  As far as I know the latest version of the BIOS for Satellite U400-134, which belongs to the PSU40E series is the version 3.50.

• Tecra M5: Double monitors with docking station?

  I have a Tecra M5 with docking station, in the past with other laptops, I was able to hook up a monitor by using the analog port and the other with digital and used both with the screen down.

  This seems not possible on this new, I have options to perform a monitor with the laptop or with a TV screen, but not two monitors to separate whole.

  Everyone was able to get this to work if so how? Graphix is the NVIDIA Quadro NVS btw.

  It is very interesting, but all I know is not possible. I'm not sure at 100%, but for something like that you need a special graphics card that supports something like that.

  The same situation is with my Tecra. But the idea with two external displays is not bad. :)

  Hi, I'm fighting with my laptop trying to restore it to factory settings, my cd player died some time ago and I have been using an external.

  I tried to restart using the recovery disks in the external drive, it starts the process and wants the recovery disk set in the default cd player (one broken), also tried to restart the recovery of HARD drive and receive the same message to put the disc into the cd player?

  I also have a copy of windows THAT XP pro disk so I downloaded a program called wintousb and tried to boot and load a new copy of windows by the usb port, got an error about a missing file.

  I'm about to give up then if someone could help me that would be great.

  One of my friends owns a Satellite U400 and I tried to boot from the external USB CD/DVD drive, but this was not possible. I guess that there is no support on the side of the BIOS.

• External monitor like main screen for M200 with docking station

  Hi all

  I have a Tablet M200 with GeForce FX go 5200. I have a Toshiba docking station and an external LCD display. When it is docked, I would use the external LCD as main display and the LCD builtin as the secondary display. (I want the taskbar, icons and newly opened windows on the external screen when it is docked.)

  Unfortunately, I can't find the right combination of settings of this. If I put Windows to extend the desktop on the external screen, "use it as primary display" option is grayed out. I don't get the span horizontally or vertically options in the nView utility, just the Standard and the Clone (and this only if I do not extend to the office.)

  How can I get the external screen be the main while being the internal school?

  What you are talking about is Toshiba HDMI Control. As far as I know that it is not certain pilot special HDMI but the tool that allows to switch the laptop ON / OFF by a TV that supports the HDMI Control option.

  I checked the news on Satellite U400-12 p and I can't see the info on dough here but the fact is that the Satellite U400 comes with battery 6cells 3700mAh ability. The part number is PA3634U-1BAS/BRS.

  As option to upgrade Toshiba also offer 6cells with capacity of 4800mAh battery. The reference number of this battery is PA3635U-1BAM/BRM.

  So to all options check power options - Start Control Panel System & Advanced Maintenance Power Options > choose a power plan Plan change change power avancΘs processor power management settings.
