I lost the google search bar

I lost the little google search bar located on the right side. All the previous suggestions do not work.

You have removed the buttons on the Navigation toolbar by accident.

If you right click on an item to toolbar in normal mode (non-personnaliser) mode, then you can remove this item from the toolbar.

  • "Remove from toolbar" will remove this element of the Navigation toolbar and moves it to the palette to customize (Firefox '3-bar' menu button > customize)
  • "Go to the Menu" will move this point '3' dropdown menu Firefox button bar
  • "Move to the toolbar" in the "3-bar" Firefox dropdown menu button will move that point to the toolbar

You still have the Navigation bar with the visible address bar?

  • The Google search bar is more related to Google, then when I try to search something nothing happens.

The Google search bar in the top right contains more the search engine Google. I tried to add it by going to Google.com , but when I tried to add it, it does not recognize something to add. I also tried to go through the list of search engines provided by Firefox, but there is so much of different created by so many different people, I had no idea that who to choose.

Click the arrow on the search bar and use the option "manage search engines" then use restore defaults, which include Google again in the drop-down list, and if you click on google it will become the default search engine.

on most of the pitchers, to move the widgets, hold on them. However, on some launchers, the google widget cannot be moved by normal means. You can install a new launcher in the app store, like this.

  • Remove the Google search bar of about: newtab page

It's maddening, and why users don't upgrade their software. The 3 latest updates of Firefox have caused many to not open in Firefox https sites, but they work fine in Internet Explorer. Lowering the TLS settings in topic: config from 3 to 2 fixed prior to version 31.0

When defective to fix today after the upgrade again, I became suspicious of Kaspersky and disabled who solved the problem of https. I'm still confused on why the Firefox upgrade resulted in Kaspersky blocks the application of any suspicious activity however. I think it's connected to the strange/unexpected uses of DNS server settings or a proxy.

To add insult to injury, I now have a highly UNDESIRABLE Google search bar in the top of my topic: newtab 31.0 version page. Why? Who thought it was a good idea to Mozilla?

If I wanted that Google (or any other search engine) to see each search query, that I come home, I set this as my home page search engine, or to drop Mozilla completely and use Chrome. When the Mozilla developers add this unwanted code in their browser, they are essentially removing the attractiveness of using it in the first place. Today, it is a loss that I spent all day playing with it.

Again, this is why people don't IMPROVE not - this 'upgrade' has messed up my browser just as much as any virus has never.

Thanks for the suggestions. I use the version of Kaspersky called Endpoint Security company and after much digging, I found a solution here:
    Kaspersky and Firefox SSL Bug

The fix requires submitting a support request to patch pt133 in KES 8.1.0.1042 - the previous version of KES 8 (v.8.1.0.831) must be upgraded before you install the patch.

In regards to the search bar, which gives a box to check or uncheck the box for this unwanted feature would be more diplomatic, but thanks for the workaround.

  • How can I get rid of the google search bar? I don't want google

My browser is set to duckduckgo.com , as is the search bar on the top left.

When a new tab is opened, there will be a google search bar in the middle of the page. I want to go Google.

Is there a way to get rid of him. I don't want anything to do with Google.

Can you give me instructions on how to get rid of it. I found the google.com/firefox and thought I might be able to remove it from this way, but it will remove Firefox altogether?

    Let me know please.

Here's how you can reset which appear in a new tab. If this setting does not stick, one of your modules could be replacing it.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search box that appears above the list, type or paste newtab and make a break while the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.newtab.url and enter the desired value:

    • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
    • Blank tab = > subject: empty
    • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
    • Any other page = > full URL of the page

Press Ctrl + t to open a new tab and check that it worked. Fixed?

  • Can not find the google search bar to change the search on my home page engines

As I said above, I don't know why I can't find this combo on my MSN with Firefox homepage for the ability to change search engines. I had been doing network search more which I think is a third-party program probably from my old messenger more but I deleted it and there are still times when I search especially when it private so I thought that if I went to him and removed from the drop-down list, I would like to be rid of it. I can't find this low google drop list to this; However.

If you click on Delete on the shortcut menu, and then you remove the item from the toolbar and move the palette to customize.
You can open the Customize and drag the search bar on the Navigation toolbar, or even to the '3 - bar' list drop-down menu button Firefox.

    • Firefox '3-bar' menu button > customize
    • View > toolbars > customize
  • After the update, pressing enter didn't work more to go to a URL, nor does in the Google search bar thing.

Pretty much what is said. I've updated to the latest Firefox, and now this really irritating thing happens... There are also a lot of places. Specific things:

    • By clicking on the address bar of all, does not bring the thing little cursor flashing and gives me generally no indication that I actually clicked on the URL. Even with this small google search thing in the upper right corner.
    • More frustrating, when I press on enter after putting in a URL, it will not even go to the site.
    • After having upset both of those things, I try to type something on a Web site, and although the URL is immutable, it starts to fall a lot of suggestions from my story.
    • Finally, when I'm doing my crosswords on the Washington Post, and I switch to a different tab to type something on there, it is not pass my typing thing - it remains on the crossword, typing things into that, rather than in the input field, I clicked on start typing in.

So, Yes, it's very embarrassing, and I'd be delighted for all the help for these issues...

I look at the FAQ and they said something about the thing AVG SafeSearch, causing one of my problems, but I do not have this extension, this certainly isn't that!

You encounter this bug that will be fixed in Firefox 10.0.1, eventually published later this week.

  • When opening new tab I'm headed to Google, but the cursor remains in the address bar. Anyway to automatically move the cursor to the google search bar?

Thank you in advance. I upgraded to firefox 4, and since then, I had a problem. When you open a new tab, I chose to be directed on google.com. In the past my cursor automatically went to the search bar on this page when I open a new tab. After the upgrade, the cursor remains right in the address bar, but I would like it moves automatically into the bar of google search on the page. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks again.

    What extensions do you use?

A new tab opens by default like a Virgin tab (topic: empty).

If this isn't the case, then an extension has changed this behavior.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • How to get back the google search bar to the main screen?

I moved my google search to another screen and don't know how I did it.  I need to know how to return to the home screen?

Long, tap it until it vibrates and then drag it to the screen you want to move.  Bring the far edge of the screen, as your finger will go.  The next screen should come into view with the widget and then you can drop it where you want.  Make sure that there are 4 empty spots horizontally on the screen that you are moving.  This widget requires the entire line on the screen.
