If your bios is P01 - A1, you as far as you can go. Notice P01 - A1 is not in the list of the Bios. P01 - A1L is, but this isn't your bios. You will also notice the size of the BIOS there are bigger than yours and the new Bios must be the exact size as yours to install.

  • How do to change the Mouse/touchpad options Aspire E5 (521-610p)? Cannot find beyond the base pointer options.

Just a new Aspire E5 for my girlfriend and can't see how to change the options of touchpad (for example, sensitivity, scroll to settings, etc). On my V3 571 G acer from the base of the mouse options I can go in "momentum" to change various options but do not seem to have (or cannot be found) this option on the new E5... any advice. I'm sure it's something obvious that I'm missing.

If there is I have yet to discover, I was looking for other options for about a month myself, now. Synptic precision touchpad, unlike elan touchpad, looks more like a MacBook touchpad with native gestures and the integration of the OS.

  • How can I change a battery on an Aspire One AOA 110 CMOS?

I lost date and time recently.  I update the files, then take their home on a USB key and they seem to be older than what is at home.  It turns out that my date and time is now.  I have to reset the date and time when I boot up to now.  Course, I need to replace the CMOS battery (maybe a CR2032?)  Any info/screenshots on how to find once the case is open?

Looking at the docs Aspire One (but not necessarily your model), it seems that you need to remove the motherboard to access.
As far as I know, the battery is mobile and locked in some shrink sheaths. He has two sons, black and red, and connects by a small plug.
Unless you can find a source for a replacement, you may need to remove the cover to find the number of battery and make up a suitable replacement.

  • replacing keyboard on acer

I have acer aspire 5750g and I plan to change my keyboard for acer aspire keyboard v5-531. I know they don't look the same, but I want that is because of the design and lighting. So my question is can I connect it to my laptop, it is same connector and its backlight won't work because my keyboard curent have no backlight? PS I am aware that I may need to cut the little shell cell phone cover, but I'm fine with that.

No, because they are two very different types of keyboard and are not interchangeable. You wouldn't be able to mount the v5-531 keyboard on your 5750g properly.

No, because your motherboard will not have a connection to the backlight cable.

    1. on the Acer splash screen, you can press Alt and F10 (at the same time press F2 to enter the BIOS) to make it appear a version BACK style eRecovery.

    ·        The unit is able to reload Windows from this mode faster then CD.

    ·        The default password is 000000 (6 zeros) and it is shown when you are prompted for the password.

    ·        Users are able to change the password in this mode for eRecovery only.

    ·        The system can retrieve the hidden on the hard disk (partition PQService) image or a CD/DVD media.

    ·        It is possible to reload the factory CD/DVD style or snapshots that creates the eRecovery Windows version.

    2. in Windows, there are 3 ways to access eRecovery functionality.

    ·        Press Alt and F10

    ·        Open Acer eManager and then double-click eRecovery.

    ·        When a system is new it should automatically open this application and invite you to do the recovery media.

    3. the Windows version of the eRecovery program is stronger then the Dos Version. Below you will find the various features of the Windows version:

Recovery settings: create backup files and change password

    ·        Picture of the backup snapshot (create a disk image of your system configuration)

    1. the system is able to make a CD/DVD image of the current state of mobile software including customer programs installed.

    2. This CD/DVD is usable in Windows and DOS of the program version.

    3. the drive should start, but isn't always.

4 when a snapshot is in fact the image is on the D: partition and then can be burned to disc if eRecovery is said to.

    ·        Burn the Image to disc (create a backup disk)

    1. you can create 3-7 CD or DVD 1-2 such as those that were sent with the units before eRecovery.

    2. the serious CD are equal in usage to the system recovery CD and CD

    ·        Remove data from backup image of capture instant user (if available)

    1. This is how delete you the snapshot on the D: partition images

    ·        Password: (change the eRecovery password)

    1. measures: restore your system using an existing backup file or restore the default configuration in your system factory.

2 backup copy using one of the snapshots has been filed or the original image on the D: partition.

    4. made eRecovery

    ·        When the hard drive is replaced the system loses its characteristics eRecovery. These features are on the hard drive and cannot be reinstalled.

    ·        When reinstalling from the CD/DVD's you will lose the eRecovery program but the DOS version can still function, as if uninstalled, you can not reinstall.

    ·        eRecovery uses Ghost (as well as the use of our recovery CD) to create snapshot images.

    ·        If the PQService partition is removed using fdisk or a utility under Windows, you may need to reinstall Windows.

    ·        If the system is recharged using the DOS version, you will retain the eRecovery feature.

  • Windows Vista clocks works slowly and does not reset correctly when the computer is restarted.

I can reset the clock via the server of internet time and after about an hour, he begins to lose time.  When you restart the laptop, the clock is not properly reset the CMOS.  I don't think I have battery problems since the clock loses time if connected to power or not.

Thanks for the reply David.  I'm not sure that replacing the CMOS battery in a laptop is simple.  I'd appreciate an information change in a notebook Acer Aspire.

  • Can I change the processor and graphics card on my acer aspire?

    Hello

    recently I went in game

And I really want to be able to play at HQ

So my question is: can I put a new processor and video card

In my acer aspire witouth problems?

Doesn't look like as you can change the processor. Limits to the motherboard. But there is no onboard video. If you get a low profile graphics card and added it to the computer, it could work. But because the computer is an older computer, you will not be able to put in the last and best. I would like to talk to a local technician to see what is available in your area for this computer.

  • can I change my os from xp32 to win7 * 64 or 32 on aspire one model kav60 (AOD250) and how

    Hello.

I have acer aspire one model kav60 (AOD250) with os win xp32 bit.is it works on os win 7 * 64 bit or 32 bit.and how to install it.knowing RAM is 1GB.any precautions or anything else to do before the change.

    enjoy assistance and answers.

If your model is an Intel Atom in the series, it is probably capable of 64-bit, otherwise it is not. I don't think that Win 7 runs very well with 1 GB. To install, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jfwm_G9-Ofw
