Hello BARTONHILLBUM
You need software to do so. Sometimes, this software is on the CD that shipped with your printer.
Optical recognition of characters (OCR) program is what you need. Something like
OmniPage
ABBYY FineReader
I don't know any good ones that are free.
Check the software on your printer installation CD.

Im trying to publish a document that I create on Indesign, but when I push producer Folio he takes me to the Adobe web page and tells me that I don't have a folio. How can I fix?
Check if you have created a folio in offline mode (appears with the icon of the computer/processor) to Panel Builder Folio in InDesign?
Or folio is created under a different account in Panel Builder Folio.
If the Folio is Offline: connect on Folio Builder Panel using the producer identification information Folio, folio offline select and click Download. Now, you will get this folio in Folio Producer and would be available for the publication of too.
For more information, see https://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/help/create-folios.html#folio_builder_pan el_overview
If you are connected to the Panel Builder Folio under a different account: share folio with desired edition account, after the folio appears below the post account. Now, either you can publish or create a copy (to control properly), and then publish the copied folio. Digital Publishing Suite help | Creation of folios

The top cover does not stay in place, trying to place a document on the scanning of glass plate.
If not held with a hand he's going to slam closed.
Y at - there a setting to make the lid to stay until my document is placed to be analyzed.
I'm not placing books or strange shaped items on the plate scanning, only flat documents.
If we're not careful the cover (which is heavy) will be slam down and hit someone's fingers or hand if not aware of this problem
HP notified, they informed me that they would send me a replacement printer. The springs in the upper lid has failed or missing. Even if it took 2 phone calls and more than 2 hours on the phone, I guess it was worth it to get a replacement. It is due to the arrival on 12/14/15

How can I edit documents that I scan
I analyze the documents for the Church and now I have to revised and change some things, and I can't. I already bought adobe
Hi Olga,.
I can understand your concern and will guide you in the right direction.
After scanning the document, you will need to run OCR (Optical Character Recognition tool) so that Acrobat can recognize the character & reproduce in order to make editable.
Please see this KB document for steps to resolve this problem: help Acrobat | Analyze the documents in PDF format
You can also refer to this video tutorial: https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-do-i-edit-text-in-a-scanned-pdf
Let me know if you still have issue or have any questions.
Kind regards

I tried a ton of help from older suggestions. I can't find a cure for this problem for Firefox 7. If I can't make it work, I have no choice but to use the hated IE.
I would like to remove the add-on downloadable in PDF format that is listed in your contact information. (It gets terrible reviews.) Then, it should be possible to install Adobe Reader as default PDF application in Firefox options. And maybe the Adobe PDF plugin will be able to work again.

I need to edit a PDF document that has been digitally signed.
can someone please help with this question
When you sign or protect or drive enable a document, it is very important to separate the signed copy and keep the signed copy as well and not signed. Changes revert you to the original.

Printing of documents that contain the letter and legal-size pages - Laserjet 600 M602
We have a printer Laserjet 600 M602, that does not automatically select a tray to print every time someone tries to print a document that contains the letter so many pages of legal size. The default printer for the Tray 1 (Manual power) and the user will have to walk over to the printer and the printer to select the correct tray. I went in the printers settings via the web interface and I set the tray settings to the following: Tray 1 - any Type of Size/Any, bin 2 - letter/plain, plateau 3 - legal/Plain and it still does not print correctly. Unfortunately for the printer settings, it was on that I'm comfortable doing. I read the print driver may have changed, but we use the driver included with the disc and I guess that it would be sufficient that this driver. Does anyone know of some setting that I might be able to change the printer or if it is indeed a print driver problem? Any comments would be appreciated.
Thank you
I was able to receive help this morning from HP support. He turns out, there were two things that I needed to change. The first is that when printing from a pdf file, there is an option in the print area for "Choose paper according to the size of PDF page source" and the second thing, it was with the printer printing preferences. In the printing preferences, under the "Printing shortcuts" tab, the paper Type has been set to Prepunched. We changed this Unspecified. After making these two changes, the user is able to print correctly in the printer.

I'm trying to create a PDF file with several signature lines in that anyone can "Sign" by using their digital signature CAC (Common Access Card) active. The goal is to have a single document that people can open, sign on a designated line and save the document (replacing the existing document) and close. Then another person can open the same document digitally sign another area of the form, save it, and close it. So on, and so on. Is there a way to do this? At the end of the day, I would end up with a PDF file with literally hundreds of signatures to enable different ACC everywhere...
I don't understand what the problem is. In the post of the davidr96549424 on May 8, 2015 07:58 you presented a structure of a correct document. Is the issue of the creation of this structure in a PDF file? For this, you will need an Acrobat, not reader.
XI in Acrobat, select Tools-> forms-Edit. Click 'No' on the form fields 'detect '. In the tasks Panel that opens, click on "add new field". Select "Digital Signature" and move it to the location in the document where you want to than the appearance of the signature to be. Repeat that for signature fields as you want. Users will sign by clicking on the prepared unsigned signature field which shows the dialog box "sign. Do not forget that as TSN has noted that a digital signature applies to the entire document. The entry in the document where it is is irrelevant. Each next signature covers all previous signatures.
Your users can also sign a document from anywhere that they want without signature fields already prepared. For this select fill & sign-> work with certificates and the type of signing you want to sign up with. A dialog box that will tell you a rectangle for the appearance of signature rises and after you draw the rectangle of the dialog 'Sign' rises.
PDF/Acrobat doesn't have a limit on a number of signatures in a PDF document. But! Don't forget that when you open a PDF file with Acrobat/Reader signatures valid all of them and takes time (several seconds - until 10 - for every signature), so if you have several signatures of dozens of their validation open can take a long time.
I don't know how build you your workflow so that each person signs the same PDF and saves it. Economy runs on the same computer where the PDF is stored. You'll have to decide how to allow different people to have access to the same PDF. They, of course, you may sign this only one-at-a-time PDF.

I tried to insert a password to protect a document that I send. He told me to add a service that I paid for. I'm still not able to protect document and install a password. I went to tools-Protect but he always tells me that I have to pay for this service after I did. How can I add a password to open my document?
Hi cj47163119,
You need Acrobat application to secure your document with password. It seems that you use Acrobat Reader.
Acrobat Reader is a free service and do not have this option.
If you have Acrobat subscription, you can download it here: Download Adobe Acrobat products. Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X
For more help, see this KB doc: Security with passwords, Adobe Acrobat PDF files

I'm trying to sign several documents and I have my saved signature under "fill & sign" the organization that generated the forms highlighted the signature lines and when I try to put my signature, it is pushed outside the signature.
Hi katepell,
You can simply drag the signature to the desired place by holding it with the mouse.

After the update, I lost a large number of documents that I had edited and saved in my tablet. No possibility to recover them? Now I can access only the documents of the cloud.
I found an easier way to recover the files: I connected the tablet to the computer and then open the download-> Adobe Reader folder. There, I found all my files.
After this boring experience, any recommended rather than Acrobat Reader PDF player?

The Adobe instructions say to save the book by clicking on the preview, then dialog box Create Book, then name the book and click on create. Whenever I do that I have a new name in the Panel on the left for photos with nothing in it. I'm frustrated... Please help. I don't know that I'm doing something stupid.
