  I don't think that you can install by dragging from a backup, you must install actually using the Adobe installation

  Sign out of your account... Uninstall... to run vacuuming...

  Thanks Pat. I was able to solve the problem.

  Operating system is Windows 7 Pro, Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.0.07.

  I went into the properties file where I've identified that users only have read & execute and read properties, I changed the properties for everyone to full control. Which corrects the problem.

  I don't know how the properties changed to just Read & Execute, but there was an automatic update the previous night.

• CS6 on Windows 7, when I try and send my project Adobe Link, then I still repeatedly get the error message "still has stopped working, windows closes the program.  I get the same error message when I try and open again on its own.  Help Woo

Looks like you've done a lot, and you could try to reinstall and update at 06. Manual updates can be found at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows.   I checked your account and nothing seems to be broken with your Acrobat Pro subscription. You launch Acrobat on your desktop? If, for any reason, your subscription returned to the mode of trial, I expect that you would be presented with the dialog of the trial. In this dialog box, you should be able to click on the license for the software, then log in with your Adobe ID and password. If this isn't the case, please let us know.
