I can't remove an AUTORUN. (Viral) INF file in my J drive

After that I borrowed from my friend to copy some games in this external hard drive, I got Kaspersky and Avira virus detection.

When I removed the files detected, this weird autorun is still in drive J I scanned with Avira and Kaspersky but no detection has been found, but I suspect it's something malicious? When I tried to manually delete this file, it is said I needed authorization from the administration to do, but I'm already the Admin (I'm the only one who uses my pc Vista Home Basic x 32). I tried to change the file properties to allow me to remove, however, when I right click and properties, it shows only 2 tablets (general and details).

The file information;

Name: AUTORUN. INF

Opens with: notebook

Size: 16 KB

Type: Configuration information

Folder path: J:\

PS: I tried using the method of the prompt, restart in safe mode, remove it and using the program Dr.Delete, using regstry cleanser like Glary Utilities, use disk cleanup, but all give the same answer "need permission of the administration."

I need help as soon as POSSIBLE, thanks in advance!

When you share a public link, the document is downloaded into the cloud of document so that users who receive the link can download the document.

However, it does not appear that you have completed the workflow (in fact sent a link to anyone) so it is unlikely that someone has seen the document. For instructions on sharing, see Adobe Acrobat Reader for Android help: print, share, e-mail.

  • Can I remove my exported html bookmark file after I re any and it merged with my restoration of my old favorites? Even with the json file?

I recently reinstalled my OS on a new drive and have just successfully restored my old favorite and imported all the new bookmarks that I had saved from the OS install. I just want to know if it is safe to remove the json file I have restored from since it was on the old disk I want to format and I can also delete the html file I created by exporting my new bookmarks until I started this process?
    Marc

You can keep a backup of the old file or make backups, backups JSON on the new computer.

You can decide for yourself if you would have a use of this file.

If all bookmarks have been restored successfully, then you won't need the backup, and you can create a new backup regularly if you have modified or added bookmarks.

  • How can I remove folder rip of monitored files of Windows Media Player 11?

RIP my CD to wav files on an external drive that I can use to make compilations of disc or mp3, but if I put this drive to be Windows Media Player rip folder, it includes it in the library of almost anything. As much as I have a separate player for mp3 (Yes, I don't keep my music in My Documents, Microsoft; I really don't like my music down from the ship), it includes the files wav and mp3 s, causing duplicates in my library. I only want to listen to mp3 because I use a computer as a network hub to my mp3.

How can I delete the folder rip as a watched folder, and why Microsoft does not insist on what actually monitored? I don't see the point. I now do a temp folder just for tears and move the wav files on before turning back to my library. Pain.

    Hi dhinged,

Ripped files are automatically added to the Windows Media Player library. On the computer, the files are in the folder specified on the tab extract music from the Options dialog box. You can change the folder at any time, but it can not be removed from monitored by Windows Media Player.
Ref: where can I find the files that I ripped?

I suggest you to create folders separated external hard disk (wav) files ripped to mp3 so that you can monitor folders separately.
Ref: To change the files are controlled by the player: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Add-items-to-the-Windows-Media-Player-library

  • How can I remove the UTC Timestamp of files saved by FileHistory?

Given that I had so many problems with Windows 8.1 on my ASUS PC x202e, I backed up my files with the history of the Windows files on a hard drive external and restored the machine to factory settings, so I could start using Windows 8 again, with which I had no problem.

I record a lot of audio with a freeware recording studio called Audacity, which saves thousands of audio files for each audio project. Because the history of the files rename all files with the timestamp UTC, Audacity does not recognize these thousands of files, unless I have rename removing the timestamp. I have about 7 audio projects that I need to get - it would take several days of tedious to rename all the files.
For example, the original file name was:
    e0000d79.au
On my external hard drive, the file appears as:
    e0000d79 (2013_11_24 01_59_07 UTC) .at

Is it possible to somehow restore these files to their original filename without the stamp? I looked in the file history, but was unable to find an option like that.
    Thank you
    James
EDIT: I thought that it would take some kind of software that runs a script to do that for me. I found this Powershell script to remove the 8 digits after an underscore in any file name:
    Get-ChildItem *.txt |
    Where {$_.Name -match '_\d{8}\.txt' } |
    Rename-Item -NewName {$_.Name -replace '_\d{8}'}

I had to use Powershell to solve a problem with Windows 8.1 not too long ago, but I'm not familiar with how it works. Y at - it a similar script that I could run? For example, by removing everything that comes after that a beginning parenthesis would work, as there are has no parentheses in the names of the files clean I need clean.

As I had suspected, historical files offers a device to "restore" your files on your PC that will remove the timestamp, so that copy and paste your files from an external retains the time stamp intact. Are there absolutely no need a complex script or something like that.

