I have fonts on PC. ID say they are missing

I have IDCS6

I have a document ID say that andale Mono and various Futrua fonts are missing. I have the fonts on my PC.  What I've tried so far is to put fonts in the fonts of ID folder in the folder program files. They are still missing when I open the document years says will substitute for the default font.

So, how can I get ID to recognize?

They may be a format other than those used in the document. You can use find a font to make the substitiution for versions you have installed.

So, I was organizing my import file location by placing them in a subfloder under my pictures instead of directly under my pictures.  Lightroom 3 now says that my files are missing, and I can't change them.

I would like if possible in this new location where the list under my images was about to be very long.

    Thank you

Always use Lightroom to move your photos, or he will lose the track where they are.

Now you can move only by using the icon in the images or the line in the file panel.

Yes! Microsoft never does such calls.

It's a scam and with all the names and phone numbers, one who has
    become very frequent lately. See

In addition to their money get on your part to do anything of any value,
If you leave them in your computer, who knows what they were doing or where
    What confidential information they stole.

So if you have done so, I highly recommend that you do both of the following
    immediately:

1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.

    2. after reinstallation of Windows, change all your passwords.
especially one of the banks or other financial sites.

Since they have perhaps installed a recorder of strikes, changing just your
Passwords without first reinstalling Windows may not be good enough.

  • I get calls from a company that says they are MS, is - a scam?

I get calls from a company that says they are Ms.  (last 4 times) they said that my computer reports that I get errors, and they want to use the observer for the team to go into my computer and help me. Is it a scam?

    Hello Margaux.730,

Yes, it's a scam. Do not give them access to your PC, they will try to steal personal data such as bank details etc. When they call again just tell them you don't have a PC or simply hung up. Never provide personal details or credit card number because they are also after the money too.

Unless you have a prepaid contract or have opened a support ticket no Microsoft will call you about your PC problems.

  • I received recent phone calls from someone who says they are with Microsoft

I received phone calls recently from a person saying they are with Microsoft and that my computer has been downloading unnecessary files.  They claim they know because the error and warning messages are sent to the Inbox of Microsofts.  I am reluctant to talk more with them.

How can I be sure of who's calling?  In addition, if it is true, how can I check my computer?

    Hello

Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

    Please see:

    https://www.Microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.

These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

They are * not * Microsoft. This is a complete scam and one that has become very common these days. Do anything they tell you to do and hang up on them.

I have two Acer Aspire laptops.  They are totally frozen because of the virus.
I lost the recovery of Windows Vista Ultimate Edition disc, where to get a replacement.
I have to rebuild my laptop.

    Hello

No - what are the two Acers come with a recovery disk?

If this is not the case, one of them would have a recovery partion, which specifically is to reinstall the operating system on it.

With an Acer, you press Alt + F10 at startup to start the recovery process.

All data are lost when you do the above.

And for the lost disc, contact Acer and ask them to send you recovery disks.

They do that for a small fee:

    http://us-store.Acer.com/RCD/

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

  • Remote site will not show the local updates although CS5 says they are successful?

Hi, local changes I save and put it in Dreamweaver are not displayed on my site online. My server connection works, Dreamweaver says they are successful, the changes appear when I preview them in Dreamweaver, I tried both update a single page and throughout the site, and I tried to transfer files manually using FileZilla. No idea how I can get my remote site to update?

Using CS5, using SFTP (host site says to use SFTP), OS is Windows 7, using GoDaddy to get a custom url that redirects to a different host site.

Are you sure you are uploading to the correct location?

I've seen it happen where people accidentally put up their site in DW with an additional and unnecessary directory level. Uusually called htdocs, bands or public thought they need to duplicate the folder root of the web server. When they try to download in their folder root on the server the additional directory is copied on as well, so instead of finding your page to...

    www.yoursite.com/index.html

    He's going to...

    www.yoursite.com/public (or htdocs or webs) / index.html

EDIT: The fact that DW and Filezilla are apparently download but page is in some sort not updating could also be a cache problem simple browser. Clear the cache of your browser and see if updates made.

    Hello

    It's a scam.

We have all the errors and warnings in our Event Viewer

But NO error message is sent from your computer to anyone.

Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.

You are the only person who knows if you gave them remote access.

If you gave them remote access and you do Internet banking, contact your bank, to explain, and change passwords.

If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.

And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

And Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.

Can move you to a new Windows 7 computer

If it's a full license or upgrade retail - Yes. You can move it to another computer as long as it is installed on a single computer at a time (and if it's a Windows 7 Upgrade version the new computer must have its own XP/Vista license qualification). The previous installation of Windows 7 on the old computer must be formatted or deleted. You will have to perhaps call Microsoft and explain what happened to complete activation. Turning it on the second computer will automatically be in effect 'disable' the license for the first computer. The key works with 32 and 64 bit, but can only be installed at a time.

If it's an OEM license - don't. OEM licenses, including Windows preinstalled on a computer before purchase and Windows purchased separately, are related to the first computer, they are installed on and cannot be transferred to another computer. To install Windows on another computer, you will need to buy another copy.
