make a boot disk

I'm doing a startup disk, a boot disk.  I have several disks usb, 1, 2, 3 TB, or I could use a flash drive, if he stands on a 32 GB flash drive, that is.  I suppose that it wouldn't be as people online sell everywhere to help people who find it difficult to install el crapitan.  Many of them must be as one of the amazon sellers showed 4000 available: 39 left.  Ouch.  I can't el crapitan to install to save my life.  It crashes, never works.  The importance of the support of apple is suggesting that I say 'Yes' when I start, as I have to "accept" the agreement from apple before, even though I told her is not the problem, she sent me a book of instruction page three on how to start el crapitan and to proceed with the installation, you have to say yes, and you will need to acceptt their agreement.  Yes, I did.  no problem with this part.  but it's that the things she and the two girls before and both were subsequently in the same boat.  Mr President, let me send you instructions on how to download it.  "No, I say, I did.  Do you really think someone is struggling to push a button that says "download?  Obviously, Yes. because she sent me instructions, once again, no joke, on how to push the button so he can 'download '.  Complete with how to do it with your finger and how if you have a plug in the mouse, with a separate section if you have a wireless mouse.  Hell me silly.

O.K. HELP!  El CRAPITAN won't complete the upgrade process.  Please tell me if it takes normally 8 to 12 hours on your systems.  I guess he was hanged and killed the process.  rebooted, retried... same thing.  anything after 12 hours or more.  Yes, I used the pad on my Apple Macbook Air 11 '', i7, 4 GB ram, 250 GB SSD.  I do not use a wireless mouse.  I have not used a wireless mouse.  I did no harm to press download, and after I did, it succeeded because it was changed to read "DOWNLOAD"... "If there are employees of apple here who have not... so much worse.  If you work for Apple, leave, just freaking leave I have no more time or patience for you.  Just trust me the O.K. FREAKING the COMPLETE DOWNLOAD.  O.K.?  Because it gives an error message when I tried to install from the same disk.  Then I tried to install it from a second disc, a key USB WD 3 TB.  Seems to hang.  (Tell me whether I should WAIT WAIT 15 HOURS OR MORE for the thing to check.)  Anyway, it does not work.  So I found a TON of entries, some are already selling thousands of them, for small usb thumb drives flash of various sizes, called the STARTUP disk, so...

I guess el Crapitan must be installed on a PARTITION AMORCABLE where in the CAR.  Something that it would have been so freaking sweet if they would have SAID THAT SOMEWHERE some TIME no matter WHEN IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PACKAGE ON THEIR SITE.  OK, so I think I ned a diskette formatted in some way.  Me color cheap, stupid, whatever.  But rather than buy on online at Amazon, I thought how hard can it be?  I can do it.  Big mistake.  Create a disc a disc of starting, or bootable used to be in the old days an easy as pie thing...

However the Apple support site, helps him terminal programs, man pages diskutil, the program Apple accessories disk utility supplies, NOT HAVING ANY HELP DRIVE of FILES THAT BOOK REFERENCE, START UP DISK or any combination of the same, you know... How can you, how can you do a... whatever.  nothing. isn't there.  And here, in the consumer help pages.  No messages that are either.

It's not rocket science.  It can be done.  How to make a boot disk?  How to format a disk a bootable floppy.  or a book drive, no matter what.

And if y ' All are Apple support staff, and if you tell me that I pressed the wrong download button or I pulled the single button in the wrong order... I take my mac to a shooting range and shooting it be shot to pieces and displaying it on iTunes.  And never, never, ever, buy a mac or an apple anything.  , so, this whole experience has soured me I could never do that either.

What do you know?

  • I have windows xp and need to make a boot disk for my cd how do I do it?

Trying to clean up old computer which has windows xp now it does not start at the top. Is there a way I can download a recovery disc to reboot the system, then reinstall windows? I have another computer with windows xp can I use it to create the disks?

