I have to keep the thumbnails, previews, and masters in my iphoto library?

Hi, my macbook air is quickly running out of memory and I can't seem to find an answer to my question... I have 25 GB of masters, miniature 5.7 GB and 2.4 GB of previews. There are duplicates of records? If so, is it safe to delete them?

I like to keep my library on my macbook, if anyone has some tips on how to optimize space for photos I would appreciate it a lot!

Thank you

Malena

Yes, they are all necessary, no, you cannot remove an any of them, and if you don't you will damage the library.

So, once again: no duplicates, nothing to delete.

That answer your question?

Your options are

1. move the library on an external drive. The easy way to do that is to get a small flash drive and leave it permanently attached to your Mac,

2. get a bigger internal drive.

That's all.
