Outlook Express 6 - 0x800CCC0E Error Message When you try to send or receive mail
Hello, can someone give me help with a problem I have with OE6.
This problem happens only from Sunday 15, prior to that, everything worked fine. I get the following message about the ports 25 and 110 - no, error Socket Error: 10061 no 0x800CCC0E - OE does and cannot send or receive mail. It occurs if the computer is put into Hibernate, or place on hold in the "users" page If it is paused extended or put to sleep while it is connected on all works OK, however if you switch to another user OE does not allow and the message appears. If the computer is rebooted then the user who connects to the use of EO but others do not. I checked on the Microsoft Update site and they seem to blame programs like Norton etc. anti-anti-virus/spam for the problem or parameters of EO, but as there has been no change for the last six months in my computer why this suddenly start to occur? I wonder if recent updates, I've had the 12 might be the cause, because I had the problem with dll error that has been corrected with KB935448.Any help would be appreciated, because it becomes a pain to have to keep restarting the computer!
Hello from the display of my request, I had correspondence with Symantec, which enabled me to improve Norton 2006 Norton 2007 version 2 with a pack of free upgrade, that I was a current subscriber. This solved the problem I had, so I'm in him passing just in case someone else out there is having similar error messages. Post edited by: Jimbo180649

Try a test message with Norton shuts down completely. If it works, remove Norton and do a custom Setup, opting out e-mail Scanner when it is offered. Sometimes just turn off is not enough. -

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

Outlook Express 6 - can receive messages but not send - error number: 0x800CCC0E
Original title: Outlook Express 6 - can receive messages but not send
I recently installed SP3 on my Windows XP machine and installed Internet Explorer 8. After that, Outlook stopped mail (still receives, if) and gave me this error message:

I tried everything but reinstall Outlook Express. Is there a compatibility issue with IE 8? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello
Your ISP, who runs the mail server, can provide port numbers and other settings. Pages of help/support of the ISP may have this information easily accessible.
The other common cause of error 0 x 800 is safety programs - an antivirus program scans incoming or outgoing e-mail, or a Firewall interferes with authentication.
Hope this helps,

I readt through this channel and have tried most of the things listed I have Norton System works 2009 I tried it is installed and uninstalled as well.
I'm running out of ideas?
I tried port 25 (which works on another PC) but on this one it is not.
I tried the 587 port not working either.anyhelp would be greatly appreciated

I guess that your problem is with the reception, because the error message you have provided relates to the reception.
Ports 25 and 587 do not affect receive it, because they are for the shipment. The error message is difficult to assess because you x'd, one part of the name of the server. Perhaps the error is in the part "xxxxxxxx" to the name of the server.

Windows Live Error 0x800CCC0E, socket 10013 error
I use Windows Live mail for months and suddenly can not receive or by e-mail. I'm getting Error 0x800CCC0E, socket 10013 error ID. I don't think that all the parameters have been changed recently. What motivates this error? This computer is home and cable? If so, this is the e-mail scan probably the cause. According to your AV program, you may need to reinstall.
