  I honestly don't know what else I could have done and how could I possibly be more thorough. I'm still without an upgrade, and there is no direct path to a phone now except the purchase of a pure and simple. But I have another year on my existing phone because I was stupid enough to give Apple upgrade program!

  Please explain further what you try to 'pair '. You try to pair your phone with your laptop and/or a router using Wi - Fi or Bluetooth? Also, what you try to do when devices can communicate or are "matched."

  The Bluetooth connection will require two Bluetooth compatible devices. For instance if you pair your phone and your computer, both will have Bluetooth adapters.

  If you always use the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus or later, try the following steps:

  • Go to: settings > General > language & region > region - make sure your region is set correctly.
  • Go to: settings > iCloud - at the bottom of the screen, disconnect.
  • Go to: settings > Touch ID & password - password turn off.
  • Restart your iPhone.
  • Reconnect to iCloud, turn on password and try again to add to your cards.

  You may lose everything.  iMessage, like most e-mail services, don't keep permanently undeliverable messages.  They only keep in the short period send queue (I don't know exactly how much time but some Apple tech sites indicate no more than 10 days to two weeks) until they are purged.  That's pretty standard as otherwise, large volume, messaging services would be sitting on tera-bytes of messages not delivered each month.

  You actually have to change my phone number?  If not, let alone sign and only in iMessage when you have the new phone with this set of numbers upward to the service.

  They will almost certainly replace it with another iPhone 6; they usually have replacements on the spot, but nobody on these cards can say with certainty. In case they are not, you will get a more recent version.

  Hi all.  Would appreciate any help.  Have traveled to Mongolia for two weeks without no cell reception or get SMS or voice messages.  A few days before I let my phone iPhone 6s got soaked in water and dies (taking pictures.)  I'm home now and got a new phone but when I activated, I don't see not all messages for 2 weeks I was out of cell phone/wifi reception.  (For obvious reasons, I have not all iCloud since backups.)  It was my birthday while I was away, so I'm especially sad to have lost all messages (I hope and I guess) people sent me.  Sprint said they can't help, they say the messages would have disclosed to the top when I activated my new phone.  Any ideas or work around how I could find these messages?  They must be SOMEWHERE they were sent but never delivered because my phone has never been online.  Thanks a lot for all ideas.

  Yes, you can as long as you understand that you will lose everything that is currently on the phone.

  (1) settings > General > reset > erase content and settings

  That will make the iPhone as new.  Then, during the installation process it again once will ask you if you want to restore from an existing backup.  You can then restore the scheduled backup.