When I restored my computer to factory settings awhile back I changed the name of my machine to something again and I had since started a new file history for the files in the restored machine - in other words, two backups, I seem to stop me to use both, as the main screen of the history of the files only presented me an option - historical files of the current computer.
However, this was not a problem when I discovered that you can visit history of file to restore files from a previous backup feature.
    1. go in Control Panel
    2. under "System and security" click "Save Backup Copies of your files with history files"
    3. click on "Select Drive" on the left
    4. Select the external hard drive. In my case, I had two backups on the same external.
    5. When you click on your drive, the "Select an existing backup" window appears.
I have selected the history of files from my old computer, find the files that I was sick of having stamps and restored in a new folder on my desktop. Audacity now recognizes my projects again! Not bad actually.
  • Audio playback USB and device names record - the enumeration of devices, device INF file or required device driver?

My gadget usb audio has two "playback devices" and a "recording device".

It works with the usbaudio.sys driver, but I want to give each channel separate namespaces.

I found a way in windows 7 to rename the audio device using UI actions (right click, properties, etc.), but I want to do it via usb enumeration, instead of requiring the user to do.

USB enumeration has a "output terminal device", which has different categories of devices, but these don't map with different names.

    1. is there a a way to change the name of an audio playback and the recording device using the usb enumeration data?

    2. can I do this automatically on a usb hotplug?

    3. an INF file help?

    4. or I have to write my own driver to rename playback and recording devices?

  • If I downloaded photos on my iphone on my hard drive from the desktop computer, can I remove iphoto library without deleting them on the hard drive?

I received the message that my iphone storage is almost full.  It is mainly from photos and videos.  I deleted the videos and have uploaded my photos on my hard drive of computer desk top of the page (which is a Dell non Apple products).  Can I now enter into the iphoto library and delete photos without losing those I downloaded on my desktop computer.  If so, how do I?  Thank you D

iCloud is a synchronization system, not an external 'hard drive '. If you remove them on your device, they will remove icloud. To increase the available space, go settings/iCloud/Photos and select optimize iPhone/iPad storage. That will reduce the space required by 90% when it is fully effective.

  • How can I remove a reference to a file in the registry?

When I boot I get a box telling me to remove a reference to the START. EXE from the registry.

    Hi BARRYWHEATON,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    3. What is the full error message that you receive at startup?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

  • How can I remove the filename of a file ID a file downloaded?

    Hello

IM the upload/download of files in my application (apex 4.0), and it works very well, however, the file name that appears has the id of file I attached to it, ex: F1903848613/my_test_file.txt

IM thinking I need to use some kind of combination to find the position of the ' / ' and then SUBSTR file name, or REPLACE to remove the characters up to and including the ' / '.

    Can someone please advise.

    Thank you very much

find the position of the ' / '.

InStr() could do, -1 to start from the end of the string, then substr() starting with the next character after the instr() value...

    select substr( 'F1903848613/my_test_file.txt', instr( 'F1903848613/my_test_file.txt','/',-1)+1) from dual;

I think I made this vaugely, so allow me to develop. I have a template for a website I made, and the model I created another template for a subsection of the site. Now, whenever I try to change the model of paragraph, to change all the subsections, the main model and her children do not work...

It is a difficult situation and I need the Web site running Tuesday. Help, please.

    Thanks in advance

Nested templates.  Yuck.  Remove the 2nd template of your templates folder.

Open your original template (DWT file).  Save as a new file (for example Template2.dwt) name.

Change the model as needed.  Save again.

You have now 2 independent models, you can use to spawn new pages.

Original title: Tmp files.  What are the empty folders such as MSI1de5d.tmp in C: / drive?  I have @ 75.  Can I delete? by daytripper

MSI1de5d.tmp what are the empty folders like this?  Who and why are they created?

    Hello

Have you done a recent software or hardware changes to the system?

By default the TEMP is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp but MSI (Windows Installer) has always put msixxx.tmp serial % systemroot%\TMP.

MST files are special files that are used to specify parameters or options during a program installation.

Nothing in the Temp folder can be deleted safely once the computer has been restarted.  No matter what is there, all the files created there have been created on a temporary basis.

You can delete the files after restarting the computer.

You can also use Disk Cleanup to delete these files.

  • How can I remove special permissions to all files and subfolders?

The hard drive has several main folders and files and subfolders within each of these main folders. When I right click on the main folder and go to properties > Security > advanced > Permission to change, I see my username with total control and "apply to" a "This folder, subfolders and files", but I'm unable to open the files in the main folder and must manually change permissions for each of these files.
