I can't receive all my email on outlook express?

I get all my emails.  Nothing has changed and they are commercial partners that ive had for years.  They can read mine, I can't get Thiers?  What can I do to restart or update, or even to check Outlook?

Thank you

GlenSB

I moved your post on the forum that deals with Outlook Express.

If you do not receive the messages from people, and they tell you that they sent them, there are two places to look.  The first is in your own mailbox.  You must determine if the messages are delivered, but Outlook Express just is not bring or if they are not reach your Inbox mailbox.  The first you can manage; the second is out of your control (but not, perhaps, independent of the will of the people, sending to you).

If you use Outlook Express, you use a POP or IMAP account, since that's all what Outlook Express can handle.  The account type is probably POP.  If Outlook Express is not access your messages, then it is likely, they are not in the Inbox folder on the server side.  To check, log in your Inbox mailbox using a web browser.  Your mail service provider will be instructions to do this.  Examine the Inbox on the server.  If messages do not exist, Outlook Express cannot download them.  Many servers have a folder 'Spam' or 'Junk mail' in which they will place questionable messages.  Look in this folder to see if the messages that you think you should have gotten are there.  If you find them, move them to the Inbox on the server and the white list the addresses of your shippers on the server so that it will never divert these shippers again.  Suppliers of Help included pages have directions for that, too.

If you do not see the messages that you receive, then your mailers must do some research because their messages do not reach your Inbox mailbox at all.  It's nothing, you can address; they will have to do.  Ask them if they receive non-delivery reports when they send you messages and know what these non-delivery reports.  If they get no notice of non-delivery has failed, they will have to register their providers of messaging services to help track down where the delivery will fail.

original title: I can't receive emails from outlook express.

    Hi Mike,.

Make sure that you have not activated your antivirus software analysis of electronic mail.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 which is often a problem with receiving and sending a message.

Then, try to go to file | Identities and setup a new identity.  This will give you a new message store and a new registry hive (where all the settings and account info is).  Add your email account and see if it works very well.  If it sticks sometimes, make sure that you are not setting to check messages too often (like every 3 minutes or somesuch).  You can also try to increase the timeout for the server where this is a problem (Tools |) Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced).  See if who deals with issues "" OE gel.  If Yes, then you can use the file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.

I do not know that moving to Outlook might solve the problem, because they both use the same mechanism to retrieve messages.  If you still have problems, come on and generate a log file and when OE freezes, which could give some indication of what is the underlying problem.  Make sure that you disable the log file later, because this file grows enormously and can cause problems if it becomes too large.

  • I can receive and answer emails on outlook express but I am unable to store a contact or add sender to address book.

    original title: outlook express

I can receive and answer emails on outlook express but I am unable to store a contact or add sender to address book. I get the error message "an error has occurred. Outlook Express could not add the sender to the address book"

Office has not OE and Outlook.  Are you sure you are using OE and not Outlook?

The default location of the address book (wab file) is C:\Documents and Settings\ [username] \Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\username.wab

The location is hidden, so you must go to control panel | Folder options | Discovers and check the box to include the display of the hidden files and folders and uncheck the option to hide the extensions of the file types that you want to know.  Then see if you can browse to the location of the wab file and find him then.

  • After compaction all my emails in Outlook Express 8 I am able to receive more emails, but how can I recover lose them emails?

    original title: IE * compaction

After compaction in OE8 I lost all emails from the Inbox since August 2010 to present.  I can now receive incoming e-mails, but is it possible to recover my lost mails?  If so, how?  Thank you.

There is no such thing as OE8 or IE compaction, but I think that's what you ask

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :

    Recovery methods:

If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

    And see:

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • How can I import all my information in Outlook Express without duplicates?

    original title: IMPORT OUTLOOK EXPRESS

HOW CAN I IMPORT OUTLOOK EXPRESS (OLD INBOX) TO THE NEW A DUPLICATED WITHOUT

Never import in a current Inbox.  The Inbox must be small and not to accumulate a lot of messages, or it will self-destruct and you will lose all the messages.  Import into another folder.  You can use the method to manually import messages that is described here: www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#imp1 method excludes duplicates, but she does not them either, except when you import a folder already having duplicates.  My OEX program (www.oehelp.com/OEX/) will also import messages from the (relatively small) dbx files and directories of eml files and has a feature that removes duplicates.

  • How can I move all the folders in Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail?

Bought a new computer with Windows Home, how can I move the folders of Outlook Express in Windows XP SP3 in Windows Live Mail? Thanks for your help.

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail. Open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

Open the Contacts list in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

    For the account settings:

In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new computer and WLMail desktop: tools | Accounts and import the settings from the location you saved the.

I can't view the Inbox or receive emails with Outlook Express; address book, sent & project options are ok.

I ignored the request of compact messages.

Your Inbox may be altered.  Go to file | Identities and set up a new identity and add your email account and see if it works.  If Yes, then you can try to import older identity, but you may need a program to extract messages otherwise (see www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/).  You should not ignore the request to compact the database messages, like at the time, the Inbox and other folders get corrupted and you lose messages - see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2 .

  • I can't receive emails on Outlook Express. Get the 0x800C0133 error message number.

I can send and receive Outlook e-mail messages and can send emails on Outlook Express, but cannot receive them on Outlook Express. Get the 0x800C0133 error message number.

I can send and receive Outlook e-mail messages and can send emails on Outlook Express, but cannot receive them on Outlook Express. Get the 0x800C0133 error message number.   Problem seems to be with the program Outlook Express and think I need to reinstall.  How do you do that?
    Error number: 0x800C0133 = a corrupt Inbox.

Move any message you want to save to a local folder that you create. Then, remove the problem of Inbox as follows.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the box of Inbox.dbx and delete it. Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Note that for many AV programs, it may be necessary to uninstall the program and reinstall in custom Mode and uncheck e-mail scanning when the option is available.

2: Create a new sent items and Outbox.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

All of a sudden for the last three days I can't receive or send emails in windows... I know there are some here - I can access it directly from the Charter.  Help!

Is the error 0x800ccc19? There is no error in 0x000ccc19. Well, there is no in Google. Its a time-out error

If this is the case, disable it. Or disable e-mail analysis. It is making the time out emails

    copy to local/my_backup records

You can also mark the ones that you want to save, right click and copy...
