  You can mange ESX 3.x host with vCenter 4.x - you can't manage ESX 4.x, vCenter 2.x hosts

  The RAID, you can set up through your motherboard is known as 'false' RAID.

  This is not supported in ESX. ESX only supports the RAID hardware controllers real (as indicated in the HCL)

  Even if this could work in your case, you would probably a real bad performance. The reasons are that a RAID5 with 3 drives is one of the slower RAID configurations that can be configured and your RAID controller does not write cache.

  This means that EE can not see Essbase running on the server that you specified. It's either because Essbase really isn't running, Essbase agent is not listening on the default (1423) port, the server name you provided is incorrect, or the server name cannot be resolved from the point of view of the EAS server.

  First of all I would like to confirm you can access the PROD Essbase server just to confirm that it's upward (since it's the Prod, I guess you know if he wasn't running...) using for example MaxL, SmartView or the Excel Add-In.

  Then try using the IP address of the server rather than the server name when you enter the details in INJURED.
