Recently, I buy a Sony camera a6000. I am currently using 2.5 Lightroon. When I tried to load my raw files from a card reader to Lightroom, but failed as Lightroom could not read images. Can anyone help? Thank you, Eric
Upgrade, or -.
Convert raw DNG images using the Adobe DNG Converter program free of charge your Sony raw images. Then import the DNG versions in Lightroom.
"Adobe DNG Converter" is not part of Lightroom (or Photoshop), but a separate (standalone).
You "run" program, select the folder of images from Sony, select a folder for the output DNG files.

Could not copy a file at the location requested. Mac OS 10, Version 10.10 [1].
I JUST bought this new macbook pro and Lightroom installed, imported 2 lots of pictures, but all of a sudden he kept denying my imports with "could not read the file" or "couldn't copy file at the location requested. Help, please!
Your use of the word "files" (in the plural) still makes me believe that you have not checked the permissions on the folder that is appropriate (in the singular).
You must determine the Destination of the Lightroom Import dialog window Panel and see which folder Lightroom is really tr6ing to copy photos in (which may have been accidentally changed and is not what you may have used in the past) and change the permissions to write to this folder.

I have the demo version of LR. I imported the pictures that were on my hard drive. Now, I can't import more photos when I want to add new ones. I get a screen that says that some operations have not been performed. Could not copy the file to the location requested.
Help, please. I don't know what else to try.
If these images are already on your hard drive, you must use the Add option.
If they are on a USB key and you want to copy them to your hard drive during import, then the Destination you have select this option to copy them doesn't have the appropriate permissions for your user name. , Select a different Destination or change the permissions on the folder that you selected.

Hi could someone help me with this problem.
I tried to import pictures to destination Macintosh HD or my external hard drive but it continue to go out with the same message "could not copy a file at the location requested. (114) items 1-100: articles 101-114.
Interestingly, it was working fine up until yesterday.
I tried restarting computer, I have the latest version of lightroom, I use Mac Os x Yosemite 10.10.4
Thank you very much
Hi josepht,.
Looks like your destination folder does not have a full read and write permissions.
Try to set the destination as a specific folder that contains all the permissions on your local or external drive, then, check.
Kind regards

I can download more pictures from a SD card to Lightroom is. I can download pictures or Aperture but Lightroom CC gives me the error "the following files were not imported because they could be readable." and then it lists all the files on the disc. I shoot in Raw. I know it's a problem because I see the number of entries when I have the problem of google. What I don't see is Adobe recognizing the problem OR suggest a solution. It is a big problem since I have to find ways to get photos in Lightroom. Can you please tell me what I should do to get my pictures downloaded. I had no problem before subscribing to Adobe CC when I used 5 Lightroom.
A changes to privileges stick? Check the folder again. Should look like this - see image. Also check similar to the folder that you copy photos to.
