I have the basic family Windows Vista Edition key which is on the side of my computer but I can't reinstall it because I don't have an installation disc.

OK, I got Windows Vista Home Basic on my computer and my hard drive crashed while I do not have the recovery partition. The key is always on the side of my computer. I wonder how I can get a basic Windows Vista Home Edition installation disc without having to purchase and any other key.

You don't have to buy another license.

How to get Vista recovery Media.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
  • Legality of the basic family Windows Vista Edition installation of Windows 8
    I have an OEM version of Windows Vista Home Basic (legally bought). I can install it on one new PC (other than the one on which I installed for the first time) and upgrade to a legally purchased the retail of Windows 8. As far as I know, the OEM licenses are tied to the first PC where they are installed. So is it legal according to Microsoft to use to upgrade to Windows 8 on another PC.
    Any useful response will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much.
    You can buy a copy OEM System Builder of Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro that look like copies of detail and includes the rights of transfer to a new computer or motherboard.
    In addition, you can buy recently 8.1 for Windows or Windows Pro 8.1 update retail copies which are actually full versions.
    Hello
    You need to update the drivers.
    This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:
    This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:
    -Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
    each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
    version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html
    For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
    Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
    video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
    cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
    This will refresh the driver stack.
    Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
    own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.
    Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
    (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
    updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)
    Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.
    Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
    because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers to do this, in particular) so install
    a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.
    Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.
    Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
    Hello
    You can use this Recovery Partition to reinstall Vista to his new condition with the right edition of Vista.
    This recovery partition was photographed on your hard drive by HP during the manufacturing of the factory.
    You press F11 on startup to start the process of recovering back to factory settings.
    Here is the information about HP.
    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?DocName=c00809678&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&product=18703
    If the recovery partition is damaged, you can buy HP's Vista recovery discs for a small fee.
    If HP's Vista recovery disks, you may need to try this instead:
    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