To reinstall Windows, you need a Windows XP installation disc.  There is a CD bootable you can create that will allow you to make repairs or backup your data to an external hard disk such as BartPE , UBCD4Win, Hirens Boot Diskand some "Live Linux" free of the such as Knoppix and Ubuntuboot floppies.

However, most of the OEMs have a recovery partition which will restore your machine on the condition that bought.  When you first start, look for a message on the screen telling you to press a key to retrieve.  It passes quickly, then you should look for and press this button quickly.  I hope this will solve your problems of re - install.

I built an emergency recovery boot disk using MAKE PE3 - 48 and P Start to enable the use of portable programs after booting into the recovery environment. I have used with success of Firefox Portable till and including version 28.

All portable versions since then up to the last 35 Version will not start. All display the error could not load XPCOM.

  • 23 - k027c: ERROR: no boot disk was detected or drive failed

    Hello!

    My computer

HP Envy tilt 23-k027c TouchSmart all-in-One desktop PC (energy star)

These latest OS Windows 10 (update of Windows 8, which was preinstalled on the computer at the time of the purchase in December 2013)

    Intel (r) Core (TM) 15-457OT CPU @ 2.90 GHz

    Processor speed 2900 MHz

A few days ago it started showing blue screens of death with a PAGE_FAULT_in_NONPAGED_AREA note all other hours, or sometimes 3 times per hour.

I went through all the troubleshooting process, finished with a bluescreen debugging possible analysis demonstrating that the ntoscrnl.exe driver might cause the blue screen issue.  And on the morning of the next day my computer greated me with a black screen with an ERROR: no boot disk was detected or drive failed.

I can still get into the BIOS by pressing ESC at the present time of HP sign appear early attempts to restart.

BIOS indicates that the hard disk is detected (yay!), so it is not the source of the problem.

Memory and disk test went well passed, PASSED tests successfully.

Pushing ' restore the original and exit "in the bios does not help.

Nothing else works. Only these two ESC and F10 keys.

How can I fix the system?

I don't have a HP with PC Restore disc when I bought it. Site Web of HP didn't kits of restoration for the moment.

    What to do?

    SOS help, please!

It is the computer that I use for work and personal use. There are gigabytes of photos of my family, as well, who desperately, I don't want to lose...

I'll be super thankful for all reasonable advice and direct instructions!

The ' ERROR: no boot disk was detected or drive failed. "  May be a simple solution to redo the botmanager file.  This normally requires a bootable DVD with the repair function or a USD bootable with windows and repair function.  Windows 10 is installed, this would be my choice getting either the drive or the USB key.  HERE IS THE MEDIA tool of M$.  Make the work of another PC, DVD or USB and then - on PC - start problem that media and choose repair when loading of the POPup screen.  DO NOT install.  If you install it, it will eliminate your data.

BTW: 10 Windows is installed, the HP recovery disk will return the PC to Windows 8.

  • Z220 CMT: firmware Win 8 factory 7 and install new boot disks (RAID 1)

My Z220 came with the copy of Win 7 Pro/64-bit factory-loaded, lowered to win 8. The supplied HD is just a Seagate 500 MB to 6 MB/s SATA drive.

I want to change my boot disks for a pair of WD series RE 1 TB disks in a RAID1 configuration.

The 220 came with a series of restore disks: disks of recovery system 1,2 and 3 for Win 7 and a DVD of recovery Driver for WIn7 and WIn8, as long as the DVD of the operating system - Windows 8 Pro.

So, if I install the pair of RAID array using the Intel RAID software, can I then use CD Win7 game to restore the Win7 system to the new RAID array? Is there a potential problem of activation here?

My other idea was to use Clonezilla to clone the current Win7 system on the RAID array, but I don't know if it will work, as the discs in question are not the same...

If you look at your partitions on the disk HP of the computer/manage/storage/disk management you should see a hidden partition which you can draw the active OS itself and also to make an installation USB or CD/DVD set.  But you already have those in hand, I believe.

