I save a logo in jpg format, it loses quality

I have a logo in psd 300px in its resolution.

It is good quality on the screen.

I have change it 70pixels in its resolutions and 300x300px in dimensions. It is always good to the screen.

I have save for web, the highest quality, the jpg file. I publish on my Instagram profile and logo text becomes too hard and low quality.

Why?

Thank you

"If you put 70px wide at 300 DPI logo print size is 70/300 = 7/30 = 0.23333"

Poster does not use images of logo chosen DPI, image to the DPI of the screen display, so now the web logo will be different sizes.  The size depends on the device, the user uses to display your logo.  On my desktop screen low resolution that has a resolution dpi 84, your logo will be 70/84 = 0.8333 ", on my other desktop appear 70/100 = 0.7' ' on my surface pro 3 70/216 = 0,324" and on my samsung galaxy tab 70/359 = 0,194' "

If its 300px to 70dpi ptint sizze is 300/70 = 30/7 = 4.285"

My 84DPI display 300/84 = 3.57"

My poster 100 dpi 300/100 = 3.0"

"My pro 3 300 Surface / 216 = 1,388"

My Galaxy tab 300.359 0,835 "

  • What is the difference between save in jpeg and jpg format export

    Hello

    Can you tell me what the difference is between save it in jpeg format and export as jpg features.  If I do two things on the same tiff/psd file, the jpeg format is about 10 MB and the jpg is around 2 mb.  What information will I lose through the export feature?

    I use photoshop cc.

    In addition to what Jane said, the reason for the difference in file size, assuming that you used the same quality in both cases, is due to the presence of metadata in the version save slot, but not the export version as.

    If you look at the charts of Jane, you will see the metadata 'none' radio button is selected that tells the program to remove it. When you work with Photoshop on a PSD or other types of files, the program saves a history of all the things you do and stores. This can cause a very large amount of effectively unwanted data is saved and the file size, or even from a PSD can really expand considerably as the Junk does not appear to be stored compressed. The more you work on the document of that metadata more gross accumulates. You can see what happens in Photoshop by selecting File Info

    If you look at the raw data tab, you can see all stored in XML format. It doesn't mean much unless you are an expert, but I imagine that someone finds it useful.

    When you export as is everything that that data are removed, reducing the size of the file. You can see that in taking a Jpeg exported in this way and the information file by calling again. What confuses some people, is that the data are still there when it shouldn't, this occurs because the Act of opening the file is saved and poured in the raw data. It is not really there in your file unless you save the file later.

    Hope that helps

  • Photo Downloader saves the backup in JPG format and not as original Raw files in Windows 10!

    I have upgraded to Windows 10 and re-installed the bridge.  Now, when I download my pictures with photo downloader "copies" are automatically converted to jpg files and not be registered as as before RAW files!  How to stop what's goingon.  I want to save a backup copy copy THOUGHT it was!  The only way to do it now, it seems that must do two downloads - what a loss of productivity at the time!

    Today everything is working normally again.  The copied files are all CR2 (Raw) files as before.  I have no explanation for what is different or why it happened differently the other day, at least I had one of my conversion programs running in the background by mistake.  Sorry if I confused anyone.

    It seems that this isn't a problem, after all, and it was just a mistake on my side.  Sorry people!

    I'm working on a project that requires photos to be sent by electronic mail.  Until today, there has been no problem to do so.  I would right click and it would save the picture with the appropriate title in jpg format, I'd need just to choose the place to send it.  Today it is give me without a title as the subject heading and will not save as a bitmap file, it gives me the ability to change to any other type of jpg file IE.

  • Can we change the default image in JPG format in windows 7

    Hi all

    Our problem is that many users make a screenshot and paste it into an email.

    Our standard company is in outlook rich text format, and so if a user paste a screenshot in the mail it will be great because it's a PNG image.

    I try to educate our users to save screenshots in jpg format and more attached to the post, but I would like to ask, if it is a solution to change the default png to jpg format?

