I can't open certain web links

I can open some websites at one point, but no other links. Food52 opens but won't link to revenue. The library web opens but not the link to download books. I called Time Warner, and they couldn't help.

Hi Mary,

Have you tried the same Web sites with different browsers?

Try steps below to resolve this issue, if you use Internet Explorer only.

  • I can't open the web development tools

I can't open the web developer tools tab in the firefox menu and the text is bold

This happens with all the tools in this menu?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe or make changes.

All of my icon are icons of java.  When I click, a back short style window appears, then disappears. I can not open files or links. What is the simple solution? This CHANGE occurred on 15 July.

    The simple solution is:

    1. type the word restore in your Start menu.  Some options will appear.  Choose to restore the system and settings files
2 - Click Next, choose July 14 (or a date before the problem occurred), and then click Next again.  Your system will restart with repaired parameters.

I used to insert a meta tag, but I don't know how to open a Web site in HTML so that it can be edited.

Hello Carlo, Firefox does not include a built-in Web site editor.

I thought you (1) use an online tool provided by the package of your e-shop, or by your host, for editing files in a browser, or (2) change the files locally and then download (often using an FTP client).

    Hello

Thanks for joining us out on Microsoft Community Forums.

From your post, it seems you found DNS error when you access a few sites.

    Quick questions:

    1. What did you solve the problem?
    2. What is the exact error message?

We will try these steps and check:

    Method 1:

Clear the DNS cache forces DNS to query a DNS server rather than using the information stored in the cache.

You can clear the DNS cache that you receive repeated errors when you know that you type an address is correct.

Try these steps and check for the issue:

    a. click the Start button.

    (b) in the search box, type command prompt.

    c. in the list of results, right-click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    d. at the command prompt, type ipconfig/flushdns.

    d. Select Internet Protocol Version 6, and then click Properties.

  • Web pages are not displayed right and can't open certain links

Facebook doesn't show images. My ATT Yahoo home page is displayed very large. Firefox Desktop page only displays the links on a blank white page. Cannot open links on the desktop firefox page, google, bing, etc... Firefox help page works fine. Help!

When I did a search on Google for "CSFire 6.0.1" earlier, this thread appeared: I see, looking at the element 'More system details' next to your original message that you also use CSFire.

I've updated for Firefox 6.0.1 today. Immediately thereafter I started having problems. If I clicked on a bookmark, the browser has not would not navigate to it. In fact, when I opened Firefox, he wouldn't even go to my home page.

After past and disabling one-at-a-time ALL my extensions, I discovered that CSFire is the culprit. When I disable that, everything works again.

-Allegedly - nothing is changed in Firefox 6.0.1 bar the revocation of the certificate, I don't know why that should be, but it's still.

No idea if this will help, but I thought that I'd put it out there on the offchance. Good luck!

    WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT ('http://www.oracle.com','_blank');

The url can be dynamically generated from your code by replacing it with variables.

    WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT ('http://myServer/someApp?' || myParameter || '=' || myParamaterValue,'_blank');

  • After uninstalling Firefox and click on the box that asked to uninstall bookmards too I can't open my old links I had for years. (IE) Help, please!

The only links that are usable are those I've had on a Yahoo toolbar on my home page IE I never deleted or changed during this process. I tried the system restore and restore to ClickFree. The Clickfree has been invested hundreds of icons on my desktop that look like they're going for here at timbuck two. Restoration of the system, said the restoration failed--repeatedly. Don't know if I have to use Recuva - I'm a bit apathetic now to try anything. Help, please. Thank you very much!

The Solution: Tools - Internet Options - tab program... and there was the option of default Web browser. He said that IE is NOT the default browser. I changed it and IT WORKED.

Simple and sweet... all thanks to: Martin Brinkmann a journalist of the Germany who founded Ghacks Technology News back in 2005. I found it through this article:
