I can't open links in the email Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista

The links in my email do not work in Outlook 2007.  I use Windows Vista.  Links worked fine until I installed then uninstalled Google Chrome.  No idea how I can fix the links?

Thank you

It's called the problem after you have uninstalled Chrome.  It is ultimately a default browser related issue; There are different 'cure', but none exactly foolproof.  Here are some of the threads I have my favorites:

  • Open links in the email

I can't access the web with links in my emails. It is a fairly new problem (during the last 10 days). Are you aware of updates that could change my settings?

What software do you use for email management?
Usually, if Firefox is the default browser, web pages should open in Firefox.

Go to settings-> advanced-> general-> Control Panel and check if Firefox is the default browser.

  • I can't open links as the screen flashes but does not allow a new intake open. It was very iffy for several weeks, but it happens more and more.

It started several weeks ago, but now the frequency has increased to where I can't open a link in a new take. The screen flashes, but nothing happens. I've tried Google Chrome, and this problem does not occur in another browser, so I guess this isn't my CPU, or security software. I use Avast and Malware Malbytes. I won't change to Firefox! Help!

You must do a little more troubleshooting to determine the cause; as explained in this section of this safe mode support page.

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/troubleshoot-Firefox-issues-using-safe-mode#w_the-problem-does-not-happen-in-safe-mode

The problem does not occur in Mode safe

If the problem does not occur in Mode without fail, it is likely due to an acceleration of the extension, theme or material.

See Troubleshooting extensions and themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems for solutions.

    Hello

1 have you tried the methods mentioned in the post above?

Please get back with the results so we can help you better.

Method 1: You can also configure your computer in a clean boot state and check to see if the same problem happens.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Method 2: Also I suggest you to see the link below, which will help you solve the stop (blue screen) errors in Windows Vista.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/resolving-stop-blue-screen-errors-in-Windows-7

(Some of the steps in the link remains valid for Windows Vista as well)

    Hope this information is useful.

    Hello

The preview pane are you referring? To disable it, go to control panel control/taskbar and Start Menu, and then uncheck the box on the first tab prΘvisualisation "see the windows (thumbnails). Apply/ok your way out.

Having this feature enabled should not prevent your ability to click on the icons on the taskbar.

Check your Internet Explorer to see if it has its flaws...
Start > default programs > set your default programs > click on Internet Explorer. He said "this program has all its defaults"?
If not, click default to this program > check on all the entries in the list > click Save

  • Link on the email template

    Hello

I want to add a link on the e-mail template. When the Manager an e-mail for approval, there should be a link to the approval page and must click on the link and login page appears to him

can someone tell me how I can put a link on the email template

    Hello

Definitions of IOM email are sent in "plain text", so you cannot attach any hyperlink. If you want to send mails html you will need to develop an adapter to make this requirement (a little 'dirty' just to have links to this topic).

Moreover, e-mail "understad' text service clients connects (http://www.smth.com, or same email) and generate the link by themselves on the client side, so if your system will send mails to a corporate e-mail system I would check if it has this behavior before coding anything.

    Kind regards

Note: If you really want to do, here's a tip: content = "text/plain" is hardcoded in the class tcSendMail's send() method.
    (xlVO.jar\com\thortech\xl\client\mail)

It is a small class, may be you can rebuild with other content.

  • I click on the links in the email and get a box that says: "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action" and the link cannot be opened.

    Original title: problem e mail

I click on the links in the email and get a box that says: "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action" and the link cannot be opened.

    Suggestions;

    1. make sure that your e-mail program is your default program.

    2. make sure that your Internet Explorer, or your main browser has all its faults.

You can do both of the above by following these steps...

Start button > right column, click default programs > click Set Your Default programs...

    1. click on your e-mail program > it doesn't say "this program has all its defaults"?
If not, click on choose by default for this program > check all boxes below the list > click on save when finished.

2 do the same as above for your Internet Explorer, or your main browser.
