Issue of HD Codec IDT Audio Glitching

I just purchased a DV7 4045ea and have had many problems with the sound, causing usually skip and stutter in Skype/ventrillo and games (and including Starcraft 2). These requests when jumping and stuttering occurs it causes a massive load on the processors at the same time. Skype/vent is similar to CD audio to skip. In games (sc2 is my main game) the result is a stuttering game when an audio effect is read, if I turn off the music and effect of the background of the problem are less frequent. If I play music the game stutters all the time.

In fact, that Norton has reported several times that anything that uses the audio device is causing excessive load on the processors, as well as audiodg (google, a lot of probs with her new vista) was once a cause of the load.

Now, it's interesting, if I play SC2 tab on so he always plays to the screen (ie the lappy still plays the graphics and game engine) but the audio is not, the processors in charge going straight down.

I did regular proposed tasks are:

Updated all drivers through HP assistant

Manual update of windows and the device drivers audio BIOS and graphics card.

Disabled the sound improvements on reading devices (which was a common problem in Vista)

Restore audio drivers (currently my system has all the latest however)

The returned driver updates now seemed have aggravated the issue! Even if I use SC2 for example, please note this happens with another application its just SC2 is the easest for me reproduce the problem on.

After that some research it seems that a lot of people with the IDT audio device high definition have similar problems. One common difficulty is to allow windows to use the generic drivers. However if I remove the driver, windows just reload the IDT codec, if I stop my just audio devices are not recognized. If this can be the solution for me or not is another issue, I suppose.

Please, if anyone can help can they advise me because its makes me round the twist! I feel aggrieved that a laptop computer £ 1000 performs worse than my old man of 300 pounds (who plays SC2 and aeration/Skype with problems what so ever).

The one who can get me a fix wins a bar free March!

Hello, in our society we use much Latitudes E5430/E5530/E6430/E6530/E6440/E6230 and most of them running Windows 8/8.1 x 64 with no problems.

One of our colleague with strted Latitude E6230 of problems with its IDT recently. However, there is no audio output to speakers or headphones. Even in the docking station. Drivers are correctly installed, Windows don't you just play the sounds.

The first solution was to uninstall the IDT sound card, reboot, reinstall, reboot and it worked. Now, this no longer works. I booted Linux Mint Xfce 16, sound works fine under linux, so it should not be hardware problem.

BIOS is the last, so are pilots IDT directly from Dell. IDT is give any supported, so its place at Dell or MS.

Anyone has stumbled across it? Im a little unable to solve this problem. Realtek USB sound card works fine.

Reinstalling Windows is not an option, which would take much more time, everything else works fine. Motherboard has been replaced in the past due to problems with docking connector. I think that is not however make the motherboard.

Here are a few screenshots, sorry, they are in our Czech tongue. Drivers are correctly installed several times, depending on the device Windows is running fine. Windows Media Player cannot read mp3 or anything like that with her because he walked into the problems with the audio device.

Speaker configuration does not play the sound test, absically "couldn't play test sound.

Thanks in advance for reading and tips!

It doesn't seem to be a problem with the IDT driver, so probably something to do with Windows. But if you want, you can try the native audio driver for Windows. If the E6230 still has the same symptoms with the native driver then certainly not the fault of the IDT pilot.
    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press ENTER).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "IDT High Definition Audio Codec".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart

Good, it helped actually, because there were two audio controllers. Was IDT Audio Codec and second was generic 'audio device High Definition Audio' so I installed the Windows driver generic Audio Codec IDT Audio Codec. After the reboot, there are two features high-definition Audio and sound works! Jack detection works also greatly.

Thank you wery much for this entry!

  • No sound, probably due to IDT Audio Codec

There I s no sound on my laptop. The speakers are on, Windows said that they are working correctly. All volumes are high, the sound is not muted etc. But I have no sound anywhere. I uninstalled the drivers on IDT Audio Codec, reset values in my bios to their originals (if they are not first). I've been running the windows audioplayback diagnostic. Moved back to the old version of my registry but nothing seems to work.

I've been through this forum and did what some of the recommended people, but still it does not work. Although windows shows that IDT Audio Codec works fine, I get an errormessage is not able to play the test tone (or is the translation from Dutch). Also, Windows Media player does not work and falls to me on the page with the error C00D11B1. Playback of a DVD does not work. And when you try to update the driver IDT Audio Codec, it says it's updated. Also put all the settings of the sound (as sound to the standard settings).

I think I deleted the driver when clean with CCleaner if that is probably the reason. Also after checking with this forum, I launched two driverpackages SP59291 and SP6355, but unfortunately they did not work, and they probably have not the right version for my installation. Alhtough the letter of the two has brought back windows system signals to start etc.  The current version of the driver is 6.10.6329.0. I checked the site to find the specific version for my HP laptop, but couldn't find it, no matter who any idea what I could do? Thank you very much!

