I can't send email, though we can receive mail

We cannot send email on Windows Vista even if receive us mail.  Discussed with Verizon who claim that they have checked all angle and 'say' it's a Windows problem.  Also discovered that we cannot receive or send messages on our iphone.  The one thing that Verizon has do us, is to change our password.  This started just after we installed a new wireless distribution system to replace one that had ceased to function.  Have set up email on my ipad on my verizon account where I can receive and send e-mail.

I check the settings and make sure that you have them right in windows mail.

Good luck

    Anyone else having this problem?

    Thanks nene!

I have studied the problem and the solution.
    The results are displayed below.

IF YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER IS

    ATT OR SBC GLOBAL
    AND YOUR EMAIL CLIENT IS
       WINDOWS LIVE MAIL
    AND YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM IS

    WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM
AND IF YOU CAN RECEIVE MAIL
    CAN NOT SEND to MAIL
BE SURE TO CHECK THE FOLLOWING SETTINGS:

Outgoing (SMTP) server port should be 587
and CHECK the box that says "my server requires authentication".
Do NOT check the SSL box.

Click APPLY at the bottom, and then close the Windows Live Mail program
and then reopen it.  This should send messages in your Outbox (as appropriate).
To speed up this process, you can click on the SYNC button on the MenuBar at the top of WML.

If there are no messages to send, compose a new message and send it to yourself.
You can click on SYNCHRONIZE to watch status box open and show you if it sends.
Check also sent box and Inbox for sending TEST msg.

    * also, if you have been told by AT & T or SBC GLOBAL who to check your email on the internet you must go through Yahoo.com and enter your full e-mail (att.net OR sbcglobal.net) and enter your log in password, then your email POP3 and SMTP settings must also include the following:

    INCOMING (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com
    OUTBOUND (SMTP): mail.yahoo.com

    Thanks & sincerely,.

  • I can no longer send email TB but still receive.

TB left, recently, allowing me to send e-mail messages. I always receive mail, but when I try to send messages, I'm invited to a password. It does not accept the password. I can send messages to my iphone and a mail app on the web, is not a problem within the account, just with TB. How to fix this?

  • Outlook Express 6 problem - the Outbox can receive mail but not send Ox800CCC79 error message

Can receive messages but not send error message Ox800CCC79

This account has already worked? The error message indicates that you are either using Promail and attempts to send via another server, or by using another server and trying to send via Promail. Whatever it is, the error 550 is a refusal to relay messages.

  • Windows Mail can receive mail but not send worked for years

I used Messaging windows for many years and now all of a sudden I have that can receive messages but can't send it I tried everything that the help section nothing. Does anyone have an answer or a suggestion?   Help, please

I don't know your password.  If you have forgotten your password, you need to ask your ISP.  The concept behind a password is that only you know.

  • OE, send emails, but do not receive not.

For two weeks about once a day opening OE would bring a box with my email and password asking me to check.  Clicking OK did not help.  OE would remain in mode "allow."  I could close OE, try again and it would work normal.  Ago about the same problem, but then the OE began not to receive emails (although got them all morning).  I called my ISP, AT & T U-Verse.  They reset my password and permission no longer appears, but I still could not receive emails.  They had me go to properties in OE and change the mail incoming (POP3) from 110 to 995.  It also did not help.  I can open OE, send emails and one sent to myself; It is located in the sent folder and appears in my Inbox on the server.  I get this message:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, secure (SSL): Yes, Socket error: 10060, error number: 0x800CCC0E

AT & T/Yahoo does now host Bellsouth mail with different parameters?
  • Cannot send emails from Windows 7 Windows Mail

By mistake, I sent an email with only "Bcc" and no main address.  This has created the following error message:

Windows live mail error ID 0x800CCC69

    Server error 550

is not consistent with the RFG2822 standard

    SMTP Protocol

    Port 587

    no SSL security.

I would like to know how to fix this error and have the error window that appears whenever I try to send emails.

Check to work offline and then delete the offending of the Outbox message.

  • Unable to send emails with attachments on Windows Mail

    Original title: Live Mail troubleshooting

For 48 hours, we were unable to send emails and attachments.  We use Live Mail on Windows 7.  Any suggestions?

You get a specific error or the message just stay in the Outbox?

Also, are you sure that the attachment is too large?  Try to send something very small, like a small text file.

Another thing, even if it is little probable that the real problem. I want to just make sure that you are on the latest version of the program. Go to the file menu and about and make sure you're on Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528).  It is not likely that having an older version is the real problem, but it's always good from the most recent version to let you know that you have all the bug fixes.

  • cannot send emails to myself in windows mail. How can I fix it?

The emails sent appear in the sent file, but never arrive in the Inbox I found them in the spam webmail folder. What I have to disable the spamblocker and how can I do?  Thanks for your help!

As noted in Bruce, open a session on your bellsouth account via webmail and you should be able to select the message in your junk e-mail folder and choose to allow or list white there.  There is nothing on your computer that allows you to control that.
