  The path contains a backslash. If so, change it.   It would be useful to show the way you want to import from.  You can try to modify the handling setting in the preferences for the second parameter where the backslash is considered to be illegal and is replaced.  Its probably best to simply not use these characters in any case.

  You don't re - import photos into Lightroom. There is no need to do it and it would only cause problems.

  For those photos that you can not import, you can just find them in the library Module and continue to use (if you want to export again in different settings, then you export from the existing photo in the library module)

  I came to the top with a hack myself that works pretty well, post here for all the world to see.

  I import all the images, I can drag the mouse to select all, right click > speed/duration and adjust there, have also the box "Ripple deleting" checked so that you don't have the gaps between.

  I exported 2267 images from Aperture to an external drive in an original format with original file names. I tried to import them into LR3.6 and she won't recognize about 1800 of them.  Files are made up of RAW and Jpg files and maybe a few Tiffs.   You have the preference to treat JPEG files next to raws as separate files audited?  If you do not, they will not be imported.

  You can download the photos to iCloud instead of from the iPhone.

  On your Mac, open the web interface for iCloud to www.icloud.com and connect you with the same AppleID you use on the iPhone to your iCloud photo library.  Open the Photos.app on this page and select the most recent photos in all photo album.

  You can select a range of photos at once by selecting a single photo, hold down the SHIFT key, selecting the last pictures.

  Then click on the download button.

I tried export library to a new library of many, many times only to have opening crash when I try to do.   The size of the exported library shouldn't matter, unless you are running out of storage.  I exported a partial library with 100000 photos without problem.

  What version of Aperture do you use? If it is opening 9.4.5 or an older version, disconnect from the Internet when you are working with Aperture. Older versions are currently crashing, if they can't access Google map servers.

  Could you please share the exact error message you get when importing, also post a screenshot of the import window.

Photoshop can open/read them very well, but when I sync the folder lightroom, lightroom is blocked (last lighroom-4 on windows 7).   Have you tried file > import of Photos and video, rather than synchronization?

  Did you test import in a new catalog?

  Adobe does not care about LR 4.  But you can try to download the free trial of 5 LR and see if it has the same problem.  (This will not affect your LR 4 catalogues).   If it doesn't have the same problem, then file a bug report in Adobe official website of feedback:
