I can't open firefox at all, have dl would be latest version... keeps telling me to close firefox before it can install, but it is not open... a lot of sites have implemented bookmark that I don't want to lose
Cannot open firefox
You must close the windows with the Windows Task Manager.
- "Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
- Choose the Windows Task Manager
- Select the 'process '.
- Select firefox.exe with right click and narrow tree
When the installation is almost at the end, it will ask if you want that he start Firefox for you, if that's the case, refused the offer. Once the installation is complete, launch Firefox to your habit. Which reduces your chance to create a new profile and do not find your bookmarks, etc..
The proper way to close Firefox is with file > exit not with the 'X' at the top right which closes just the window. By properly closing Firefox, you will have to depend on less often have to 'force' windows to stop Firefox via the Windows Task Manager.

Hello bonkk,
Outlook Express is disabled or uninstalled on the computer. If this is due to the recent changes to the computer, I suggest that you do a system restore on your computer. You can check the link that will give you information about how to restore the system on the computer below:

Vista OS does not load. I tried booting and the load screen bar continues to work without success. When you run the start he stops to c:\windows\system 32\cmd.exe that I don't want to lose my files so I have not reinstalled. Any suggestions?
Restore point:
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

Data recovery, if/before you reinstall:
1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.
2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.
3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:
http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html
Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
Download the Vista software from the link above.
After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
See you soon.
IF I update I have led again that I don't want?
It seems that leads made part of your updates? You can remove it from your system? Or send me a updated with her installation?
No Conduit (aka effective brand) not associated with extension has ALREADY been included with any Firefox install or setup of www.mozilla.org. In fact, Mozilla mass them removed addons.mozilla.org , hosting site a few times in past and then for some reason any reluctantly allowed them to all sorts it later.
A few old threads on the forums of independent mozillaZine (prior to the start of Sumo forums) to show the headaches that they once were especially.
You want to upgrade 64-bit but have old obsolete programs, I don't want to lose?
I'm running Win 7 32 bit and you want to upgrade to win 7 64 bit. I know that to do this I have to do a clean install. But I have many older programs, that I always use. Many of the original disc have been lost in a fire a couple of years. And most of my old programs is not yet supported more.
My only option I see is upgraded and drop them. Or build an another desktop computer and start over and keep my old computer for programs.
But I was wondering, I could replace my hard drive with a new one, save the original hard drive, load win 7 64 bit on the new hard drive. can implement a virtual machine and run older 32-bit version on it?
I'm about to bite the bullet and go, leaving my old programs behind, but I always use and I paid a lot of money for them (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and so on.
Is there any hope, or should I spend in the future and leave the past behind?
If your programs are important to you, I suggest that stick you with Windows 7 32 bit, especially if they work very well and accomplish all tasks you need to do.
You could do a P2V and migrate your installation of Windows 32 bit to a Virtual Machine, but the process is time consuming and does not guarantee stability.
Its best you have a new machine with Windows 7 64-bit configuration and gradually migrate your applications and workflows over time.
Update to 9.3.1 iOS will cause questions to my iPhome 6 and iPod 5th generation
I have a lot of important things about them that I don't want to lose
and I can't save them because my computer is broken
I can't promise anything but through discussions on the forum questions to 9.3.1 vs threads have reported problems for 9.3, there are significantly fewer problems for 3.1 3.
You can always save things until you do (honestly, it is advisable to always back up your device before installing new software)
Even with a broken computer you can save things via iCloud, or simply important files to yourself by email or use something like dropbox, of them for download at.
I always use Google as my search engine of firefox.
However, I must have accidentally downloaded a file that has implemented the GOL research as my search engine and I want to get rid of it.
Info to do this strangely is not anywhere on google searches.
Mozilla told to go in addons/extensions etc, but the search engine is not listed anywhere.
I also uninstalled programs I recently downloaded but think this research-gol will not.
I'm worried of uninstalling firefox and put it back, I have about 500 Favorites and I don't want to lose them and my current browsing session.
Can someone tell me how to get rid of this annoying search engine garbage?
Thank youSee here Unistall research-gol of firefox
What I would do, my computer has so many unwanted programs, is to reinstall Vista and not all HP programs that I don't want. It seems to make the computer too slow. I don't have a Vista disc, only the recovery CD I did in the beginning. Can I recover and just reinstall Vista, or should I get back it?
Thank you
Billoriginal title: recoveryIf your "Vista recovery disc" is provided by the manufacturer of your computer, be it Dell, Gateway, Hewlett-Packard, etc... Then chances are he's doing a thing. Completely format your hard drive and restores your computer to the day you brought it home. It's a major nuisance for many people these days, as if you have an error and Windows says 'Please insert the Vista CD to fix it Windows' well, you do not HAVE the CD to correct the error. Your only option is a complete erasure of all data.
So, my advice is to avoid ever NEED to use the recovery CD, and if you don't... hope you have backups of your important data (which is another thing, backup your important data often!).
