• Fingerprint reader problem

  Fingerprint reader has stopped working.  Tried to re-register fingerprints, got the window: software error of fingerprints, in which it says an internal error has occurred (rpnp2: No. - svr (00000000usserver)).   Check if you have the two fingerprints of Thinkpad Lenovo Fingerprint Reader AND installed Reader and check that you have tried to use. I had the same problem and uninstalled the Lenovo one - I think they came as part of the first installation of ThinkVantage / System and then updates it updated / downloaded a new version and they are in conflict with eachother (or, rather, Windows tried to use one, while the other was one really to work with fingerprint reader).

  Can check you in Device Manager, if the drivers for the fingerprint reader is installed. If it is not installed, check the manufacturing site for update fingerprint drivers.

  She thinks about one of his friends were playing with it (it was a year ago).

  I used to use VISTA and I have registed finger the index print until yesterday. I deleted all the partition and then installed Windows 7 and installed all the drivers. I could all registry middle finger, but I was no longer able to index regisger.

  Another reason, I created a new windows profile and delete the old profile of windows. After that, I could not record not only the index, but also major as well. I guess these finger print data stored outside the windows user profile, but I can't find where it is. How I remove registerd information?

  I'm running a Pavilion dm4-1150ea under Windows 7 Professional (64 bit).  My fingerprint reading software is damaged and I need to re - install.  I have a system recovery disk, but cannot identify the correct file.  Can anyone provide the name please?

Read the error message: "the fingerprint reader is not connected" so I followed the suggestion given in the forum. The new error message says I have need a program for IT is no program in the computer... I have not all system disks... none came with the computer. I'm not computer... help!

  Fingerprint reader has stopped working after installing Norton Internet Security 2012 on both of my notebooks from HP.

  Product name: HP Pavilion dv6

  Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit

  Error message in Device Manager under biometric devices in Device Manager displays an exclamation mark beside validity sensors (WBF) (PID = 0018). The following message is under the general tab: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) ».

  Driver is present and seems to be up-to-date.

  Appreciate your help.

  I have finally isolated the problem of my software lack of HP dv6 fingerprint reader. I think Norton Removal Tool, available online at www.symentec.com/nrt, was the reason. I am sure this conclusion because the exact same problem occurred after I installed Norton Internet Security 2012 on laptop HP same as my wife. I tried, in vain, to uninstall and reinstall the driver for the biometric fingerprint device provided by Validity Sensors, Inc.

  After spending a day and a half to try to "solve" the problem, I decided to restore my system and go back to the prior agreement of the point of the installation of Norton. Thank you HP to make this process quick and painless. Don't forget that if you installed anything after the restore point, it will have to be reinstalled.

  Fortunately, there's a less intrusive on CD of Norton removal tool. This utility uninstalls an older version of Norton you are requested to restart and then installs the latest NIS. It is a method of removal safer that wide brush offered by the Norton Online link, which wipes everything remotely suspect.

  After reinstalling Norton Internet Security 2012 from the CD, everything works as it should, including the fingerprint reader.

  I accidentally deleted the driver for fingerprint reader, and now I can't use it.  I looked to see if there is an article of biometric device in the list of HW devices and there is no.  I have recovery drive if it would help to get it working again.

  Since my last question has been answered so quickly and so well I thought I'd try one more.  Are there any drivers to install just the device without additional software, fingerprint reader that comes with it?  I do not want to use the fingerprint reader, but don't want a device not recognized in Device Manager.

Click (windows icon) in the lower left corner (which is to start windows), and then select Control Panel and select user accounts. you will see your account name to simply select the option to remove your password and when you restart computer it will start just to the top with you having to connect. bettr to do for your children is for when you go to user accounts is to select Create new account name whatever you want for children do not assign a password to it and make sure that it is just a regular user account and not an administrator account on this way they can't remove anything or make changes to your computer that could damage the operating system. You should really think about it b4 you just let em have a complete control over it.
