  • remote access OF can I have 7 home premium to surface RT

    Hi all

I have following a workflow access remotely in my windows 7 Home premium and then got the address of the computer and then went to my RT surface and opened the Office connection remotely, typed in the windows 7 premium address personal and clicked on connect, but it did not work.  Can we with a windows 7 Home premium and a surface RT help me.  It's different with windows 8 and surface PRO so you have these two different computers.  Help, please!  Thank you.

    zutalors

I think you get the to & mixed here, which is an easy mistake to make.

In your open message, you are on your Surface RT, trying to access your system Win 7 Home, correct?

It is a connection to your Win 7 system, not him. It's the Surface. The connection system, you're on (referred to as the customer) to the one you are trying to access (called the host).

Unfortunately, Home Premium does not include the ability to be a host for remote desktop, so you can not connect.

You can probably switch to professional using the Express Upgrade feature, but you will have to pay for it. If it is better to buy, it is to you.

There are other options. You can try Teamviewer, which is free for personal use, and will allow you to access your Windows 7 system anywhere you have an internet connection. Install the program of Teamviewer on your Windows 7 system and follow the instructions to configure unattended access. To make things easier, I would put up a free Teamviewer account.

Then install the Soft Touch Teamviewer on your Surface and connect to your Teamviewer account. Your computer will display available to connect to. click on it and you will be connected.

TeamViewer is reliable and safe, but there is a bit of overhead to connect - this is not quite as sensitive as being actually at the computer, and the image quality is slightly reduced. It is still very usable but.

If you use Teamviewer they decide "too much" you're really a pro after all user and pay you, so it is preferable to the use of the lamp. I use it mainly to support remotely, rather than to access my own computers.

Another option is Splashtop, which also offers a free service, as long as you connect to your own network. They charge if you want to access your computer anywhere, but it's not expensive. I use it to access my system Win 8 Home of my Surface. Its reliability and on a local connection, it's like being at the computer. Its designed for games and multimedia and it shows in the quality of the image and responsiveness.

Yet once you install host of Splashtop on your Windows 7 computer and create a free account. Make sure Splashtop loads at startup - it is an installation option. Then install the app Splashtop on your Surface and you sign in to your account. The application will display your Windows 7 system as available to connect.

TeamViewer both Splashtop are very easy to implement. IMO you can't really go wrong with either - it depends on your needs.

Try them both and see if it does the trick. If this isn't the case, you can always make the Express Pro upgrade.

  • Windows files have been damaged. Do I need a Vista 32 bit repair disc?

    Hello

Our laptop has recently screwed up by a 'technician' and I managed to get it working again, but it seems that some windows files have been damaged or corrupted.

I did the sfc/scannow, and he has repaired some but said that some are not repairable and I tried workaround renaming on these files and it did not help.

In the end, I think that the best option would be to use the 'fix' that I used with previous computers but this laptop had the OS pre-installed.

I tried to use the option via F8 startup repair and, once again, it seems have suffocating somrthing but yet, there seems to be having trust damaged or missing.

I looked on the web of th for repair dics and I'm not sure that those that you can download and burn it to a DVD/CD are what I need as they seem to refer to commissioning repair function rather than in "repair mode" full I thought I had used previously.

Can someone give me advice on how to do it (without return the laptop to factory settings) to try to fix / replace these files corrupt / missing?

Yes, I'm trying to see if someone has a 32 bit Vista DVD disc and I'll try to use it to get the repair feature, but like I said nobody has this disc I know.

Will just persevere with the question and if it gets really bad enough to return to the factory settings.

  • I have Windows Vista Business Edition. What I need to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional or can it be any version of Windows 7?

I currently have vista 32 professional and I want to upgrade to windows 7, I understand that I must use windows 7 Professional

is this correct and just use the regular windows 7 pro upgrade disc?

original title: Vista Business 32 - windows 7

If you want to make a room upgrade, you can use Windows 7 Pro 32-bit - you can buy and use the upgrade version. You can also buy Home Premium, but will need to perform a custom installation.

Then my computer run Windows 7?
Basic system requirements are listed below.  Features have additional requirements.

    • 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x 86) or 64-bit (x 64) processor

    • 1 gigabyte (GB) of RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

    • 16 GB of disk space available (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

    • Graphical device DirectX 9 with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Run Windows Upgrade Advisor to see if there are known problems that might affect installation and if you need to install the 32-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows 7.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/UpgradeAdvisor

    Installation - 'upgrade' means what?
Upgrade means that you can install Windows 7 simply by inserting the Windows 7 upgrade software in the DVD drive of your PC and follow the instructions on the screen. While you are not required to backup and reinstall your files, or reinstall your programs, it is a very good idea to back up your files and settings before you start any upgrade to the software. Get more information on the software updates and best practices .

Installation - what does "Custom (Clean)" Mean?
A custom (clean) installation clears the contents of the hard drive of your PC. Your files, settings, and programs will not be transferred to Windows 7. This means that to install Windows 7, you must:

    • Back up any files and settings you want to keep

    • Install Windows 7

    • Reinstall all your files

    • Reinstall all the programs you want to use.

These four steps take time, skills, techniques and Windows Easy Transfer can help. However, if you are not comfortable with this process, please consider having the installation carried out by a local service provider.

  • Windows Vista Edition upgrade Home Premium Windows Vista Business

    Hello

I recently bought a HP Pavilion dv6 1199EE laptop and it has a version of Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 system Type 32 bit installed.

Now, I want this transition to Windows Vista Business full Edition without formatting & reinstall OS because I don't want to lose the features & programs came with the lap top. I would buy the Windows Vista Professional with the product key on the local market in my country.

First of all, I want your advice what is the best Vista professional should I buy?

Second, what are the professional measures to update without formatting the hard drive of my laptop?

    Concerning

    Mr. Sayadi

You cannot upgrade Vista Home Premium to Vista Business.

It is not a Vista upgrade path.

You have clean installation, back up ALL your data and reinstall all the programs.

    Upgrade paths:

-of Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate.
-from Vista Home Premium to Ultimate.
    -from Vista Business to Ultimate

And there's no. Vista Business Ultimate version.

You will need to purchase a full version of Vista Business and do a clean install.

OR buy a Vista Ultimate upgrade version and do a upgrade.

If you do an upgrade to Vista Ultimate, it SHOULD be with a 32-bit Ultimate Upgrade disk.

There is only a single company of Vista, but you can buy the full version 32 bit or 64 bit OS and do a clean install...

All depends on the amount of RAM for the need to use.
