  Hi Deb, it's hard for me to test it personally because I've pinned the shortcut of Firefox to the taskbar, which changes its behavior, and when I remove it, I don't fit my desktop icon. (?!)

  Hello Thomas_Hunt, can you try to start firefox in safe mode by pressing the SHIFT key during startup of this and see if the problem occurs there too? Maybe a theme or hardware acceleration intrudes here...

  If safe mode does not work, you can try to disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general and or disable addons that could cause the problem.
