  Except if you have really tightened down on the security of your router, adding another computer should be a simple to plug it.  In any case, most routers can be reset by default (including the password) by pressing the button of reset for about 10 seconds.  As you do not have the brand or the model of router in your post, all I can recommend is for more specific information, you should go to your router manufacturer's website and download the manual for your make and model of router and follow the instructions.

  You upgrade to Windows Vista or Windows 7?

  You can get your username by going to C:\Users\ and find your user name under Windows Vista and C:\Documents and Settings\ for Windows XP.

  We are unable to provide assistance with respect to the recovery of a password.

  If you are able to connect to your machine and have administrator rights, you can then change your password by clicking on start, right-click on computer and choose manage. Open the users section and groups, then users, right click on your account and choose set password.

  If you or someone else have not changed the settings on your router to the network should be open by default.  But if one changed settings top then you will need to request this password to this person that they gave him.
  If you can't find someone who knows the password, follow the instructions below:

  Take a small paper clip or pen (although it either with a hint will do) and activate the reset button tiny on your router.
  Once reset look on the default router login information.
  Now, you need get on your computer.

  Hello. OK, here's the situation... I have an admin account and an account on my laptop, but I do not know the password for the account admin (long story). Is there anyway I can remove the password, create another admin account or restore the system, or whatever it is to solve the problem? I don't have the recovery disks. Ideally, I want to keep my files, but if this is not possible so I don't have much choice. Help, please! Thanks in advance
