  It seems that Avast is blocking messages from anyone not in your contacts list (much too tight fixed).  Disable the function of checking email and see if that solves the problem.  If so, run it without the option of e-mail enabled - it does not really help as long as you take normal precautions (as not to open attachments from people you don't know / trust and things like that).  If you don't know how to disable this feature, contact technical support Avast (I do not use the product so I don't know how, but it's probably under Options or something like that).  If this does not work, try to go to Microsoft Security Essentialshttp://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Microsoft-Security-Essentials-Download-131683.html where I know that this problem is not happen and see if that solved the problem.

  If you use the Windows 8 Mail application and then print the message:

  -By pressing Ctrl + P will open the list of printers. Select the printer you want then choose from the list of print options and finally click print (lower-right) to print.

  -Display the charms bar then select devices then select your printer (and then follow the prompts) to print from the Mail app.

  With respect to attachments, simply open the attachment (after you click on it to download) by clicking right on it and selecting open/open with. Then you should be able to print the attachment in the program that was opened.

  Thunderbird gets all messages if you use IMAP. If you are using pop, you get what's in the Inbox. This limitation is based on the Protocol of messaging of your choice.   For two days, my Windows Mail service ceased to send or receive e-mail addresses. My internet service provider is Comcast. A Comcast tech checked the problem and determined that the problem is with Windows Mail and not Comcast.   Here is the answer.  Log in to Windows mail.  Click on tools.  Access accounts.  Click on your username.  Go to properties.   Click on the box under servers, click the box my server requires a secure outgoing connection. This must be a POP3 connection.  Under incoming mail must say: mail.comcast.net.  Under outgoing mail it should say: smtp.comcast.net go to the Advanced tab, your outgoing mail must be 587 & your incoming mail must be 110.  None of the boxes requiring sure connectrion must be verified on the Advanced tab.  On the general tab, you must enter your mind to email Comcast.  On the Server tab, incoming mail, you must enter your username & password.  Also, not everyone at Comcast knows what is happening.  I had to tell me that my email problem was caused by a virus, when in fact, it is because their system was down.  They had me go to Microsoft.com download a virus removal toll which has led in turn to make me lose my all the Windows operating system.

  Forever? Doubtful that many would be useful.

  You can save them to RTF or export them as PDF. If there are attachments, you will need to save those separately.
