  No serial number only is provided with Creative Cloud Desktop subscription. If you have a student and a teacher subscription, you can simply navigate to cloud creative for office and download the Desktop Application on your new machine. Products is enabled once you connect using the Adobe Id that you used to subscribe to Creative Cloud subscription.

  Your use of the word "files" (in the plural) still makes me believe that you have not checked the permissions on the folder that is appropriate (in the singular).

  You must determine the Destination of the Lightroom Import dialog window Panel and see which folder Lightroom is really tr6ing to copy photos in (which may have been accidentally changed and is not what you may have used in the past) and change the permissions to write to this folder.

  With regard to transfer photos goes, which is something you could get help in the forum of Photoshop Lightroom .  But you could wait here and see if anyone knows, or you could search Google and probably know how.

  Photoshop CS5 (as well as the versions of the other Adobe Creative Suite 5 applications) are not optimized for the retina on your new computer. They never will be updated.

  You must purchase a subscription to applications of creative cloud or Photoshop CS6 to get support for the Retina display.
