  This problem occurs because Adobe folder ~/Library/Application Support / do not have full read/write permissions.

  Make sure you see your username (with which you are connected) in the window permissions (get info)

  Otherwise, press on the + sign and add your username and give read/write information.

  Use Windows Explorer to open the folder that contains your catalog. In Windows, the default location is Pictures\Lightroom. In this folder, you will find a file with .lock extension. The file name must be the same as your catalog. After deleting this file Lightroom should restart normally for you. Do not delete any other files or folders. This lock file is one that is created by the catalog each time that Lightroom is open. If Lightroom stops abnormally or if there is some kind of problem then this file can be left.

  right click on icon > click Properties > Shortcut tab > in the target field replace lightroom 6 with your version of lightroom.

  Delete this file. Do not delete anything else.

  Have you tried running Lightroom and now Ctrl + Alt in this launch?

  -It should prompt you to create a new catalog

  Launch for Lightroom problems are usually problems with Activation or catalog.

  Catalog more often, so try with a new catalog, you can determine if the problem is with the catalog or activation.
