Impossible to disassemble the repair disc

Hey out there - I hope someone can help me with a solution to my problem!

My drive external DRIVE (WD MY Passport) decide to stop playing on the same team earlier today.

My Mac recognizes the drive, but won't let me access to his files directory - when you try to check the diskutil drive tells me it needs to be repaired, and in trying to fix it, diskutil says that it is impossible to disassemble the disc... > _ <

But when accessing the control through the recovery partition I can also check and repair and it will come just by saying "all is * A - OK... When you use the diskutil through the recovery partition I can even access to its files directory, and it shows me all the files without any problems...

If it becomes increasingly strange...

Y at - there someone out there who has an idea of what to do with it?

Best regards

Stop your Mac. Now start with the SHIFT key is pressed. This will start in Safe Mode, with all extensions turned off. Safe mode is slow to start, so give it time, it checks a lot of staff. If it works fine in Safe Mode, restart normally. If it works now, you are finished.

If the problem comes back after a reboot, you have an extension conflict. Disable all extensions via system preferences. To isolate which extension is at fault, turn on an extension at the same time, restart in the meantime, until you find the bad Apple.

I have narrowed my local disc D for 10 GB, because I wanted to extend my local C drive. After I shrunk D, I went to extend my C drive, and I could not extend it, it would mean that these 10 GB simply disappeared. In disk management, it is said that these 10 GB are still there, that is, its size is still normal, but when I open my computer it says that it is smaller than 10 GB, and it really is. • First AID (10.11): "impossible to turn up the volume for the repair, the operation failed."

    Hello everyone

I think I'm in trouble here...

After I did a clean install of 10.11 two weeks ago, my Mac Pro 3.1 (2008) began to take a long time to boot up to the desktop. The actual load of the operating system (with the progress bar) is fast, but it takes a while (minutes) to enter my password until the computer is accessible at the level of the office. I have almost nothing the autostart value in Sys Prefs users.

The startup disk is two SSDs over a Sonnet Tempo Pro and the folder of the user is on a separate HARD disk.

Because the slow pace is the point where to enter the password, I thought that there could be a problem with the folder of the user HARD drive. I had my user folder on a HDD separated for the last several iterations OS X without problem, but in the fall, I needed more space and bought two new 3 TB drives (one for the clone SuperDuper). They ran very well in the Mavericks.

When I run THE first AID on the volume that contains the folder of the user, I get the following error (it does not appear if I run first aid on the HARD drive itself):

"First aid process has failed. Save if possible data on this volume. "The details section of the dialog box reads:

"Update support partition for the volume to the need

Impossible to disassemble for repair volume

    Operation failed... »

Worrying, I get the same error if I run first aid on the volume of the other 3 TB drive that holds the user folder SuperDuper clone.

I suppose that the two new 3 TB drives may be failing at the same time, but it seems a bit unlikely. Does anyone have an idea of what other causes, there could be for these errors?

I would be very grateful for any help, as this is my main machine. Thank you in advance,

EDIT: I realize I should have posted this in the OS X El Cap - my apologies for this forum. Also, I find this recent thread that seems to suggest that there is a bug in Dug, I get the same errors when I run first aid on my other two internal drives.

    Philippe

BTW, I tried to start in safe mode, but that has not changed anything. Also, I created a test (with the record on the striped SSD) account. Representing loads very fast after that I entered the password.

    Thanks in advance again

It's too bad the toshiba put pregnant so bad! I know this is an entry-level laptop, but for the price, deserves to be something that sounded better than an alarm clock! SRS is a fraud and false advertising!

    Best regards

    Hello

Manual repair is not a public document, so you won't be able to find it for download. Generally for laptop must be disassembled by authorized personnel only. When you do that on your own you do it on your own risk, so do it with a lot of attention. Many smallholders plastic can be broken if you n t do it gently.

Speakers. This is another theme. As you probably know Toshiba offers a high-end with some models of laptops speakers. As far as I know for computer laptop series C or L have standard stereo speakers, and they are also relatively favourably.

If you use your laptop in the Office for daily activities, you can use external speakers.

  • Is the repair for the same WIndows7 disc for the PC?

the ERD for WIndows7 Home Premium is only about 300 MB, assuming that comes with Windows7 backup utilities. With 300 MB, there may be a large part of the OS with a value of software licenses, i.e. licensed OS software should assume in the separate image to be saved on a hard drive.

The content of the ERD are specific to my PC or the same for every PC? If the disk is fixed then Microsoft provide a downloadable copy for free?

HP also provides its own utility to create a disk repair and image. What are the differences? HP provides a downloadable repair disk for free?

    Hello

Windows recovery disc - these will be unique to your laptop and allows you to reinstall the whole operating system and bundled software.  There is no option available for this download, and under the terms of the OEM license, you can create only one set of these discs - for more details, see here.

Windows 7 repair disc - it is generic and will be the same no matter what Windows 7 PC, you create, the only difference is either 32-bit and 64-bit.  We can consider a good guide on what this drive is to here.  The most important difference between the recovery disks and a hot spare is only recovery disks will allow you to reinstall the operating system, it is important to create these.

As far as I know, there isn't a picture of rescue disc available for download from Microsoft or HP - but if you have already created a repair disc, most of the CD/DVD software burning allows you to create an Image file (.) ISO) disc.  For example, if you have used ImgBurn, there is a guide here.

You probably already have the software to create a disk image that was provided with your PC.

  • used sytem repair from the installation disc difficult or too complicated?

do you know if the repair system hard to use from reinstalling vista irunning disk?  without any reason after windows drivres dell download does not start, it is just there to take all this time and if I'm lucky it will start, I used the configuration of the system, and that did not help. I know, it seems that he is sssoooo nearly all set to start at the same time, but in the system and the process where it lists everything that I don't know what is what, so I can't stop the useless stuff to start, I thing I have too many things that either doesn't work - I don't have not even half uninstalled or put in the easy computer were and if it's the dell drivers , screwing, then why vista does not work?

Dell has a touch screen F12 on boot options, but vista says to put in disk, press on restart and then repair, but what happens if I can't do it at the start or the dvd - rom does not start when I reboot?

and if it doesn't it's really complicated? I ran disk cleanup and repair. I ran to check memory, I had 140 GB free out of 240 GB, I ran two restorations system back to dates before I installed the drivers from dell, everything worked fine until last night, now dell takes to always to get to the windows startup takes part and windows to start even in safe mode.

I ran all the controls sytem dell pc and everything passes .so should I put the disc and hit restart? and should I first go to where he gives the choice to load some stuff or normally loads at startup, and which one should I use all or just selective to go until I reboot. Thanks for any help you can offer, because it runs now I don't even want to turn it off.

    Hello

    You receive an error message?

    Method 1:

You must restart your computer using the installation disc. If you do not restart your computer from the disk, the option to repair your computer will not appear.

If you have a Windows installation disc, you can follow the procedure:

    a. Insert the installation disc.

    b. restart your computer.

    c. click on the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

    d. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.

Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings.

    e. Select your language settings and then click Next.

    f. click on repair your computer.

    g. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

    h. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair can invite you to make choices as it tries to solve the problem and, if necessary, it may restart your computer, because it makes the repairs.

    WARNING OF THE BIOS:
Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Method 2:
You can see startup Repair in Windows Vista, which is a recovery tool that can fix certain problems. You can check the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-Vista

    Method 3:
You can check the event viewer for related event logs.