  • IDT - Audio - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC-updated, problems with the audio

I recently installed successfully IDT - Audio - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and after that none of my audio worked. Everything indicates that the audio is working as usual, but no sound. Also, when I did a test "sound" in the control panel > sound, it is said "the test could not be played. (Translated from Finnish Windows Vista, but anyway). I went to IDT Audio settings (from the bottom right icon) and noticed that my headphones and speakers had been cut so I removed the 'secret' of these two, but nothing happened. I tried to restart the computer several times and recheck the IDT Audio settings but nothing found which could cause the problem.

    Hey Andyy27,

My HP Support Assistant tried to make me update this driver I have the computer in mid-August.  Same thing; whenever I have install the driver, there is no sound either - I have not known what you mentioned above on the sound slowly disappears.  Thahaseena, good to have you hear.  I am running Windows 7 family on a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC.  After installation, there is no request to restart or stop to install updates; my sound card lists an error and I have to roll back the driver to make it work again.

My driver date is January 13, 2010, version 6.10.6265.0.  It's one that I continue to back and it works.  I will install the update now and tell you what I get for audio driver is not working.

The properties of my IDT HD Audio CODEC says:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

You must restart your computer before the changes made to this device will come into force.

New driver that disables my sound: June 17, 2010, version 6.10.6289.0.  Well now, it asks me to restart, but I'm not having good hope... will write if this time it solves the problem (4th time charm?).

  • No sound. Problem of audio codec IDT high definition.

    Hello.
my system is DIMENSION 9200/XPS 410
I just installed windows xp sp3 and noticed that there is no sound. I went to the Device Manager and saw this:

uninstalled the driver, rebooted the pc. start a "found new hardware wizard" popped up and I used automatic settings recommended for her to find the required driver. This was the case, the installation went, saw a back of screen with 'enabling' peripheral audio... written and then it crashed with an error:

then I tried to do the same thing several times. is went to the dell website, downloaded the driver chipset for my system, installed, did a reboot, installed the audio drivers for my system in the dell Web site. Restart PC - nothing. Still no sound, the same problem with the audio codec IDT high definition remains.

    Any suggestions?

  • IDT Audio Codec time Sound speakers but not with headphones on ENVY DV7 series laptop

I bought my laptop not more than two months ago. Its perfectly played through my helmet literally the day before yesterday.

Only two changes have occurred since then, first of all I accidentally plugged my headphones into the external microphone jack, then I updated the 'Music' for Windows 8 PC application.

After my sound stopped working. I restored my PC to a restore point dated before its no longer works in my helmet, however resonates once again that in my speakers (when my headphones are disconnected). When I plug my headphones, sound no longer plays in my speakers but no sound from my headphones either.

How can I get audio to play through my headphones?

Product name and number: Envy of HP dv7 Notebook PC C2h74UAR #ABA

    Operating system: 64-bit Windows 8

Changes: 1) update "music" app for Windows 8

    (2) accidentally plugged in headphones and external microphone jack

    Hello

    Try the following.

First of all, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 8

    When reinstalling, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

IDT Audio Installer - Windows 8.

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio with headphones.

  • Jump in the middle of an audio track streaming on various sites causes the stuttering and audio glitch

    Hello

Please refer to this thread for support on the technical support of SoundCloud forums. The thread contains all relevant information, including videos of the screenshots problem and console, made by myself and others. https://www.soundcloudcommunity.com/SoundCloud/topics/skipping-to-the-middle-of-a-track-causes-stuttering-and-glitchy-audio-chrome-Firefox

In short, when you try to move forward for streaming audio, there is a memory buffer/stuttering problem that prevents a correct reading of the track. This problem is confirmed on SoundCloud and Traxsource and other people in the support thread mentioned Mixcloud and other streaming sites. In other words, it is not the special streaming service fault or another.

The problem does not occur in Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer or Chrome. Well, to clarify, when the issue was published on SoundCloud support forums, Chrome was having the same problem. However, they made a version a few days ago thrust, that fixed it.

Here's my original on the SoundCloud support post (less), which has the relevant details. Note that we have updated both Flash and Firefox recently, so although I have mentioned earlier in my original post, everyone involved has since updated their browsers and Flash.

From now on, the only solution for the problem is to go back to Firefox 40.0.2. Thanks for any help =)

    Matt

    Original message =.

Jump in the middle of a track causes the stuttering and audio glitch (Firefox).

I am running Windows 10 Pro.

There seems to be a problem of caching that affect reading - I started noticing this problem three or four days ago. Previously, I could jump through my feeds at will, go straight until the middle of the tracks or mixes of listen seconds and determine if I liked the track. Now, I can't do it on Firefox 41.0.1. The problem is simply annoying on songs that are 3 or 4 minutes in length, as I must leave "cache" maybe ten seconds before jumping. Unfortunately, the problem is a game-breaker on mixtures which, for example, are 90 minutes long. If I jump to a point directly in the middle of the combination, nothing happens. The play button alternates between the 'Play' symbol and the symbol of 'Caching' ('... "), and so audio resumes, it is glitchy and consists of different parts of the track being played at the same time.

I've eliminated my internet connection as the source of the problem by loading on board. On the edge of 20.10240.16384, the problem does not exist. I can scroll down to any mix of 2 hours in my stream, click on the middle of it, and the audio starts right up. No caching, without stuttering or glitching.