    Thanks for your replies!

    Respect,

    Akos

    Hi Akos,

    There is not really a way taken in charge for you to achieve this goal. However, there may be a 3rd party option that would only achieve this by changing the registry values in Windows.

    However keep in mind that using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Modification of metadata in a re exported jpg - save and degrade the jpg?

    In the choice of photos for my PhotoShelter site, I do the following:

    • I do a collection that contains possible choices, modify the collection in the final choice.
    • I then export the final selection in jpg format to PhotoShelter. export sends them to a specified folder recognized by LR. LR recognize jpg files in the folder and retains the metadata associated with the original raw file.
    • I go to the library Module and to rework the metadata within this folder. in other words, I re - write the metadata title and legend, which makes them appropriate for my site.
    • When I check 'Show in Finder' I don't see the jpg, not an xmp file. This suggests that the metadata are incorporated in the jpg and metadata change caused a jpg re - write and register again. Is this the case?

    I would like to avoid re - save a jpg file.

    Thank you for your help - melody

    I just tested and confirmed the metadata record in file with JPEG's lossless (i.e. without recompression of image data). You will need to manually update the JPEG file with the new keywords using CTRL + S.

  • How to save a Logo in InDesign to use in the new Document?

    Hi all

    I'm new. Period.

    Self-taught.

    But learning.

    I mistakenly created the logo of our company in InDesign (it was easier in the text how I needed).

    Now, I need to 'copy' or save the logo ONLY in the document to be used in a new Document.

    What I tried.

    1 copied and pasted in Illustrator. Save in Illustrator file ESP. up to the new Document... Everything looks good, except that my lines of gradients are WHITE and the gradient box is all white, and the final spacing line is sized differently.

    2 taken from the entire InDesign Document. Copied. Pasted into the new Document. (It is too big) A. Maj + resize with corner of box. -Everything is deformed, text stays the same size, it's horrible. B. scale, Bingo. But I can only evolve at about 85% until there are a few differences OBVIOUSLY NOTICIABLE. My line with gaps some how Expands... but it's really the only noticeable issue.

    3. a lot of savings from both Illustrator and InDesign to try to get it instead as an image, but there is still a problem.

    Help, please!

    All Suggestions are welcome!

    Thank you!

    Put on a single page with nothing else and export to PDF format. Use it wherever you need.

  • A script for 'Save for Web' as .jpg

    I found a script that saves the current selected document in Photoshop as .png on the desktop and use it all the time.

    main() {} function

    declare local variables

    var doc = app.activeDocument;

    var Nomdoc = app.activeDocument.name.slice (0, -4);

    saveFile var = new File ("~/Desktop/" + nomdoc + ".png");

    pngSaveOptions = new PNGSaveOptions();

    pngSaveOptions.interlaced = false;

    doc.saveAs (saveFile, pngSaveOptions, true, Extension.LOWERCASE);

    }

    main();

    Now I really want a similar script to 'Save for Web' as .jpg files, without a color profile, on the desktop. Preferably a version to save it as a quality of 100% and the other to register as quality of 60%.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Here you are...

    function main(){
    if(!documents.length) return;
    var Name = app.activeDocument.name.replace(/\.[^\.]+$/, '');
    var saveFile = File(Folder.desktop + "/" + Name + ".jpg");
    if(saveFile.exists){
       if(!confirm("Overwrite existing document?")) return;
        saveFile.remove();
        }
    SaveForWeb(saveFile,100); //change to 60 for 60%
    }
    main();
    function SaveForWeb(saveFile,jpegQuality) {
    var sfwOptions = new ExportOptionsSaveForWeb();
       sfwOptions.format = SaveDocumentType.JPEG;
       sfwOptions.includeProfile = false;
       sfwOptions.interlaced = 0;
       sfwOptions.optimized = true;
       sfwOptions.quality = jpegQuality; //0-100
    activeDocument.exportDocument(saveFile, ExportType.SAVEFORWEB, sfwOptions);
    }
