  • Driver for hp business inkjet 1100 Series, Windows Vista home Premium x 64

I recently bought a Dell Studio XPS laptop 1640. It has Windows Vista Home Premium x 64 operating system. My hp business inkjet 1100 printer series will not be installed with the hp installation CD. I need the correct driver. Apparently, hp does not offer one for Vista x 64. Is there a generic driver available that will do the work?

HP provides the drivers for their products, not Microsoft.

I'm sorry, but the above is the info provided by HP.
Try the info provided by HP. as their workaround, the link above.

If HP does not write drivers for their product, you're out of luck.

  • How to get a disc from Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit after I lost mine? I product key for it, just need to drive; How to do it?

I currently have a HP with Windows 7 on it. I want to wipe my hard drive (a full cleaning) and start again. I have the product key of Windows Vista Home Premium for a 64-bit computer, only to have not only not the disc. Recently, I called HP to get a new, only for them to tell me that they cannot help me because my warranty has expired... Is there somewhere else I can go to to get a disc without key on this product? I just need the diskette. If anyone can help me please, I would be very grateful. Thanks :)

    Hello

You can't reinstall Vista on a recovery partition you have installed another operating system

    read this:

Solve a common problem of recovery.
If the original operating system is changed to a non - Vista OS, the Recovery Manager cannot be launched either office or by pressing f11 at startup. You can use the recovery disk to restore the computer to the original state of Vista. If you are using a non - Vista OS, you can use a third-party partition management program to recover hard disk space.

    ________________________________________________________

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

you say, that they will not!

    ________________________________________________________

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • Cannot access the calendar from Windows Vista Home Premium all of a sudden... get error message indicating it is disabled... Help, please!

After 1 year with the help of Windows Calendar on Vista Home Premium, I'm suddenly not able to use it (impossible to add new appointments and stored all appointments have mysteriously disappeared). I get a message saying "You cannot add appointments to a calendar that is disabled" the details of State "access denied." ... How is - it happened 'out of nowhere '? How to activate it? It's very frustrating... I searched the forums and Microsoft google the question. I found some results suggesting to either change the registry or download the fix automatically and manually merge in my registry. I tried both with no result. I have event tried to remove the old calendar and create a new one... still nothing. Any suggestions? Help, please!

    Hello NYintelligentinvestor,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

Sorry, you have a problem with that.  What type of entry you are trying to add?

Look at the calendar and on the left side, to half way down you will see a small block that will have something like "NYintelligentivnestor schedule" - there is a small block to the left of this one. To activate the calendar, click on the box to place a check mark in it.

If there are calendar shown in this block, then go to "file" on the main toolbar and click on "new calendar" - one should then appears in a block with a check mark in the box on the left.

I hope this helps. Please let us know status.  Thank you! Engineer James Microsoft Support answers visit our Microsoft answers feedback Forum and let us know what you think.

  • Do you need to partition the hard drive to install Windows Vista Home Premium?

I try to install Vista Home Premium on a Dell XPS 420 desktop computer and want to know if the hard disk must be partitioned before that I can do?

If I need to, how to do?

    Thank you.

You need at least a partition on the hard drive before you install OS, using management of build-in the windows disk, but there a lot of limit, if it could not reach your goal, you could use the 3rd party freeware

    2. I paid for and had unsing McAfee Total protection very well with my Windows Vista mail (there's a firewall question, but I've always protected). However, I tried the Norton On Line offered free of charge through my Qwest and he made my system slow. So I had McAfee Norton to uninstall and reinstall McAfee., now I can not launch Vista Mail. I keeep can't initialize x 0 80070002 undesirable and can not find the file MSOE. DLL. my computer has enough new hard drive (10 February) and I have a lot of space. I can't believe in the back upward in my c: drive there is no MSDOE. DLL in the many files there.

    Can anyone help?

This error message is a catch-all message remains Windows 98 and is not accurate.  McAfee and Windows Mail are not compatible.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 , you need to delete completely McAfee and Norton from your machine.  Download www.microsoft.com/security_essentials which is much less invasive and also get antimalware (www.malwarebytes.org).  Once you have done this, compact and repair the database with my Windows Mail utility (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  Then open Winmail and remove your e-mail account and then close and compact the database to delete the account information.  Open WinMail, and then add that account back again and things should work fine then.

  • Is there a form ANY of PhotoShop software that I can buy/download on my computer Windows Vista Home Premium?

Usually I am well aware, adobe does not support Vista.  However, I need PhotoShop to continue my work off campus during an internship.  I honestly don't care if it's CC, or elements, but I need a program that allows me to edit the photos.  I don't want to jump the gun well and buy some CD or download software that ends upward is not compatible.  I apologize if this is a strange request.  If someone asks me why I still have Vista, the answer is essentially:

    (1) there is a computer for 5-6 years and this is the program it is came with, at the time (and that I'm used to)

    (2) as a student at the University, my biggest fear of switching to Windows 7 or 8, it's that they are not "user friendly" as some people have placed (even once, student here so the LAST thing I want is not being able to find all of my documents... my father is currently having this problem with Windows 8)

    (3) I'm not too keen on the upgrade to Windows 7 or 8, unless it is a last resort, AND I must not copy everything on my computer on a hard drive and then move it to after the upgrade (I'm not that tech savy so I fear, I will mess something up)

I apologize once again if it seems strange or anxious about me, but I really want to continue to help the teachers at my school buy work on this project (they already deal with issues of setting up the MAC it to work with the new website).  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  • How to add the DVD RW drive in the Menu "send to" in Windows Vista Home Premium

"I can't copy a document or an image on a DVD or CD because the ' send to ' ' menu does not have any CD or DVD drive.

No guarantee... but the following article may be worth a visit:

The CD drive or the DVD drive is missing from the shortcut menu "send to".
and in the tab property by car after you erase a disc on
a computer that is running Windows Vista SP2 or Windows Server 2008 SP2
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/974913/en-us

FWIW... it may be worth trying to add a shortcut to DVD - RW drive
    in your folder "send to."

    See the following link:

Customize the Windows 7 or Vista send to Menu
    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/customize-the-Windows-Vista-send-to-menu/

To create the shortcut... go to... Start / computer... right click
the drive letter of your DVD - RW drive, and then in the menu
Choose "create shortcut". The shortcut will probably
sent to your desktop. By dragging the shortcut to your ' send
To ' file should add the disc menu.

    Good luck...