I drove back Flash version 18 to see if it solved the problem in Firefox, but it did not. The problem persisted, so I re-updated to Flash 19.

Yes, I understand how all versions and updates to work. I meant it as a generation of powder magazine. My bad.

I consider this problem to be solved. Several different pre-release versions of Firefox have solved the problem; I have personally used both of them that work perfectly. A representative of Bugzilla stated that the patch will be integrated into Firefox 42, which will be released on 3 November.

  • G71-340US notebook: no sound after 10 Windows free update of WIN7 on a G71-340US laptop with CODEC IDT.

After the free upgrade to WIN7 for WIN10 my laptop has no noise (with internal or external speakers). I tried to uninstall driver IDT and allowing windows 10 to reinstall the driver through scanning for changes of HW - still no sound. I would appreciate any guidance or fixes to this problem. Thank you.

I'm happy to announce that I now have sound on my laptop G71-340US. After that more detailed error troubleshooting I found that there is an application called IDT Audio PC (aka IDT HD Sound) installed on my laptop by HP (OEM), I think. While I don't know exactly what function of this application is, it seems, it is related to activation of the feature of IDT HD Codec drivers. Somehow, I decided to look in Task Manager - startup and I saw this listed IDT Audio PC. I clicked on disable and then a minute later clicked on activate. After I did that, as simple as it seems, I have now heard both internal and external speakers. This is the first time I heard all the sounds since the upgrade to WIN10. I checked several times by re-booting my laptop and every time I now have sound. I will continue to test it through the week and see if it continues to be OK. In the meantime, I thought I'd share this potential fix (or solution) with all stakeholders. Perhaps others will find this useful and give me your comments. Fingers crossed!

PS. BTW, if anyone out there knows what PC IDT sound is by all means share your knowledge. I'm curious why this app appears more often in the forum messages and how it can relate to the WIN10 upgrade. Sorry, but I do not remember what prompted me to look at the task - starting but Manager I'm glad I did. It's great to hear again!

    Hello world

I have an audio glitch issue with my Toshiba laptop.

When you play any audio file off the coast of the HD I mean glitches.

I play audio with the media player through the integrated sound card and...
A Firewire Interface Audio FF400 RME. (which works fine on other computers).
A USB Alesis Photon x 25 USB 1.1 Audio Interface. (which works fine on other computers).

but all still produce this annoying glitch.

Other forums (see below) seem to think it's the fan.

But what anything what is the solution to solve this?

Someone on one of the other forums (see below)

Said that they could not fix it and sold their laptop, I hope I don't have to do that too.

    Hello

I had the same problem with my Satellite Pro A100 - basically whenever the fan kicks inside or outside, there was a glitch in the audio that pretty much unusable laptop for music.

At the end of the day, I followed the advice of Nelucard and changed to MPS Multiprocessor PC ACPI processor/computer on Device Manager driver. I then had to reinstall most of my drivers, but once this is done, the fan has been all the time, so there are no glitches more - at least not once the laptop has heated up to... at the beginning, the fan still comes in and out, but after 3-4 minutes, that's all the time. I can live with that.

It's far from ideal, but in my case it worked and I can now use Reaper, audio streaming and use a load of plug-ins with no problems. I hope Toshiba will come back with a better solution via a BIOS update in the future, but I think that this problem has been known for 7-8 months and nothing has been done so far...

In any case, good luck and I hope this is of some use.

    See you soon.

  • Canon C100 AVCHD audio glitch: help?

I had this problem a few times since I use a Canon C100. Ingestion as a prelude CC, some of the clips have an audio glitch that occurs at a time given in the clip.

    Screen Shot 2015-08-27 at 2.28.06 PM.png

Simply discover the waveform of this clip. The sound is good until just after my current time indicator: at that time, the audio loops on a small area until the end of the clip. It looks like this:

This glitch is consistent in prelude and first.

    Screen Shot 2015-08-27 at 2.33.13 PM.png

I figured that the glitch has something to do with the way the audio is in line. So, I clicked on the video and choose "reveal in Finder". Then I went to the root of AVCHD and double click on the directory by opening the AVCHD in Quicktime files, and then I chose the music video made. The clip opens in Quicktime and fortunately, there is no audio glitch. From there, I was able to "save under" the clip on my desktop and then import it into first audio seedless.

It is a good workaround, but anyone know how I can avoid this in Adobe CC again?

Hey man I found a solution for this.  Basically, it's a problem with how Pr manages your Cache files.  So, basically, what you need to do is determine the file name of the clip that gives you the questions, go in your cache files, delete the PEK and the CFA in the cache that are associated with the file and restart PR.  When you restart, Pr will recreate files the cache CORRECTLY, and your audio files is fixed.

This issue has been ongoing for more than a year!

    Hello

Whether or not you have the "Improvements" tab is down to the driver audio especially is installed - some allow this functionality and some do not.

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55094.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once done, check if you have the tab improvements back.

Note:  If you want the fn + combination B works correctly, you need to download and install the HP Quick Launch bar from the link below.
