  Your laptop comes with a Windows 8.1 key and that's what you bought according to your post.

  You must purchase a license from Microsoft or a supplier activation key.

  I forgot to turn off the product of Creative Suite cs6 my computer before formatting the whole system. I was able to reinstall the product, but I intend to install it on my second computer and I fear that if it is not possible. So, it is possible to disable the product later? I guess that I am only allowed to install the product on two computers.

  You must contact the Adobe Support via chat when they are available and ask them to reset your activations.  Do not ask for something else, or they will send you on these forums where no one can help with this.  Cat isn't usually busy on weekends.

  I had my house computer lock up when installing a windows update and my sister in law pulled the power cord to stop it. When I restarted I got no start menu or other items on my desk. I used Acronis as a backup, for a few years so I thought I was safe make a collection with her. Instead of check my backup file for corruption, I just started the process, and in the meantime, I've eliminated my existing operating system. I can't find my OS drive and wonder if I buy another disk XP Pro, can I get my Microsoft activation number to use the same?

  Thanks for posting. You will need your XP key to reinstall somehow. Microsoft cannot provide you with a new key if you have lost.

  Sorry, but no product key can be given, or are available, free of charge.

  And Microsoft sells more than Vista.

  If your COA sticker is worn:

  You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

  They should do this for a small fee.

  This may or may not work as you have reinstalled, and we do not know by what method:

  And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

  The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

  Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

  Ask them to the proper key sequence.
