  It's a pretty good trick, considering that charmap.exe is one of the files that Windows File Protection is supposed to protect.

  Do a full disc search for charmap (without extension), making sure to look into the hidden files and system.

  If charmap.exe is not in C:\Windows\system32 (where it belongs), he probably is not in C:\Windows\system32\dllcache (where it also belongs).

  Yes but it depends on no doubt what application you use photo editing I guess. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements and I can edit directly on the map of the camera if I want and download images to the iMac or elsewhere. I just did as a test on the card from the camera, but normally I upload the images on my desktop first and then go from there.

I thought to go to the nearest Center of HP and get my trackpad has changed. But the thing is I lost my warranty card. I checked my warranty status and it is valid until the end of this year. But I don't have any physical evidence. What am I supposed to do? Thank you.
