I have never seen it before. can you help me? Thank you very much and it is in no hurry I thought that maybe respond you in the order received. I appreciate your time.  : - )

HI dbarajas,

Are you signed up to receive tips and Adobe Security Bulletin notifications?  If so, who can be the email you received, otherwise, as the Piyush, Flash Player sends notifications by e-mail.

Flash Player is a single universal installer that installs on systems 32-bit and 64-bit.  If the installer on adobe.com site will install Flash Player on your system.

I have used Acrobat Pro DC to embed a video clip in a video and, when prompted, updated my copy of Flash Player to 17.0. Now, even if the Adobe site confirms that Flash Player 17.0 is installed and enabled on my system, the video still does not play when I click on the Start button. • I've always had an Adobe Flash Player update for my frustrating timing Mac users...

I always had an Adobe Flash Player update for my frustrating timing Mac users and have tried to find ways to run the upgrade to multiple users via ARD, but could never find the .pkg file. Today, after a lot of research I found this help file,

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/installation-problems-Flash-Player-Mac.html

To this is a link to the .dmg file that contained the .app file that had the installer .pkg. The link has been labeled the Flash Player for Safari and Firefox - NPAPI

My question is: can I use this link to get the latest Flash Player .pkg installer in the future?

    Hi wkrites,

The PACKAGE inside the APP as a whole is not intended for distribution, you are referring and will not install some required components.

If you distribute Flash Player within your organization, we offer a PKG Installer to be used by tools such as ARD.  If you have not done so, you need a license to distribute Flash Player within your organization.  You will then receive an email with the URL to visit to download the installation file of.  Please see Adobe Flash Player Distribution. Adobe for more information on the Flash Player licenses and candidate.

The Flash Player Administrator's Guide, http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_guide.html, contains useful information for the Flash Player deployment administrator within their organization.

  • The fake Flash Player update infects Macs with Shareware

This isn't a question, but just an info > see below:

(I hope), anyone who has used computers for some time must be aware of the ritual without end of update Adobe Flash against security vulnerabilities. Even if you run Flash on your computer, you have probably seen many titles in the media of tech in the years of the importance of keeping Adobe Flash (and his crony Acrobat PDF Reader) updated to protect against malicious attacks.

Then, what better way to trick someone with their computer infected only by disguising it in an actual Adobe Flash update?

It is precisely this that criminals are now, in their attempts to infect the Apple Mac users with scareware.

The first sign you will see that the criminals are looking to infect your computer Mac OS X is if you see a pop-up window as it appear while you browse the web: (photo here)

The beauty of this approach, point of view of criminals, is that the attack is not invoke any software vulnerability or exploit. Instead, social engineering is used to fool the uninformed user unwittingly download and does not perform a fake Adobe Flash version - designed to infect their computer with scareware.

Some messages to attract the recipients to Web sites to download spyware or other malicious software. Others include an attachment that contains a virus . Delete the message. Do not open the attachment.

    Legitimate security communications from Microsoft

    • Legitimate communications do not include software updates as attachments. We never attach software updates to our security communications. On the contrary, we refer customers to our Web site for more information on the update or the software security incident.
    • Legitimate communications are also on our websites. If we provide information about a security update, you can also find this information on our Web sites.

  • Flash Player update is linked to the default browser?  -Flash not automatically updated when Chrome is the default

    Hello

I managed machines for an organization where the majority of users have no administrator rights.  I put the Flash drive to automatically install updates.  In accordance with article (old)

How the auto update feature does not work in Flash Player?

"Normal Flash Player installations require an administrator account. However, automatic updates are executed even if the user is logged on with a standard account. »

So I think my clients should be updated automatically to version 18.  However when I check, I see that they have not updated.  After watching cela some more I realize that when I use the control panel to check the updates that he launched Chrome, which is our default browser.  Of course, Chrome is up-to-date, because Google takes care of this.  However if I run IE and paste the URL of the version check in IE I see that flash is not up-to-date.  So, I try to run the update of IE, and when he is finished he launched a Chrome page again.  So it seems to me that Flash player uses whatever the browser is configured as default browser to search for updates with Adobe.  However this will not work if a user has Chrome as their default browser, and also has flash player installed separately for IE.

Do you understand my point?  How can I get Flash player automatically updated when a new version is available, even if my default browser is set on Chrome?

    Thank you

    Scott

    Hey Piyush

Thank you very much for this information.  So basically the feature to 'Allow Adobe to update Flash Player' does not work in all changes of the version.  I find it incredibly misleading.  Rather that engage in a cumbersome process to allow each year the opportunity to distribute flash and then create group policies to deploy, and then test the results to have these policies in place when flash tries to update itself, pay attention to the current versions of flash in order to deploy new .msi files and update our policies...

I think I'll just remove the flash of all our systems.  It is clear that after installing flash is a continuous security risk and it is regrettable that we cannot rely on Adobe to help keep their own software update in a simple and effective way.  It's amazing to me that Google can do a better job of keeping flash updated in their browser at adobe.

    Thank you

    Scott

  • Web address of Adobe Flash Player update

I have been asked to update Flash Player and then landed in a Web page to download the update with an address containing "get3.adobe.com". I checked the web address of the page where you can download Flash Player at first by following the link on the home page of Adobe and found that it contained "get.abobe.com". For security reasons, I wish to confirm that get3.adobe.com is an official Adobe Flash Player update site, rather than a well-disguised fraudulent page to encourage users to download malicious software.

You can see that get3.adobe.com is on the adobe.com domain.