The restore thing can be confusing.  What I would do, is get a stunt or set of disks drive and start experimenting.  One of the disks is an "Activator" disc which you start with, and it gives you instructions as you go along with a clean installation, including installation RAID or simple installation on hard/SSD options.  Just keep your 500 GB out of the workstation and work with the readers of stunt.  For those, I liked the 80 GB WD Velociraptors... two correspondent off eBay are cheap, and they are quick to reformat/load/erase.  It will start to make sense fairly quickly.  For RAID works, you can experiment on 2 160 GB drives, but a full install of W7 with Office 2007 is less than 45 GB.  You just start from this first optical disc and start digging.

The thing about the COA... When you perform a clean discs HP restore, as if your HP hard drive has failed, the process puts on a HP OEM COA serial number that is different from what is on your COA sticker.  For example, you can clone a facility and it will work on an another Z220 CMT without activation.  It checks only the BIOS of the workstation to make sure that it is a legal installation.  If you try the same thing with a W7Pro64 OEM System Builder build the clone will work but will recognize that this isn't the same job that it has been installed on original and you give a few days to feed another series of COA number.

A clone must come from the installation of restore HP OEM with the internal controls of HP and OEM HP serial number to make it work on another box without activation problems.  Stick to right side of things and you'll be fine.

  • HP Pavilion TouchSmart 23-f202: no boot disk was detected or the drive failed

On startup, I get the message "no boot disk was detected or the drive failed.

I bought a new H/D, installed and at startup I get the same message that I got on the old H/D.

As there was no disc provided with the computer when I bought what I'm doing, had to do to get this sucker to the top and work?

    Hi @Jimmy56,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that you had a type "no boot drive has been detected" error at startup to the top, and you have replaced the hard drive and have the same problem. I'm happy to help you with this.

If replace you the original hard disk, you can use the following to test the hard drive. It is possible, there was a connectivity issue and just re-allocation of places the hard drive could make a difference. Computers HP - display of error HDD before starting the computer

The most recent hard disk you put in, if not there was no operating system installed, you'll get the same type of message. You could make the same diagnosis of HDD from the link above, just to make sure that the disc is good.

Please let me know the results, but so just install the original in the system hard disk works, and it starts correctly, so please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Boot disk failure

From the windows, the following message show:
    Boot disk failure

You have a diskette in the floppy drive? If so, take it out and restart. Is everything is OK now?

You have a CD in the CD drive? If so, take it out and restart. Is everything is OK now?

If the answer to the above two questions is 'no', then your computer is not finding the files of the operating system on the boot device, usually a hard drive. Check if your hard drive is in the BIOS. Otherwise, you can turn off the computer, unplug the unit and make sure that the cable from the drive to the motherboard is sitting comfortably. Do the same for the power connector. If re-connect these cables does not help and the drive is still not detected in the BIOS, pull it out and test it in another computer. If he is not seen there, he died. If you can see here, test as described below. If the drive is detected in another computer and tests fine, then the connection of motherboard on the original computer is bad. According to the motherboard, you can sometimes put the HDD on another cable, but it is a sign that the motherboard is a failure. If the computer is old, it is usually not cost-effective to replace the motherboard.

  • NTLDR compressed no boot disk

NTLDR compressed press ctrl + alt + delete to restart_but loops when you press... .i have no boot disk, the machine is a mark of iquon four years, if anyone can help please!

How do you think that happened?  Did you compress any file?

I hope that your system has a CD/DVD drive.

You can unzip the file ntldr (or remove the compression attribute) you make using a bootable XP Recovery Console CD.

This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.  If you don't know what kind of bootable CD, you, do a CD of bootable XP Recovery Console and do not forget.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use this free and easy program to create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

RC allows commands the base - copy, rename, replace, delete file, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

Place in the C:\ directory and then remove the attribute "compressed" C:\ntldr file as follows:

At the C:\WINDOWS prompt, enter the following commands:

    CD.

    attrib - c ntldr.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.
