Internet mail and Windows Vista Home Premium w/Sp2

1.I have tried all Microsoft Automated trouble her and read the answers on how to not fall just to "blank page" in Internet 8. This centers (page) an auto fix seem to only place I can.

2. I paid for and had unsing McAfee Total protection very well with my Windows Vista mail (there's a firewall question, but I've always protected). However, I tried the Norton On Line offered free of charge through my Qwest and he made my system slow. So I had McAfee Norton to uninstall and reinstall McAfee., now I can not launch Vista Mail. I keeep can't initialize x 0 80070002 undesirable and can not find the file MSOE. DLL. my computer has enough new hard drive (10 February) and I have a lot of space. I can't believe in the back upward in my c: drive there is no MSDOE. DLL in the many files there.

Can anyone help?

This error message is a catch-all message remains Windows 98 and is not accurate.  McAfee and Windows Mail are not compatible.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 , you need to delete completely McAfee and Norton from your machine.  Download www.microsoft.com/security_essentials which is much less invasive and also get antimalware (www.malwarebytes.org).  Once you have done this, compact and repair the database with my Windows Mail utility (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  Then open Winmail and remove your e-mail account and then close and compact the database to delete the account information.  Open WinMail, and then add that account back again and things should work fine then.

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.
Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

If you have authorization and security problems, check the following settings.

Point to a folder that wants to share do right click and choose Properties.

    In the properties

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

I WANT TO UPDATE WINDOWS VISTA HOME BASIC, WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM TO MY NEW LAPTOP TO MY OLD LAPTOP.  Can I update my laptop which has windows vista home basic service pack1 installed using my laptop which has windows vista Home premium service pack 2 by using a transfer program for example windows easy transfer? HOW CAN I DO THIS?

    Hi ronnieVron,

Your copy of Windows is only allowed for 'a machine If you want to put Vista Edition home premium on your 'old laptop"you can buy a new copy of Vista premium. Another point is that copies of Windows was probably preinstalled on your laptop, which means that, putting license on one side, your copy is related to each specific laptop and so, because the copy is related to the material on each laptop, you would have problems on other transfer machine. Anyway you could invalidate your Windows license.

  • update of Windows vista home premium w/sp2 kb978207 IE8 for vista security update problems

I finally understand exactly update has been the cause of my problems with my laptop could not complete the startup after installing an update.

System: vista home premium w/serv pack 2
    Antivirus: Avira
other notable programs: itunes, roxio creator media, Skype, messenger, yh, IE8, msn messenger

I tried several times to install IE8 KB978207 update without success. The last time I tried it, he first gave me an error code of 8024200d, then I reinstalled it. I finally understood by installing the updates one at a time which caused my laptop to not be able to run the start afterreboot after you install updates. I end up having to run the diagnostic tool for starting and when it finishes, I check the error log and it tells me that the reason that she didn't was due to a patch, then using the advanced features to restore my system before installing KB978207.

Does anyone have a solution to get this installed correctly?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit and I get this pop windows window advising me "TCP/IP Ping command has stopped working". I click on "check online for a solution", but there is no charge and disappear. I still have the problem, and it's very irritating. How can I remedy outside junking my Tower and buy another?  Thanks for any help on this.

    Hello

1 did you change on your computer before this problem?

    2. when exactly you receive error message?

You can follow the methods and see if it helps.

    Method 1
Use the PING command to verify that TCP/IP is working properly. To do this, ping the loopback address (127.0.0.1) by typing the following command at a command prompt:
    (a) click Start .
    (b) in the search box type command prompt.
    (c) right-click and select run as administrator of .
    (d) type ping 127.0.0.1 and ENTRY.
If you receive the response of 127.0.0.1, it means that TCP/IP is configured correctly.

    Method 2
Check to see if the problem exists in safe mode with network.

Start your computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Method 3:

Alternatively, you can try to reset TCP/IP and then check if it helps:

How to reset the Protocol Internet (TCP/IP)
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/299357

    Method 4:

I also suggest you to download and run the latest Microsoft Scanner on your computer and check to see if it helps:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    1. do you get an error message when you receive the message that Windows is unable to connect to windows mail?

The only way to disable the Windows Mail in Windows Vista is by political group. Group Policy is not available in Windows Vista Home premium.

I ask you to perform a clean boot to verify which application trying to start Windows Mail.

  • Bottom loading and use of the licensed version of Windows 7 instead of the licensed version of Windows vista Home premium on acer ferrari laptop

I use an Acer ferrari laptop model with windows vista home premium OS. I would like to know if I can do the free download and use windows 7 instead of windows vista in laptop (I understand that there is a similar model earlier). The laptop is used entirely for personal use @ home, not for purposes of Trade/office.

Windows Vista is to give a lot of problems even with installed virus scan software. It is slow and gives challenges to the use of household memebrs.

Many offered computer manufacturers free updates from Vista to Windows 7 on computers purchased during a certain period of time, but this time with the supply have long expired.  There is no such offer to download/update free available anywhere.

  • Validation in Windows Vista Home Premium at the start: errors and complications.

I was directed to this forum as a last chance for my situation.  I'll copy what I wrote before:

First of all: I can't run Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool.

With that of the road, I'll try to explain my situation.  Earlier today, I ran in the hope to get rid of some unnecessary files in disk cleanup. Well, he eventually delete most everything out of my C: drive.  So I ran a restoration of the system to an earlier time.  After the restoration, I tried to connect but received a box saying that my Windows Vista Home Premium product key is not valid.  They gave me three options:

Reduced functionality mode (does not work; see below)

    Enter the product key

Contact HP - do you have this: they wanted $ 100.

Now before to get started by offering suggestions, you need to get more information.

I can't use the reduced functionality mode.  When I click on it, an error with file not found window appears.  The only way I can access my desktop is by going into safe mode, and I can't go in safe mode with network.  So based on this little bump in the road, I was not able to use the tips I found online, because none of those working in safe mode.

Now there is more.  Frustrated, I tried to follow guides anyway.  So I followed the following steps:

    Step #3 game

    (1) open Internet browser

    (2) Type%windir%\system32into the browser address bar.

    (3) find the CMD.exe file

    (4) make a right click on CMD.exe and selectrun as administrator

    (5) type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you are sure, click Yes)

    (6) type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing

    (7) type: Rename tokens.dat tokens.bar

    (8) type: cd %windir%\system32

    (9) Typenet start slsvc

    (10) type: cscript slmgr.vbs - FLIR (it may take time for this will be complete, please be patient)

    (11) restart twice

Not only that not solve my problem (since I was in safe mode I was refused permission), but it has created a new problem.  Now when I start my computer normally, IM is more given three options (reduced functionality mode, enter a product key, contact HP).

Instead, when I log on, an error pops up saying: "Insert the Windows CD or installation DVD into your computer to begin the process of resettlement." Now, my computer was shipped with windows and everything installed by the factory with the sticker on the side of the tower.  I have no Dvd or Cd.

I've had this computer for almost 3 years and I can not lose what I have on my computer. I have a genuine copy of Windows.  I have no idea what I'm supposed to do now.

    I used these links:
