I'm runninh of windows 7 on CAREB dot 2 who is GREGservice?

Google is your friend.

GRegService (Greg_Service) - Acer Incorporated - C:\Program Files (x 86)------eMachines\Registration\GregHSRW.exe
It is a kind of Global registration by Acer Inc. Service. It is not a registry of Windows or service process. It is probably more for the registration of the computer or a particular product. Mainly used in Acer computers, but also frequently found in gateway eMachine computers, as well. It is a legitimate file / service... If you need it, is a subject of debate, but should not ask your question (s).

  • Cannot find Windows 7 download online - anyone know who I can buy it from?

I want to buy windows 7 online, so I've upgraded to vista, but the MS store does sell online more. It is said that it can be purchased online "in certain countries or regions" - anyone know where? It's really frustrating.

Unfortunately, Windows Anytime Upgrades are no longer available, you can do are more updates of the existing editions online.

If you are running an earlier version of Windows or Windows 7 and you want to upgrade, you will need to purchase a retail package.

For the upgrade from previous versions of Windows (XP, Vista)

Where can I still get Windows 7?

    Full version-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

    Full version-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate

    Full version-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Professional

    Version upgrade-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Professional upgrade

    Version upgrade-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade

    Version upgrade-

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade

    Family Pack:

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack (3 users)

You can also use the product key of the packaging of the retail to do anytime upgrades of an existing edition of Windows 7 to a higher edition:

First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option to enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 edition when asked, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to the edition of Windows 7 your files, programs and settings retained.

  • (Legitimate) -Pop-up Windows every time you start Firefox

So, lately every time I start Firefox, the new browsing session retrieves the pop-up windows during previous sessions (since the last time or even some of love it, three days ago), I long closed down. My boot option was always "show my windows and tabs from last time ' who used to do exactly this: pick up the tabs I had open or start with a new blank tab if I had opened. Now, however, whenever I open FIrefox I get different windows of previous sessions.
The problem here is that this doesn't SEEM to be a malware issue because I don't get weird ad/questionable windows but "legitimate" pop ups I me remember I started personally is to say a photo or an image of a trusted site that opened in a new window or a help section on amazon.com , etc.
This is a first and as you can imagine it has become very annoying. I use Firefox 25.0.1.
    Any ideas? Thank you!

Hello waydown, maybe the files in your profile folder that contain session restroe data was corrupted - perhaps trying to remove them, so that they can get regenerated properly next time: go in firefox > help > troubleshooting information, click on file/show profile folder and close all firefox windows later. a windows Explorer window should open up - in there remove all files starting with sessionstore ...

  • Personal hotspot USB modem Windows 10 & iPhone 6 s more does not.

    Hello

I'm unable to use my personal Hotspot via USB with my iPhone 6 s more and Windows 10.

Personal hotspot works via wifi, iTunes can recognize my device and windows Explorer.

When I turn on personal hotspot via the usb port on my phone though, Windows network is not picking it up.

There is no new detected internet connection.

I think that it is a problem of driver under windows 10.

No matter who ate any ideas on how to fix it?

I've done several reboots of both phone and PC, plus an uninstall, reboot, reinstall iTunes

My personal hotspot stopped working completely immediately after the 9.3.1 update on my 6s +. It does not seem to have any correlation with Wondows 10. I use my hotspot everyday for businesses, and it worked fine (though often wayward) on Windows 10 with iOS 9.3. Often it took to turn the hotspot on / off several times before that Windows recognize it. I get nothing now when I allow it. No blue banner high and certainly no link available with Windows 10. It seems that Apple has missed something again. I was curious, able to get yours you worked?

  • Microsoft Office 2013 is compatible with "Works for Windows.

My new pc is Windows 8.1 Desktop, HP Pavilion 500 series.  My aging XP pc has work for installed Windows I used since 2000 and who has all my files and a very useful database. This has been used for the execution of a small family business and all files are very important. How to install these old files and database on my new Windows 8.1?

I recently installed on this new pc HP Office 2013 Home & Business that I find very complicated compared to Works for Windows, which I understand is no longer available (such a shame because it was a brilliant program!).

In addition, anyone know if there is a dedicated database within 2013 Office Home & Business for the names and addresses and mail merge?  I can't find!

It seems that the XP machine has become a glorified weight and should be removed.  Disk drives fail, problematic USB and no internet access, indeed, it became useless and your knocking you head for anything.  Maybe time to change.

There would be a way to recover your data by converting the external hard drive on a hard drive where you would be able to transfer.  See this:

  • Can satellite L50-B-1 p 1 ODD broken - I switch to Windows 10?

    Hello

I got a new Toshiba Satellite laptop last Christmas and in the month of August, I dropped it!

