I have Ubuntu, you want to go back to Windows 8, advice?
I went from Windows 7 64-bit Ubuntu LTS 13.04 on my HP Pavilion dv6 6185nr (renovated)
I am now looking to switch back. When I got there, the edition of Windows 7 had HP and Beats audio software. Is there a way I can get a copy of Windows 8 HP with software included HP and Beats audio controls will also always available?
I'm assuming that the answer is no, but I want to know for sure before I go buy a copy somewhere.
Thank you!!
Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion dv6-6185nr Entertainment Notebook computer. According to the specification, this model comes with Windows 7 installed at the factory. You can order Windows 7 HP recovery discs by clicking on this link "DVD - SP1 de Windows 7 64 b + Supp 2 Recovery Kit" or by contacting support HP. Sorry, but there is no option to order Windows 8 HP recovery disc for your computer.

I am running vista and you want to go back to Windows XP. How to switch back?
I bought a new hard drive. I installed vista. Which turns out to be is not very compatible with the rest of my equipment. I would like to go back to windows XP and get rid of vista completely. How do I do that?
If you do not have your XP disc:
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send an XP Recovery disk.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
You are doing a new installation of XP, wiping the Vista operating system Partition from the hard disk containing Vista in the process.
Follow the steps below in the link, to do a clean install; read the part where you remove the existing Vista Partition, create a new Partition, format, etc...
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

I have Windows XP 32 bit and you want to get 64-bit Windows 7, how do I do this, 32-bit to 64-bit?
The upgrade to Windows XP?
Please read these instructions carefully and completely before you begin installing Windows 7: there are important steps that you must follow to upgrade your PC from Windows XP to Windows 7 in order to preserve your files and settings.
Before you begin, you'll need to backup all your data to an external storage device, and you will need all the installation discs for the programs that you want to keep. Please make sure that you have an external hard drive (see details below).
More detailed instructions are available at windows.microsoft.com/upgrade-windows-xp. Here are the basic steps.
1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor (winodws.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor) to see if there are known issues that may affect the installation and the question of whether you should install the version of 32 or 64 bit Windows 7.
2 back up your files and settings on an external hard drive using Windows Easy Transfer (windows.microsoft.com/windows-easy-transfer). If you do not have an external hard drive, you will not be able to use Windows Easy Transfer. Alternatively, you can copy the files you want to keep on a USB stick, CD or DVD.
3. you will need to manually reinstall your programs, such as Microsoft Office, after I installed Windows 7. Gather the installation for your programs and all partner/license product key discs. You may be able to download programs from the Internet. For example, Windows Live Messenger can be installed from the download.live.com/messenger.
4. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in your PC. When asked "which type of installation you want. Click on "Custom (advanced)."
5. when Windows 7 is installed, use Windows Easy Transfer to restore your files and settings.
If you are not comfortable Windows 7 installation, check with a local retail or the services of the PC company store to see if they offer upgrade services. Andre Da Costa http://adacosta.spaces.live.com http://www.activewin.com

I want to go back to windows 7
My laptop came with Windows 7 above. I put Windows 8 on it and don't like it.
I don't have a recovery disk... don't think I'd need it :-(
I want to go back to Windows 7!
Do I need to buy this product or is it possibly hiding on my computer somewhere?
Help, please... PS I tried the thing of recovery where you press F11 at startup upward and it did nothing.
You can buy a recovery disk (HP dvd). This would be a specific model. Contact HP or
Go to HP.com support and drivers for your system model. You should have a link to a page to buy a DVD of restoration. This would bring your laptop to factory fresh (out of box condition). The recovery partition has been "broken" by your upgrade.
Last time I bought a DVD of recovery, it was less $20 dollars (US).
Kind regards
Louis

Thank you!
You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 8 have no native driver support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer. If there is no native driver, you will need to consider returning the machine and buying a machine preloaded with Windows 8 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. Or look through the catalogue of manufacturers for systems already preloaded with Windows 7, usually the business sector will have these options.

Return the laptop if it came preloaded with Windows 8 and purchase one already preloaded with Windows 7, they are always available:

* You want to close the current window before going to the url page.
Hello
I use the script below to go to the function of the url in actionscript 3, and it works fine:
btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, e);
function e(e:MouseEvent):void {}
navigateToURL (new URLRequest ("http://www.angelfire.com/in/HisTruth/copyofindex.html"));
}
That is fine, but I want the first window to open and close to the top in its pointing to.
How can I add the correct script for this?
TseyigaiI don't know what you want between the title and description, but try adding _self window argument...

Currently, I have a Mac, version 10.5.8. My Firefox was slow so I tried to download the latest version. When it was downloaded, a message pops up saying that this version of Firefox is not compatible with my system. Well, ' don't quite no fault "I thought and I tired to go back to my previous browser.
But when I went to click on it, there was a large circle with a line through it. I couldn't open anything. Firefox has actually been removed from my computer.
Now it's ok if I can't start Firefox more but I got thousands of bookmarks, compiled over the years that I really want to go back. And I have no idea how to do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.Hello world.
I have downloaded the old version of firefox, replaced the new with the old and boom! They were there!Sorry for the runaround. Just goes to show that you should always have backups for things.
Thanks anyway.
