I had a virus that has installed a proxy server on my PC!

Last night, I was installing software and tried to install SEVERAL viruses on my pc that I managed to stop the installation.
But I had another serious threat I want to know if it's still there and how do I get rid of him.

When I open the software I've tried to install, it automatically opens a new tab on my open window of Firefox and at this moment, I knew that something bad was going on. The thing is that he loaded a few pages in the same tab, using a redirection full so I couldn't get back to them, and it ended in a Google updated (www.google.com/'something'). The thing is that I tried to go to the Firefox download page began telling me that HE WASN'T, then I knew that something heavy was going on. I used the reset tool (topic: support) and parts of the virus got lost in the process.
But the thing is that even when Firefox is configured to start at https://www.google.com.uy , or even when I put the blank page to start option, it ALWAYS redirects me to the page of the virus ( http://www.istartsurf.com/?type=sc & ts = 1412823435 & from = sky & uid = WDCXWD5000AAKX-00ERMA0_WD-WCC2EHK4239242392 ) and if I open an another tab/window without closing the hand , it justs do it as I have it configured (Home: google, new page: vacuum).

Since I have already reset Firefox, I want to know if I should use some other mechanism (probably by deleting the whole folder... \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla) or just reinstall Firefox? I already spend a full scan of my PC with AVG Internet Security 2015 (virus 23 found on the main folder of virus) and some Windows folders and past Ccleaner against each component of Firefox.

If I forget to add whatever it is, please let me know.

One last thing you can do is check that your shortcuts have not been changed by malware. Right click on the shortcut of Firefox/Internet Explorer and select Properties. Check the target line in the tab shortcut - if it contains a web address after the executable application, this is what causes your browser starts in these pages.

If you are still having problems with malware and then as Tyler posted above, using a forum dedicated to the removal of malicious software can give you more information and steps to remove the malware files on your computer.
