I have 8 GB of RAM, but I am having major problems with my pc. Error message when I could actually run diagnostics said system is excessive paging. Help, please.

Have also run the Windows memory diagnostic tool, but system says there is no problem. Have tried everything. Startup Repair is also no problems but there obviously, it is because although the Office seems normal when you can actually get for her, he is immediately frozen and I can't access anything whatsoever files, internet, e-mail. Fortunately, also a laptop so I tried to find help!

Hello

  • What is the brand and model of your computer?

There are several reasons why you may experience excessive paging.  If you do not have enough RAM to run Vista and all additional progtams, then your computer is using your hard drive as additional or virtual memory. Thus, when the system uses the hard disk as memory, excessive paging that is more.  It is therefore possible, you need to add more RAM to your computer.  If you have less than 2 GB of RAM, you can consider adding more.

Another reason why this might happen is if your computer is infected with a virus that uses system resources.  So to run a full virus, malware, spyware, trojan, scan your computer to make sure that it's clean.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

These articles will explain what is virtual memory, how much your computer is currently using and how to change or adjust the amount of virtual memory available on your computer.