Basically, he fell from the arm of the couch when I used it. The only damage that I could detect was the CD player door opened and when I tried to close it is stuck fast centimeter about half to be fully closed. As far I could see everything worked perfectly, and I rarely use the cd player, so it was a problem, I could live with.

It was a couple of months. Since then, I've noticed a couple of small glitches when using the laptop - mainly File Explorer crashes out when I try to sort the photo folders. I had no chance to try to correct this problem with the help of internet forums - the problem could be a result of dropping the phone, but there seems to be a bug and others had met too. Then I started thinking that maybe a window refresh or upgrade to Windows 10 could help.

It's then that I found another problem that indicates more damage I had at first glance - the laptop is no longer recognized my drive optical cd. No icons anywhere and no sign even of all the drivers in Device Manager does not. I did a scan on the hard drive, but it does detect no error - I guess it could have been some if the HARD drive has been damaged by the fall.

Even if the laptop is still under warranty from the manufacturer, I'm guessing that damage from falling is not covered, and repairs etc would have to pay for. I am reluctant to pay for the repairs, a car that I don't need.

So I'm looking for a little advice really. The the bottom line is - I just really need to the CD player - I can re - install all my software from the HARD drive or the web and apart from that, I'm probably not need again.

So I can only do a refresh Windows 8.1, or even go directly to the upgrade of Windows 10 or either of those who will store up trouble in the future given the hardware not recognized?
Is it possible that one of these actions would actually recognize the optical CD drive and re-install again?
There is always the physical problem of a CD player door that is stuck. I don't need in this player, but must it be fixed before the update or upgrade?

My apologies if this seems very naïve, and I thank you all for your time and your help.
    Kind regards
    Sharon

Just checked on this post earlier today and does not understand how I posted it in the Forum series has. Please ignore here and I'll transfer Windows 8.1 forum, that I hope, is good.

  • "File permission error" during deleting files on Windows 7

    Hello

I'm running Labview 2011 and have an application that has been developed to run on Windows XP. The part of the application deletes a file from the System32 folder, and then replaces it with another version of the same file (based on a specific condition). It worked perfectly on Windows XP. Now that I've migrated to Windows 7, I changed the path to access the SysWOW64 folder, where now stands the same file. Now when I run the program, during the phase of elimination, I get the following error:

    Possible reasons:

LabVIEW: File permission error. You do not have the correct permissions for the file.

When I try to manually delete the file in the SysWOW64 folder, I get a popup to confirm the progress of the removal. The file is then deleted.

Is there anyway that I can get permission to delete the file is automatically? I also tried to use the "Set permission" VI with the permission set to 511 (octal 777) but that VI also threw up the same file permission error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Arun

Try to run your application with the option "Run As Administrator".  Windows 7 is very restrictive on who can do what.  It's generally a bad idea that requires deleting file to a system folder.  I think you should consider using a temporary directory to avoid this problem.

  • LaserJet 4050 TN: Laserjet 4050 works only with Windows 10

Printer is no longer working and says error. I can't find the printer or add it. It is connected via USB to parallel.

If it is a straight conversion cable, this will not work.  Windows 10 has no included drivers who can level down the transmission.

There are cables that have a processor built into the connector plastic (side parallel port), but they must be installed before you connect the printer.  If you have this kind of cable, remove all and remove software.  Reset.  Go back and install the cable first.  You can tell if this is the kind of "first install" by connecting it to your PC and he asks if you have a disk or you want to use Windows update.

Your best bet is to pick up a used card network Jetdirect 620 on Ebay for about $40 and pluc it in your network.  It will then work.

  • No driver for Windows 8 for Radeon HD 7670 M

    Hello

I recently bought a HP Pavilion 2305sq G6. It has an integrated graphics Intel HD 4000 and a Radeon HD 7670 M. The problem is I can't switch between the two graphics cards using the catalyst. It will not automatically be. I have windows 8 because that on the HP site it is not all drivers for Windows 7 for this model of laptop. Please tell me if it is a common problem, I heard that it has not been yet published a pilot good windows 8 for Radeon HD 7670 M card.

    Thank you.

    Hello:

HP consumer notebooks are supported only with drivers by HP for the current operating system (Windows 8) implemented.

Customers who need to use other operating systems should buy a professional notebook that normally offers support for older operating systems.

You can find the W8 graphics driver you need on the link below. You cannot use the drivers directly from AMD.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-113258-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=4132&Product=5354931&sw_lang=

You're lucky I know a model that has the same hardware as yours and also has W7 x 64 drivers.

All drivers W7, including graphics (7670 M) will work on yours.

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5279072&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=5262606&swLang=13&TaskID=135&swEnvOID=4063#11360

If you decide to install W7, first make sure your set of recovery disks because once you install W7, the recovery partition no longer works.

Please, try the following suggestions to see if the problem can be solved:

2 copy and paste (or type) the following command lines in the Notepad window:
