  -reset the NVRAM - did not problem

  I created a project using elements of first. Then when I tried to open it PE8 says it can't open Premiere Pro projects because they are incompatible. This project is empty and was created using a few seconds before Premiere Elements. I didn't yet own Premiere Pro! Please help as I can't create all new projects! (P.S.   The Vista installation disc is a DVD. Apparently, you don't have a DVD player. You would need to purchase/install a DVD-ROM or DVD - RW to install Vista. Are you sure that your hardware supports Vista before doing this?
