  I discovered a range of 'missing' in a certain folder jpg photos.  (I made sure that I had selected "Show hidden files" where they got the tag as hidden inadvertently).

  I checked my trash to confirm that they had not been removed.  I don't see them in there.

  I then went to my backup (carbonite) software to restore the missing files.  However, when I did, he asked me if I wanted to replace the file "disappeared" with the restored file.  In other words, he was saying that the file is still there - even if I can't see it / find.

  This is because the search is limited to the OOB root category.
  If you have created your new store, and then point the RootCategoryConstraint.properties to the category root of your new store.
  Change value = rootCategory to your root category.
  This should solve your problem.

  I'll try to give my comment: If you use recovery media supplied and install the OS (Windows XP Home) on this way you don't need product key. If you are using original Microsoft installations CD given by the laptop product key help at all because this key number belongs to the recovery image.

• Can't find the model #, product # or # of series after the bios update.

  After a warning about the HP Wizard update the bios, I went to the Download Center HP and put to update the bios for my computer to HP Envy TouchSmart.  The update seems to be okay, but now the product number, model # and serial number are missing. These lines, after pressing CTRL, alt, s are empty. They do not appear on tune.  There are labels on the bottom of the stand, but this information does not appear.  The control center is also missing.  How can I retrieve this information?  Does anyone know if there are tags hidden on this 23 envy all-in-one?

  My problem is very simple, but I can't for the life of understand me.

  I have a Windows 8 PC and a tablet of Surface RT, they are both connected to the same network but I can't connect to the home group. I am not able to see computers, when I click on networks so connected devices.

  When I disable the security of password of my router, everything seems to work properly. I don't want to leave my network available to everyone however. so as soon as I put a password on my router now I can't pick up devices and home group. I tried to change my network advanced setting but who just so used to work. I don't know what there is to do.

  This is for both of my devices, I don't want to leave my router without protection. Is there a way to fix this?

  I think I found the answer to the problem. I went to HomeGroup settings on my PC and on my Surface and I checked everything on making default setting the private setting may be available on the network.

  After that, I went to make sure that the firewall on my computer has been set to its default value. Then I went to check my firewall antivirus (BitDefender) and noticed that the network was listed in public, that's why I could not pick up other computers.

  So I checked the network in order to be under this judgment in Bitdefender and everything seems to work now. My surface to pick up the computer and the home group.

  Check your anti-virus firewall settings, perhaps that is the reason.
