• Need your opinion: Satellite A100-049 or A100-998

  I am very close to purchasing one of the above. I know that the 049 comes with Vista, xp support withh 998 which can be upgraded to Vista for a small fee.

  First of all, the 049 comes with 64-bit or 32-bit vista, I can't find the answer to this.

  Secondly, the 998 has a dedicated graphics card, the 049 seems to be more a share. I'm not a player, but you never know. I don't like to burn the dvd, edit some pictures etc. Also abreast of hard drive sizes.

  I found a few pictures of the Satellite A110-153 and in my opinion, the laptop is very nice

  Well, I think, between these two units, there is no major differences. Both units have a size of drive HARD and similar memory. Only the graphics card has other performance. The L20 has a shared memory graphics card and the M40X has a graphics card with the chip memory own 64 MB.   I don't know if you can have the Satellite L300D-11V with licensed XP, but Vista with SP1 is almost as fast as Windows XP.

  It is not easy to be realistic. If you use your laptop for the office and the typical daily activities, it's OK and I'm sure that you will be satisfied with it.

  Maybe you should talk with assurance and ask if you can get the money instead of new material.
  Take the money, put a bit of it, and buy the new notebook with the best material and components as best webcam, harman/kardon speakers and so on.

  I've been using Satellite P500-128 nearly 6 months now and I can say that I am very satisfied. I use it primary for my work by using internet and Microsoft Office.

  When I have the time I use it with Skype for conference call with my friends. Cam functionality and the microphone is just great. From time to time, I watch movies and do multimedia usual stuff like connection digital camera for photo data transfer or movies, burns or copy on external HARD disk or DVD media.

  The performance is really good, and so far I have t did not notice any problems with it.
  The display is optimal. I love this screen 18. The sound is amazing and I can just recommend you to buy this machine.

  It is large enough for laptop and maybe not the best for mobile use, but if you want to use it at home for private use and entertainment, it's really the right solution.
  The price is OK and for the price, you will get a piece of hardware.

  At this point, you're pretty much stuck to a GPU upgrade. You see, that the GTX 560 Ti is not is properly supported in first Pro CC 2015 when it comes to acceleration GPU of MPE. As such, you may experience random program crashes and/or repeated which are fixed only when you disable acceleration GPU of MPE and run first in software mode only MPE.

  The other improvements are out of the question: the i7 990 X CPU uses the chipset Intel X 58 now-seven-year-old, whose native Intel SATA ports are limited to SATA II (3 GB/s or 300 MB/s) flow. All support 3 SATA or USB 3.0 on motherboards that use such an old chipset comes entirely from complement third-party chipsets to companies such as NEC/Renesas and Marvell. And we know how slow the Marvell SATA 3.0 ports work are compared with native Intel SATA 3 implementation on newer chipsets.
