I can't install PS CS6 without Associations?

Hello

I just received CS6 PS week last as a birthday gift from my son.  I have a HP Pavilion laptop, with Windows 7 as OS.  I installed on this laptop of 7 elements.  Before installing CS6, I would like to know the Associations...  So, I have a few questions...

1 - when I install the program, can I do it without Associations? I wish I could continue to use my Windows open all my photos.

2. do I use the bridge thingy to be able to use my PS Editor?

3. it's ok to have 7 items and CS6 in a laptop?

4 - how many computers can you install the CS6 in?  I have 2 laptops more and I think to make another.

Thanks for your kind help!

Best regards

Hi all, I have an update of the problem of PSE PSD vs above...

Yesterday (19/09/12), I had a very pleasant surprise.  Received a call from one of the Adobe people who wanted to know if I still had the problem with Photoshop and he said that we could connect via the remote view.  Of course, I said yes.

Long story short... I had a remote control / Chat session with the same person from Adobe who helped me a couple of days.  He was really kind and patient with me so that he explained how the PS and PSE working formats.  He explained that, even if PS and PSE programs can be on the same computer, the files can be saved in a format - PS or PSE.  I started to feel like there is still hope for me...

It has been great!  He showed me how to create a file on the EPS, and then open it in PS and all my stuff was there! layers, textures, etc. and vice versa.  I practiced breefly, creating a small piece in elements as he watched to make sure I understood what he showed me.  Then, I opened it in PS and it ended up, without problem!    So, I am again happy camper!  I understand better now.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who shared your comments and suggestions, I really appreciate it.  I may have to come back with questions, but I know that there are friendly here and very bright, intelligent people who are always willing to help.  Thank you once again!

All the best,

Amada
