Assuming that Captivate 7 has the same general layout than previous versions.)

  • Several instructions if in conditional actions?

    Hello

    I have a single button on a slide.  Whenever the user clicks on it, a legend of additional text should be.  My original idea was to hide all captions, create a variable to keep track of how many times the user has clicked the button and when the button was clicked, check to see how many times it has been clicked and present the appropriate caption.  This approach would require multiple if statements because according to many times the button has been clicked, a different legend would have shown.

    After my research is preliminary, it was not possible in 2012.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    You cannot nest the IF, but you can achieve this with several decisions. You do not have to nest IF s to achieve this goal, although having a function BOX would make it easier (you can do that with JS). Here is a much simpler application with advanced actions:

  • Conditional action does not not at the exit slide

    Captivate 5.0 - q: non-critical

    I just got a conditional action which did not work if I he attributed to on drag the output, but it does not work if I assign it to a button.

    The tip action was a conditional action:

    If: variable = yes

    Then:

    new variable set

    go to slide 50

    On the other

    Go to the next slide

    It was weird.  It only works if I assigned to a button.

    This happened to someone else?

    Micky

    Hello

    When we talk about advanced actions let you always only to use the "On Exit" event when you know that the reading head will reach the last image of a slide, which is certainly not always the case. Please check if you don't have a button or other interactive object on this slide that will prevent default action of navigation on ways to an object that navigation will be the scope of the suspension point of this object, and that the playhead has never reached the last image. The fact that you mention this tip action is functional from a button, confirms in a way my suspicion.

    All logic seems in tact for me however I click on each of my boxes and all conditions must be true, but will not display game bar...

    Note: I also tried to show a next button and just show the things randomly with the same logic and it just will not work... What am I doing wrong?

    Something escapes me in your question: How do trigger you the conditional action? I suspect that he is never executed, but may be wrong of course.

    I created a small example to check: slide contains 3 buttons that trigger an action condtional with two decisions. The first decision is a simulated standard measure (condition 1 = 1 is always correct) assigns the value 1 to the variable corresponding user and displays a caption text, that was initially hidden. This is a screenshot of this first decision Stand for the first Bt_One action to be triggered by the first button:

    The second decision Check is the action of condtional real, very similar to yours. This will be done after the first decision:

    Create a duplicate of this action for the other two buttons, you only have to edit the first decision where the user variable needs to be changed.

    In my example, when you click the last button (regardless of the sequence) all the text captions should have been disclosed (I na not hide others, but you can do the same of course) and the second decision check will result in a positive response, so the playback bar appears immediately.

  • How can I get the action to hide the table of contents to work as part of a conditional Action?

    GOAL: when a user takes the Quiz and fails, I wish they were able to get back underway and reviewing the materials before taking the quiz. As noted in other discussions, I have created actions advanced conditional and standard to achieve this:

    • Quiz results Slide Property executes the standard action "ResultsSlideVisitedAction", affecting a variable (AssessmentVisited) to 1, an indicator that the result slide has been visited.

    ResultsSlideVisited.PNG

    • If a user clicks the Retake Quiz button, instead of going to a "knowledge management", a quiz question classified early in the race with zero points, it goes to the first real quiz question. The slide to check knowledge runs the 'ExcludeKCAction', a conditional, looking to see if the result slide has been visited, which means that the quiz taken. If so, he jumps at the 1st question of the quiz slide.

    KCExclude.PNG

    • I changed my Quiz message fail to tell the user to click the button Retake (which works fine) or navigate using the table of contents to review topics and then resume the quiz. The problem with this is that if a user uses the table of contents and gets to go to the slide to verify the knowledge to conditional action, they are sent directly to the Quiz.
    • So, I took a different tact and decided to ask the user to use a "Back in the race" button to review the course and then resume the quiz. Because you cannot add buttons to the slide of results, I created an invisible button to reset the AssessmentVisited variable to 0, so when the GET to the verification of knowledge, they are not sent for the quiz. I did this by adding the image on a button, and then by superimposing an invisible rectangular shape on top of the button image. This allowed me to add advanced invisible form actions. It worked!
    • The last thing I want to do is to hide the table of contents, so there is no chance of the user to return without resetting the variable. I tried to add the action to hide the table of contents, but it doesn't seem to work. Is this possible?  I tried to move the TOC to hide as actions of 1st, 2nd and 3rd and sill does not. Here is a screenshot of the conditional action that runs when a user clicks on my return to the button a course:
    • ReturnToCourseCondition.PNG

    I appreciate any thoughts on a solution to hide the table of contents as well. Thank you.

    Hide the TOC works only for OCD in overlay, you use a table of contents separate?

    With respect to the Score slide buttons, you make it very complex, it is possible since version 6: buttons on Question/Score 6 Captivate Slides?-Captivate blog

  • can perform us two actions with a single button in two clicks, one after the other?

    Mr President.

    can perform us two actions with a single button in two clicks, one after the other?

    I want that when I click on the button Add once it add data to the database and when I click again on this button it clears the form data to the empty fields.

    Concerning

    Tanvir

    In the code, it should be easy.

    The following code adds that a button called butman with text 'ADD '.
    It then registers a listener that will be called if the user clicks the button.

    This listener then calls the runAddData method if you clicked butman while it contained the text of "ADD" and it calls the runClearData method otherwise.
    That's why he will swap the functionality of the button between ADD and CLEAR on each click.

    final Button butman = new Button("ADD");
    butman.setOnAction(new EventHandler() {
              @Override
              public void handle(ActionEvent t) {
                        if (butman.getText().equals("ADD")) {
                                  butman.setText("CLEAR");
                                  runAddData();
                        } else {
                                  butman.setText("ADD");
                                  runClearData();
                        } // END IF-THEN
              }});

    I hope that's what you wanted.

    Further reflection.
    You might want to run the ADD and CLEAR methods in their own son so that it can run in the background without slowing down your user interface.

    I also reuse rather a single button for several features instead of to apply with hundreds of nodes used only rarely with masses of code to show and hide as needed.
